Love to see you enjoying Frankfurt in Germany. Weihnachtsmärkte / Christmasmarkets in Germany are just so nice to visit. When we were still living in The Netherlands we would always head over to Cologne, Aachen, Dortmund, Duesseldorf and all the other cities, just to enjoy hanging around on the markets and eat like you’re doing now. Great decision to visit! Enjoy Germany! ❤ and a MERRY Christmas to you both!

Love this vlog. You are walking around an area in Frankfurt where I used to live while in the Army. I left there in 1968 and off to Viet Nam. I am glad that your travels there and Vietnam are in peace and I hope to return there someday. I will be in Australia in April. Loved your vlog about Australia. Spent 4 weeks travelling through Germany last year and we couldn't see the whole country, of course😂
Travelled by train, easy to get around and found the language not too difficult to understand.
We managed to get to October fest in Munich, what a buzz!
Great country.
Ps yep a very long haul flight, we came from Oz.

Yay, Germany! I don't know if you are still in the region, but I highly recommend a day trip to Mainz to see the Collegiate Church of St. Stephan and its Chagall windows, and a stop in Wuppertal to ride the Wuppertaler Schwebebahn (suspension railway). And if you are in Cologne or Bonn, grab a Kolsch beer -- they're fantastic.
You are definitely not in the Southern Hemisphere 🙄 so pleased you had a wonderful time here.

Tia, how do you draw your postcards? On the computer? By hand? If on the computer, what program do you use?. Again, have a great Christmas and New Year. Your videos always bring me joy.
I really enjoyed your Christmas video - watching it on Christmas day as i hide from the 34 degree heat in an air conditioned room here in Australia. It was such an amazing contrast but has really added to a nice Christmas vibe. I relate to your anxiety Tia. Its kind of reassuring to see someone with the same nuanced experience: being both really excited at the adventure of the market but also a bit uncomfortable, for reasons I still dont understand. I love it that Cheveyo understands that you can have both feelings at once. I find a lot of people don't get that. Enjoy your Christmas - with all the trappings you're familiar with.

Germany?!! WOW! Have a great time there. Happy Christmas and a splendid New Year too. Tia, I'm a country boy these days and get really self-conscious when ever I go down to Melbourne so I know how you feel. It's always better when you are with someone and not alone so hang on to Cheveyo when ever it hits you - that's the best advice I can give. Hugs guys.
Seeing you hike in those sandals made me clutch my pearls. It’s nice to see you in supportive footwear. It will probably be good for Tia’s back. Also, you’re wearing hooded sweaters. You can put that hood up in the rain. 😉 I live in the Pacific Northwest US. We don’t carry umbrellas, we cover our heads. Lots of empathy for the short days. It’s like that here, too, except with oppressive cloud coverage. Try to get out in daylight as much as you can. It will help with the feeling sleepy all the time.
The bead roll with the curry wurst is for dipping in the sauce.
As a german I have to say that in my opinion germany is a nice country in spring/summer 😅 but anyway I hope you'll have a great time :)

Welcome in good old Europe. We live in the Netherlands ( next to Germany). We go often to Germany and Austria (we speak German as well). And Australia 8times and NZ on our bucketlist. You inspire us for travelling. Love your trips. We went to the Christmas markets in Cologne 2 weeks ago.

This is just an observation of Tia's anxiety. I am into nutrition and follow a lot of doctors, researchers, and scientists in the US.
Eating a high carb diet, ultra processed foods, sugar, and starches causes insulin spikes, which can bring on anxiety attacks.
Just a thought you might want to think about.

Understand the anxiety I don't suffer it but can't handle crowds well. Not a fan on cities. That was one long trip from NZ.

I actually thought you may head back to the United states for Xmas with your families then possibly do some vlogs of the U.S / Canada starting off with your home town of Sedona the UFO capital of North America what I've been told .

The "French Frys " actually originated in Greece. But the French would never admit that. 😊
LOL! Apfelwein is alcoholic. Hard cider ferments the apples then adds sugar. Apfelwein is fermented with apples and no sugar is added. Glühwein is like mulled wine. Apfelwein is THE Frankfurt drink and goes back centuries. Some people hate the "sour" taste, but once I actually love it.

Tia, you did great dealing with the crowds! I’m not a fan of big crowds either but can deal with it (having done the Indy 500 and the 2000 Sydney Olympics, which had respective crowds of 500K and an estimated 1-2 million in the CBD after closing ceremonies). Your willingness to push through to ensure you experience all that your travels offer is really awesome.
