I was there the day the Christmas markets opened I arrived in Munich on November 24th and left on November 28th it was a good atmosphere at night time around Marienplatz evan though it was busy there i found it peaceful I got some nice little white angels in one of the stalls there for some family members which they liked,I will probaly go back again next year.

What did they charge for Pfand on the mugs?

Regular mugs are 5 Euros Pfand, the medieval chalice is 10 Euros Pfand (lots of people take them home) of course you'll get the money back if you return them
