I lived and worked in FVG for 14 years, and I found Polenta being served as a side everywhere I went. My favorite version was being with friends in the mountains, constantly stirring and stirring the polenta in an old copper pot over a wood-burning stove, then cutting portions with a string.
Our favorite Italian restaurant featured a dish w/ wild mushrooms & gorgonzola on top of soft polenta. They refused to share the recipe, but I figured it out. Now we just make our own! ❤😋🍷

King mushrooms are pretty inexpensive at our local Asian market, much cheaper than a regular grocery store.

I used to eat basil leaves ..but rosemary ..never .i think they have bitter taste
