I grew an account from $3000 to $10,000 doing basically what she said. I was trading 1 to 3 contracts and making about $20 per trade. Took a couple years but now my knowledge has grown along with my confidence
Any big tips that you wish someone would've told you when you were starting out?
@@catbishop206 definitely! More than I can list but a big one is stick to your stop loss. I’ve taken bigger losses than necessary because I was hoping it would bounce back but would instead keep running away from me. Just keep your losses small as possible. Don’t let a $50 loss turn into a $500 loss because of greed and hope. Just cut it at your stop area and move on to the next trade
I would have reach the $10k mark twice as soon if I kept to that rule

OK, this was a really good video. I think either we know what your talking about or we don't. It is not really your problem that we don't know what you know. I started two months ago and already none of my friends have any idea what I am talking about. There is a certain level experience and in this buisiness it is always going to be about learning more, There sure is a sh%t load. Man it just keeps on going. I can day trade stocks. I can't day trade options. It's just gonna take doing it. Day trading stocks right now 5/10/23 is dismal, at least on a small account. You really gotta trade options. That's what it takes to make the bucks!

I enjoy watching your videos and have learned some from the ones I've watched. You did answrr one of my questions in this video. You bought calls on the next Friday. But you didn't say if they were ATM, ITM, or OTM. I always wonder at what delta you are entering. Of if you choose ATM for your options trades.
Presently Im doing mostly next day DTE credit spreads on SPY. And looking to expand my horizons since I plan on retiring in a year or so. Thank you ahead of time.

At 72 I find it sad that your viewers much younger have lost the art of adaptation. I ALWAYS start your videos at 75% speed because I have developed poor hearing and you can talk as fast as you want. I know where 50% speed is too. Imagine them complaining about a stock with hyperbolic price action. 😂❤

When I hear of a small trading account the thing that comes to mind is 10 to 100 dollars, anything from 500 dollars and above is a good equity especially when trading Forex pairs or synthetic indices.

I’m a first time day trader wanna be and I have a hard time understanding the lingo sometimes . What are you referring when you say contract? Other than that I appreciate the knowledge you’re sharing and I thank you.
A contract is just the option that you buy. The option contract tells you the price, expiration date, delta, gamma, break even price etc. it’s just the term used to say which option she bought. It’s not some big form you’re signing or anything lol. Hope that helped. Go to the options list and you’ll see the different options(contracts)

Hey im trying to starting out with the options trading, i have been around it for years now but i cant get the money to start (im from outside the US), just asking why everyone says that you can start with $1000 account or $500 when in Td Ameritrade to get options trading privileges you need at least $2000. It gets confusing a bit sometimes. But thank you for the money, really good videos and explanations

Keep reviewing all of your trades every time you lose and keep studying. Play with a small account and slowly work yourself up. Always set a stop loss. The those are things I have learned over the last few years.
