That was, without doubt, the finest most content filled video I have ever watched on the art and skill of successful trading and I’ve been watching several each week for almost one full year.
I’m not your typical beginning trader. I’m 83 years old and embarked upon this journey in an effort to maintain my mental sharpness and if successful I would be able to increase my ability to step up my charitable giving. So thank you Mike for sharing your superior knowledge of the necessary skill sets that I am now positive that all profitable traders must enjoy in common.

@@tonyb7275 you have to realize these are the kind of characteristics needed to be a great trader. You have to get to this point first, then and only then will the money and ability come. Not the other way around.
!! At several points in this video I felt like you were speaking directly to me. I am at a small crossroads in my trading/investing life and on one hand I am worried about losing the amount of money I have managed to save for investing. Listening to you has encouraged me to keep trying to learn some setups so that one day I can quit my job and be 100% self sufficient.

Oddly, i had started reading "Atomic Habits" 3 days before watching this. Its really good. I also had an experience of "this is end" and all you really do is regret what you didn't get to do. Thank you for all the videos.
Catching these videos is always a huge inspiration and motivator. I'm trying my best to learn everyday, and taking my failures as simply lessons to improve upon. The best message I took from this video (and its maybe the third time I've heard it from you), it doesn't matter what type of trades that make sense to me and I'm good at, that's my niche and that's what will turn me into a consistently profitable trader. It doesn't matter what anyone does or what image I have of the type of trades pros take. This is a personal journey and I'm continually delighted to be guided by you and the tribe at SMB. Thank you!

What I enjoyed about this video is that you aren't showing a bunch of charts with arrows and telling me what to look for so I can be successful. What I liked was the message of having a plan. Understand who I am as a person and how that relates to my trading style. I'm currently reading Playbook and feel I have been going about trading all wrong. Thank you for your educational insight.
Mike, I was a jack of all trades, all over the place retail trader for years trying to make it. SMB free content + DNA program have really allowed me to find focus on what's really important. I started to get a traction when a) focusing on "stocks in play" trading stocks only b) drilling down intra-day to look for tight consolidation areas, wedges and areas around VWAP c) looking for intraday swing type of trades from established S/R levels. I'm not a CPT yet but thanks to SMB I feel like "not yet" instead of "not ever", I feel like I have a chance at least. Thank you.

Every couple of months I rewatch this video as a reminder of the things I need to, that I’m not doing, that is contributing to me not reaching the level I’m capable of. These steps couldn’t be clearer and have kept me in the game because up and until I consistently perform all of these steps, I can’t honestly say that I’m doing everything possible to be my best. Thank you Mike and SMB for putting out great content that gets to the core of what it takes to be great at this incredibly difficult game.

Appreciate the stories shared in the video. Moved by the related experience in strength and sports training/competing. Definitely see the correlations in recognizing when to size up in trades when the opportunity arises with appropriate risk management and when to wait for the signals. Day to day practice/building with records and milestones set through time, solid foundation, and test of challenge.
Excellent trade example and I’m noticing to stack up fundamental variables w/ technicals. In the past I was primarily trading on strong technicals. Game changer learning the other component through SMB and being able to add this in trading process analysis.
Great to be a learning, sharing, and growing from this trading community. 🏋️♂️📈

After watching this video I feel sad that I was not chosen when I applied for an inter at your firm a few years ago because. I know that with your teaching I would have achieved my dream of becoming a professional and consistent trader. Thanks for sharing this wonderful video on how to become a consistent trader. I liked the video from the beginning to the end, especially the part about the playbook. I know that it will help me to improve my trading because I usually only look to make a technical trade with a proper set-up to open position based on my indicators. Now I know that professional traders take more variable in consideration to take a trade. Mike I think that you are a great educator and hope to learn a lot from your videos. Thanks for the video to help remind me that success in anything takes time. I have been trading my live account for about 4 months now and am down a bit on it but am really starting to see and understand what plays and setups are best for me. Hearing how other traders got to where they are and the struggles they had to go through and became better from it helps me continue to put in the work and better myself and my trading. This also reminded me of a quote " Success is a journey not a destination".

There is a power of compounding (to your PNL + Mental Health) when you stop doing whats not working. It might translate to 5% every week but this has monumental results in 1-3 months from today... and especially 1-3 years 🧡💛💙💚

Thank you for posting Mike. I just completed DNA Training. The archived playbook trades have been great, but your details on the $WB trade in this video were bar none, the best walk through of a trade I’ve seen. Entries, where stops were established and adjusted, exits. Loved it and could benefit from more of these. I was in AMD, short early this week. Got the first dollar of drop, but missed the remaining $4 of steady descent that day due to poor trade management.

Really like the way that you add in short interest as well as the way you stack everything (fundamentals, technicals) in your favour before making a trade. For me - this is the only way to trade. I remember the CFTC did a survey of all of the best traders - and the ones that were top above everyone were fundamental based traders.

Great video! Very informative and needed. I'm not consistent, yet... Ive been trading for 3 years and I am learning my niches. I am a poor swing trader, but can nail most of my day trades. I was struggling from the PDT rule for 2 years so I finally opened a cash account on TOS and day trade ITM options as synthetic positions and am tweaking the strategy everyday.
