Also everyone, good news! Anyone who missed out on the Kingdom release for Galvatron because they were turned off by the shoulder issue or the battle damage, the Legacy re-release of the figure will not only have the shoulders fixed, but it also will not have ANY of the battle damage! :D
The shoulder fix is complicated luckily I got mine with good shoulders but you can remove the battle damage try to find baltmatrixs video on it or some other one depends what you find
@@razorshark6790 No, it's really not. My wife's hair dryer, a nylon prying tool and about 10 minutes is all it took to fix mine. Just take your time, line stuff up, heat it appropriately and it's amazing how quick and easy the fix was.
As one of the biggest bumblebee fanboys ever, I’m honestly just happy to see Origin on someone’s list. A timeless design for a timeless character decades in the making. I’ve collected more this year than I ever have in my life and no figure has come close to the love I feel for this weird yellow UFO thingy. I currently keep it on the headboard right above where I sleep and there it shall stay for as long as I live. (until generations Goldbug….maybe.)

We came in soooooo differently that it made me laugh when we both had Grimlock in the same spot hahaha. It really has been a stupendous year for toy robots.
I finally found Tigatron after a Target employee did something I wish I had asked one to do from the start: looked up what other stores in my area actually had the thing. I went to a smaller Target that had more stuff than the supposed "Super" Targets near me and there he was alongside that weird Dracula thing and...Yeah he's tied with Dinobot as my favorite in Kingdom. Both have great transformations, look the part as much they can, and just have this solid feeling I can't describe. Maybe I'm biased cuz the Trigger is my favorite episode of season 1 and why I love the character so much but, still
Man of the trigger rules so much. That is an episode that is stuck with me my entire life. Though when I was a kid I do remember it being so much more mysterious. But then again an empty Desert was mysterious the little me. And yeah that's the trick to finding the stuff the target.

I did buy a ton of figures this year, so my list was quite hard 1. Kingdom cyclonus 2. Kingdom rodimus 3. Kingdom galvatron 4. 86 grimlock 5. Shattered glass starscream 6. Kingdom megatron 7. 86 wreck gar 8. 86 scourge/sweep 9. Siege Mercenary soundblaster 10. Netflix Sparkless seeker Yes the siege seeker mould is on there twice because any use of that mould gets a reserved spot on the list. It’s just the perfect seeker mould. I do struggle to see reason in people who replaced their siege seekers with the earthrise ones
Nice list! There were a lot of banger figures this year like the Galvatron, Cyclonus, Megatron, Scorponok… and pretty much every figure you mentioned. I disagree a little, mainly not including the Starscream a spot or two higher and even having Bumblebee on the list but I wish I could buy everything on the list. The figures are just so good
The problem with star screen is that the transformation is just so complex. It may be not a big deal for me it, but other people will not be as experienced as me. So for them it will be a nightmare to get from one mode to the other.

I recently picked up the Origins Bumblebee not expecting it to live up to all the hype and boy was I wrong. I absolutely adore that figure, like how is it that one of the tiniest figures I own is so good? I also own Galvatron, Rodimus and Cyclonus and they are very solid additions to my collection
Oh, I noticed that Wreck gar was resting on his spikes, so I just wanted to share that there are stands on both of the bottoms of the legs. Great list!

On the subject of Tigatron, I found one in a Walmart before Christmas and I knew my brother wanted one so I bought it for him for Christmas. Only problem was that he was there. So I bought it in front of him and wrapped it and didn't let him open it until Christmas Day. Also I opened it and took the Golden Disk Card and put it in a separate box and told him I bought him two presents.

I did my top 10 on my Instagram and for me Kingdom inferno won, it's just the simplicity combined with his quality, he's not necessarily the best in articulation aside from his ankles but I just pick him up more than most, and of course Kingdom cyclonus was on my list too 😂
Yeah I totally get that. That's honestly why kingdom Soundwave is on this. It's just one of those figure's that you want to interact with the most. Some things may have better articulation or better looks or what ever, but they just lack that fun factor.
The Kingdom Soundwave gives me Titan returns Wheelie vibes. I couldn't keep my hands off of that figure when I was younger and now i have KD Soundwave and it gives me that vibes. 9 and 8 I feel like I'm going to have soon. Most of the time I see nothing wrong with transformer heads on figures😅 I would want the ss Grimlock since someone else got volcanicus set where I shopped and get my transformers from💀

Yenno just now at the age where disposable income is becoming a thing and I cant help but think about some of the figures in the last 5-10 years that I’m glad I didn’t have money to waste on. Not disregarding the whole era, but as you said this was certainly a sort of enlightenment
So now that all the 86 dinobots are out, hasbro should absolutely make a box set of them for like 200 bucks because i would totally buy it. It would also make sense if the box set is toy decoes for the dinobots, since the original releases were already pretty spot on to a better version of the toon look, and it would let them release a red swoop for those who may want that.
I hate to say it, but this top ten pushed me over the edge and I spent 270 to pick up Eris Kultur. Some how she was worth every Penny and my favorite figure in my collection. Still shocked at how good she is.

2021 was a great year for transformers and ss86 was probably the best thing, all movie bots (aside from blur and arcee) turned out to be amazing figures, tho cyclonus (technically not ss86) is still my favorite. Core class soundwave also turned out surprisingly great, I gave one to my friend who has all core class g1 figures as a new year gift and soundwave is his favorite
God yes it was. One of the best years. And yeah 86 was definitely a highlight. That little Soundwave is much like the masterpiece Soundwave. There just too much fun.
I managed to get Tigatron in 2021. It was the literal last day of 2021, but I'll take it. But yeah, his 2021 distribution was so patchy that he might as well be a 2022 figure by the time everyone is able to get one.
That's exactly what I'm saying. People were telling me that they found it weeks ago, but I didn't mean literally none of them were in stores, but they might as well have not been, and there's no way enough people had it to vote for it in the Hall of Fame.
Loved your number one on the list. I don't agree with what you said about Optus Pexus (love the alt mode), but she is truly amazing and would be a wonderful addition to the Transformers universe. I agree her alt mode and robot mode are killer. MMC had some really nice characters this year well except for Star Convoy. That was a Trainwreck. They can't all be grand slams. My list wouldn't have any of those beast wars characters on it. As a kid those toys had zero appeal to me and they still don't. I love what that origins Bumblebee looks like in alt mode and I like his articulation but holy cow there is so much kibble hanging off that robot mode. It looks so sloppy to me I can't look past it. That is a bummer because I LOVE that alt mode and I have wanted one produced to that really did this justice and this certainly does that. I would love it if they fixed a bit of the kibble bits and put a Goldbug head on this. That would make this 1000% better. I love a lot of that Grimlock by the way. I wish they left Wheelie out and used the plastic budget to fill the gaps in the arms, under his feet and all those unsightly screw holes in his head and gave him front teeth and a fire effect piece for his mouth and more poseable arms. Grimlock was one of my first Transformers as a kid (right after Warpath) and I love seeing new figures of him live up to the original.
My problem with the Optus Pexus is simply that it's very apparent that it's a robot. It's not doing a great job of disguising it shape. Unfortunately I don't think there is a way that they could have done all weight with that kibble. The design in the show I didn't have any thought put into how it worked. They just used his normal design out for a completely incongruous altmode. Something had to give when designing an actual figure of it. And yeah I think literally everyone wishes that they'd didn't do the wheelie at all land just used his plastic to upgrade the Grimlock a little.
Kingdom Tigertron? I got it! Also got the upgrades for the mini Soundwave and it makes an already awesome figure into a super mini masterpiece. Love it! Still haven't found a UFO Bee, cant wait.
Welcome back! This was a very great video I really enjoyed it. I think you might’ve been joking but in case you weren’t Tigatron is out now, I have him and blaster already. The bumblebee spaceship third party version thing I own it and it really sucks bad.
Here's the thing about that. I just drove down the entire West Coast of the US from Canada almost to Mexico, and at none of the stores I went to was there a Tigatron. So maybe it's out in some states east of me, but I reject the notion that it is out in any meaningful way.
Honestly, I'm just glad how Hasbro and Takara stepped up their game these past few years. Really. Most people, when doing these lists, would just put 3rd party all over the video (looking at you, Jobby, who untill 2020 end wasn't bothered to take a look at chug stuff) and called it a day. Heh, for me, the stuff i'd put on my list would be harder to pick, since i just buy stuff I am interested enough into that I'm happy with my purchase. But yeah, the Grimlock steals the show in my collection, I just love how there aren't any faux parts and how the transformation fits the simple design - if they made modern masterpiece, then i bet they'd over-engineer the crap out of it. Yeah. I'll never have any Doom Guy figure, but this? This, in my mind, is more than enough spiritual replacement.
Honestly and yeah I too kind of view a Grimlock as the transformers of Doom Slayer. And yeah it would be a super it easy to put nothing but masterpiece on these lists. But I find that they tend to too often be a less satisfying than something just a little simpler.

I, basically, bought all my 2021(released this year) figures after seeing your videos (they either made me want it or reinforced my opinion).
I had one of my biggest hauls of deliveries arrive recently with 3 separate figures from 3 seperate orders come on the same day. This was on the 30th of december so they counted for releasing in 2021 (at least 2 of them do). All 3 surprisingly are now in favorite figures list. First was Kingdom Road Rage which feels 10 times better than that stupid Tracks figure with slightly more possibility in the head and tabs that actually work everywhere on the thing and also having a much better paint job. Second is gonna annoy you as I got Mutant Tigatron in 2021, And this mould deserves the praise that it has gotten as it is better than all the other voyager figures in Kingdom. I am still waiting on my actual Tigatron but I did get the Golden disk version in 2021 so it counts. Finally is a figure I have wanted in my collection ever since I saw it in a local Toyworld. 3 attempts at getting the thing later and I now have it. Earthrise Titan class Scorponok. He is hands down one of my favorite decepticons and redeems the Titan class figures after the awful ratchet joints of Titan class Ark (I just keep it in ship mode because I'm worried about breaking the damn thing). This Thing is everything I could want, Large (bigger than the Ark by a decent bit showing how that was a rip off), Posable and really accurate to the version of the character I remember. Fasttrack becomes a really cool weapon for scorponok and is a worthwhile partner figure to get as well.I have such good time with this thing and it is 100% in my top 3 figures of all time and is the centerpiece to my new display cabinet. This is a long message but I really wanted tell you about this as you are one of my favorite youtubers and inspire me to start making my own content which I will start to do soon, when my tripod arrives.

@@PerspectiveEnd Mutant Tigatron was from Amazon UK since the Australian version never even got a preorder up and Scorponok became a favourite to me thanks to a english dubbed copy of the Headmasters show that was at a local Blockbuster (never found it again but I remember that it had the Japanese intro and was dubbed in english)

if I had to say anything bad about ss86 Grimlock 1. He needed screw caps and a sword instead of Wheelie. 2. He should've had re engineered forearms so he could do sword wielding wrists. I really hope they redeco him into G2 colors, because it's hard to imagine a retail release G1 Grimlock ever matching him.
A masterpiece level figure that I recommend (didn't come out this year but I still recommend them, and I say them because there are many variations of this figure) is any of the Fans Hobby Power Baser/ Machine Eagle, the transformations are fun, the alt modes are amazing, and the price seems just right due to the size and amount of stuff you get. Also their God Armor companion figure is also pretty great. I highly recommend one of the Optimus primes from fans hobby. also their Naval Commander is amazing too, and no the re-issued ones don't have the very fragile plastic, and they sent me replacement parts for mine since I got a first run and it has no problems. But yeah I highly highly recommend a fans hobby Optimus.
Take all the time you need to recover, end of year trips are an absolute pain towards the end. I was convinced that Tigatron didn't exist, weeks of checking stores, keeping track of restock days, bordering insanity. But no, he does exist somehow. It's just really difficult to get a hold of, I blame Hasbros last minute "hey, so we said Kingdom is only 4 waves. That was a lie! We're throwing Blaster and a Core Hot Rod onto the end, oh Slammer and Pipes get moved to wave 5 now too. So enjoy your endless repacks" for all of this. I also don't think Tigatron deserves Transformers figure of the year, there's others that are way more deserving of that spot. Solid list though. As different as others lists will end up being, yours hits all the right notes for why they're placed where they are. And while it can change at any literal second, all of the ones here I'm glad to see they aren't here simply because of hype surrounding the figure.

Glad you enjoyed your vacation. You deserve a break. First of all, I really think your current discord is a mess. It's not your fault, but I feel like there are too many trolls in there. You would need a big and strict mod team you can trust to manage that place. Honestly, I think it's best to shut it down and focus on the Patreon discord instead. As for the list, I'm definitely surprised by the number 1 pick. I know it was good, but I didn't think it was that good. But I don't have the figure, so who am I to judge. Your reasoning is solid too. I'm hoping someone will do an oversize KO of the TE Scorpinok and you have the perfect MP of the character.
I do kind of the fantasize about doing that. I want people to be happy and I feel like getting rid of it would disappoint a lot of people. But I can't profess that the discord turned out the way I wanted it at all. I just wish I could come up with a concrete plan that would work on how to fix it. And oversized TE a scorpion it would be great.
@@PerspectiveEnd Think of it this way, if you shut down the current discord, you would have two advantages. 1. More people will return to commenting on your videos. 2. It might also encourage a few more to contribute to the Patreon. 3. You can't manage 2 discords at once while trying to pump out videos. A smaller discord is also easier to moderate. So I lied, you have 3 advantages. Remember this, you CAN'T make everyone in the world happy. I know it's hard to do. Sometimes we have to make some tough choices.
Like I said I cut off the honorable mentions early. There were so many that I could have done. Like Dinobot or 86 Jazz. But the video was already running long.
I sculpted Cyclonus's on again off again-goatee on him, and it helped improve his headsculpt. Nothing revolutionary, but just that little strip really helped. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I think it helps better tie him to Scourge and Galvatron.
I passed down wreck gar never saw him since kinda bummed however yesterday I went shopping and I just thought I’d take a peak at the transformers not going to buy anything then I see the first kingdom soundwave I have ever seen it was the only one left and I said yes I need this, I am going on holiday soon and I wanted to pack some figures to keep me entertained cuz I’m going during stormy weather and I played with him for a bit then packed him away but I couldn’t stop taking him out of my bag and playing with him his just so fun I agree that it would of been better if we had a transforming lazerbeak but I still love this tiny thing. I still like grimlock just not as much as I used to I love his robot mode he makes my collection stand out and his Rex mode is just so lovely but I just can’t be bothered transforming him and even though I love the Rex mode I can’t display it without him looking wacky because his missing an arm
I'm not joking when I say that that Soundwave is immensely fun to play with. There is just no way to stop your self from picking him up. Also it's unfortunate to hear that about your Grimlock. You can probably buy a free the printed replacement online for his arm.
@@PerspectiveEnd Not all the figures, not all of them made it on the list sadly. SS Dino may not have the greatest articulation, and he may have fake car parts on the chest, but his joints move very smooth, and he can get into some cool poses using the blades. (Especially with the up and down movement the feet have) He also has one of the cleanest backs a movie figure could have, it's amazing for a deluxe class Bayverse figure. While some figures may be objectively better, Dino does so much, for such a good price, and that's why he's my favorite figure to come out in 2021. I recommend him to any collector, even if they hate the Bayverse, because he's a pleasant surprise, and something we've been wanting for a long time.
Bruh have you ever tried a newage seeker! The engineering is so incredible, the chest vents hide in the nosecone in vehicle mode severely slimming down the jet. Plus he has a waist swivel and ab crunch. Despite all that transformation wasn’t horrible at all either. No foe forming cockpit btw
I didn't get DS-01 Starscream cus he was a bit too expensive but managed to find myself a relatively cheap MakeToys Howling Meteor and honestly... Meteor is really good. I genuinely think the War of MP Scale Starscreams should be 3-Way because Meteor makes for a genuinely great budget version of the character

I think part of the discrepancy in our lists is that one the battle chargers are figures from 2020. And the lambos are retools of figure's from 2019. Both of those are prohibited from being included on this list by the rules I set out going into it.
I have to agree with you on the soundwave, the core class is my first ever soundwave figure and I’m so glad I got it. It may not be the best but it’s probably the most (I’ve transformed it over a hundred times by now)
As you like the Kingdom galvatron, have you taken a look at the DNA designs upgrade kit that adds swappable faces, articulated hands, and oddly enough leg extenders?
I did see that, but I wasn't interested because I think the main problem with him is that the Helmet is wrong, the face is fine, but it's cool to get the add ons.
God I can't wait to get my hands on the mass release version of Eris Kultur. Kicking myself in the pants for not being able to grab the original run when it was released. Oh well...

Well this has different Considerations. Like that had accuracy to the classic interpretation of the character, where as the cyclones head is pretty off, and unlike a WTB I factored price in on this. So it being a cheaper figure but being so close to beating the Megatron, gave it an edge.
No joke, I dreamt that there's an edgy Barney movie where in Barney is a robotic exo-suit piloted by Michael Biehn and it's fighting with a giant half Megazord half Mecha Godzilla thing. The things I dreamed up when I'm high on pain and anesthetics.
If you already or do find one online. I'd recommend Titans Return Wheelie. Because it poses mostly good. It looks great and like I said earlier. The feeling is awesome. I also recommend Transformers the last night voyager class Megatron. For information why. Go watch Jobby video on it.
I'm not a huge dinobot fan I guess? I don't know, maybe I'm just not a happy person, but this year in Transformers hasn't been as amazing to me as I see it has for others. The only parts of the list I enthusiastically agreed with are the expensive/exclusive 3rd party figures.
I was biased and was going to wait to get the next Beast Megs they make, hoping it would be better, but I just decided to pull the trigger and got it after chirtsmas. I was not expecting to love the T Rex mode as much as I did. Outside of the obvious panel lines and the chest just not wanting to stay tabbed together on mine, it is just perfect. I was seriously wanting to leave it in dino mode for the rest of time, it was so good.
Every single time I talk about the beast wars Megatron I tried to point out how good the T. Rex mode is. And every time people somehow don't understand how good it is.

My favorite this year was kingdom tigatron, I've wanted a tiga tron since I was 3 when I first watched beast wars but was never able to get one, So I guess this kinda fulfills that childhood dream: edit I was able to find 3 at my local walmart lol I got stupid lucky.
Wow. Awesome list, man. So lemme see... 10. Damn right it's a fun figure. Conversely, the Core class Megatron is trash by comparison, Starscream is so-so but has a sick transformation (it ain't quite perfect, but I like what they were thinking), and Optimus...uhh...it's fine, but I'd rather fiddle with almost any other Optimus figure I have. 9. Galvy is awesome. No denying that. 8. This is one place where I just can't agree there; my experience with the T-Wrecks repaint has been annoying. Straight outta the box, it turns out certain spots on the left arm/T-Rex tail were warped pretty badly, making it hard to transform and impossible to get situated correctly. The transformation makes the MP43 and even the MP43 KO transformations (which is a little more fiddly than the real MP43) look like a G1 toy. 7. Issues aside, this kills the MP52 mold dead, like how Raid bug spray kills bugs dead. 6. Geez, I thought the old Reveal the Shield Deluxe class mold was annoying to transform...SS86-9 Wreck-Gar LOOKS like a nightmare. Sucks that while both modes look cool, gettin' there is a hassle. 5. Huh? I've never heard of folks sayin' they wanted this transformation for Seekers. 😮🤨🤔 But yeah, Cyclonus is a beast. I still hold out hope for a possible Generations Selects reissue as Targetmaster Cyclonus, in G1 toy colors and with the Nightstick from the old Deluxe class Cyclonus (and not some craptastic repaint of Siege Firedrive aka Firebolt, like Generations Selects Artfire got stuck with). 4. Ehh. The head here ain't as bad as R.E.D. or even MP45. And as for that third-party one, the robot mode design looks like it was more intended to go along with the designs of the peeps from Dreamwave's Transformers: The War Within, akin to most of the (much maligned) Titanium Series of figures. Honorable Mentions: Yup. Excellent points on all of'em. 3. If it wasn't so pricey like most of these third-party Legends sized offerings nowadays, this would be a great troop builder to go with the Kingdom figure. Sorta like a nod to the Kingdom show on Netflix, where Scorponok seemed like the Predacon cannon fodder grunt. 2. No comment on Grimmy, cuz it's Grimmy. Like, aren't the only ones that are subpar the Classics, FoC & PotP ones? 1. Ohhh, she's lucky that the figure she was based on was quite a bit older, otherwise she may have had some legit competition. (Okay, MMC, let's see y'all take on Megaempress from Takara's Unite Warriors Megatronia set...yesss!!)
I wouldn't call it trash, it's just not as good. It's quite fun. Interesting, I don't have that problem on my Megatron. Yeah it's unfortunate the new Masterpieces are so not good. It's not a night mare, it's just not fun. As in it lacks fun, not that it has bad. I don't see that version of the Reissue happening, but they do seem to be just reprinting him again every now and then. I think the head is too squat. I mean 40 bucks isn't terrible. It's pretty near modern deluxe in size but twice the quality. There are also the RID 2015 ones. What's the figure she's based on?
Also everyone, good news! Anyone who missed out on the Kingdom release for Galvatron because they were turned off by the shoulder issue or the battle damage, the Legacy re-release of the figure will not only have the shoulders fixed, but it also will not have ANY of the battle damage! :D

The shoulder fix is complicated luckily I got mine with good shoulders but you can remove the battle damage try to find baltmatrixs video on it or some other one depends what you find

@@razorshark6790 No, it's really not. My wife's hair dryer, a nylon prying tool and about 10 minutes is all it took to fix mine. Just take your time, line stuff up, heat it appropriately and it's amazing how quick and easy the fix was.

As one of the biggest bumblebee fanboys ever, I’m honestly just happy to see Origin on someone’s list. A timeless design for a timeless character decades in the making. I’ve collected more this year than I ever have in my life and no figure has come close to the love I feel for this weird yellow UFO thingy. I currently keep it on the headboard right above where I sleep and there it shall stay for as long as I live. (until generations Goldbug….maybe.)
This is probably the single year were I also bought the most figure's in my life.
And yeah that bumblebee is just glorious.

I finally found Tigatron after a Target employee did something I wish I had asked one to do from the start: looked up what other stores in my area actually had the thing. I went to a smaller Target that had more stuff than the supposed "Super" Targets near me and there he was alongside that weird Dracula thing and...Yeah he's tied with Dinobot as my favorite in Kingdom. Both have great transformations, look the part as much they can, and just have this solid feeling I can't describe. Maybe I'm biased cuz the Trigger is my favorite episode of season 1 and why I love the character so much but, still
Man of the trigger rules so much. That is an episode that is stuck with me my entire life.
Though when I was a kid I do remember it being so much more mysterious. But then again an empty Desert was mysterious the little me.
And yeah that's the trick to finding the stuff the target.

Yes the siege seeker mould is on there twice because any use of that mould gets a reserved spot on the list. It’s just the perfect seeker mould. I do struggle to see reason in people who replaced their siege seekers with the earthrise ones
The problem I was going to have with the siege seeker mold is that they are repaints of figure's from a 2019.
Those are not 2021 figure's.
Nice list! There were a lot of banger figures this year like the Galvatron, Cyclonus, Megatron, Scorponok… and pretty much every figure you mentioned. I disagree a little, mainly not including the Starscream a spot or two higher and even having Bumblebee on the list but I wish I could buy everything on the list. The figures are just so good
The problem with star screen is that the transformation is just so complex.
It may be not a big deal for me it, but other people will not be as experienced as me.
So for them it will be a nightmare to get from one mode to the other.

2021 had so many absolute bangers. I bought so many new toys this year and only regretted one or two.
I regretted more, but I had to buy a lot more than most people to do this show.
I recently picked up the Origins Bumblebee not expecting it to live up to all the hype and boy was I wrong. I absolutely adore that figure, like how is it that one of the tiniest figures I own is so good? I also own Galvatron, Rodimus and Cyclonus and they are very solid additions to my collection

Oh, I noticed that Wreck gar was resting on his spikes, so I just wanted to share that there are stands on both of the bottoms of the legs. Great list!
I do know about those, but I didn't think they were a vital to use for the few seconds I was going to be taking those shots for this video.
I got slag for christmas, shoulders are very wide, an ok triceratops and a smooth transformation so far my favourite.

On the subject of Tigatron, I found one in a Walmart before Christmas and I knew my brother wanted one so I bought it for him for Christmas. Only problem was that he was there. So I bought it in front of him and wrapped it and didn't let him open it until Christmas Day. Also I opened it and took the Golden Disk Card and put it in a separate box and told him I bought him two presents.

I did my top 10 on my Instagram and for me Kingdom inferno won, it's just the simplicity combined with his quality, he's not necessarily the best in articulation aside from his ankles but I just pick him up more than most, and of course Kingdom cyclonus was on my list too 😂
Yeah I totally get that. That's honestly why kingdom Soundwave is on this.
It's just one of those figure's that you want to interact with the most.
Some things may have better articulation or better looks or what ever, but they just lack that fun factor.
The Kingdom Soundwave gives me Titan returns Wheelie vibes. I couldn't keep my hands off of that figure when I was younger and now i have KD Soundwave and it gives me that vibes.

So now that all the 86 dinobots are out, hasbro should absolutely make a box set of them for like 200 bucks because i would totally buy it.
It would also make sense if the box set is toy decoes for the dinobots, since the original releases were already pretty spot on to a better version of the toon look, and it would let them release a red swoop for those who may want that.
Yeah that would really be great of them to do, though I don't exactly see them being willing.

But I was trying to keep this list relegated to figure's that came out this year.
2021 was a great year for transformers and ss86 was probably the best thing, all movie bots (aside from blur and arcee) turned out to be amazing figures, tho cyclonus (technically not ss86) is still my favorite. Core class soundwave also turned out surprisingly great, I gave one to my friend who has all core class g1 figures as a new year gift and soundwave is his favorite

That little Soundwave is much like the masterpiece Soundwave. There just too much fun.
I managed to get Tigatron in 2021. It was the literal last day of 2021, but I'll take it. But yeah, his 2021 distribution was so patchy that he might as well be a 2022 figure by the time everyone is able to get one.
That's exactly what I'm saying. People were telling me that they found it weeks ago, but I didn't mean literally none of them were in stores, but they might as well have not been, and there's no way enough people had it to vote for it in the Hall of Fame.

Loved your number one on the list. I don't agree with what you said about Optus Pexus (love the alt mode), but she is truly amazing and would be a wonderful addition to the Transformers universe. I agree her alt mode and robot mode are killer. MMC had some really nice characters this year well except for Star Convoy. That was a Trainwreck. They can't all be grand slams.
My list wouldn't have any of those beast wars characters on it. As a kid those toys had zero appeal to me and they still don't. I love what that origins Bumblebee looks like in alt mode and I like his articulation but holy cow there is so much kibble hanging off that robot mode. It looks so sloppy to me I can't look past it. That is a bummer because I LOVE that alt mode and I have wanted one produced to that really did this justice and this certainly does that. I would love it if they fixed a bit of the kibble bits and put a Goldbug head on this. That would make this 1000% better.
I love a lot of that Grimlock by the way. I wish they left Wheelie out and used the plastic budget to fill the gaps in the arms, under his feet and all those unsightly screw holes in his head and gave him front teeth and a fire effect piece for his mouth and more poseable arms. Grimlock was one of my first Transformers as a kid (right after Warpath) and I love seeing new figures of him live up to the original.
My problem with the Optus Pexus is simply that it's very apparent that it's a robot. It's not doing a great job of disguising it shape.
Unfortunately I don't think there is a way that they could have done all weight with that kibble. The design in the show I didn't have any thought put into how it worked.
They just used his normal design out for a completely incongruous altmode. Something had to give when designing an actual figure of it.
And yeah I think literally everyone wishes that they'd didn't do the wheelie at all land just used his plastic to upgrade the Grimlock a little.
Kingdom Tigertron? I got it! Also got the upgrades for the mini Soundwave and it makes an already awesome figure into a super mini masterpiece. Love it! Still haven't found a UFO Bee, cant wait.

Welcome back! This was a very great video I really enjoyed it. I think you might’ve been joking but in case you weren’t Tigatron is out now, I have him and blaster already. The bumblebee spaceship third party version thing I own it and it really sucks bad.
Here's the thing about that. I just drove down the entire West Coast of the US from Canada almost to Mexico, and at none of the stores I went to was there a Tigatron.
So maybe it's out in some states east of me, but I reject the notion that it is out in any meaningful way.

I got tigatron in the beginning of December at my local Walmart. there were 2 on the shelf and haven't seen one since.

I quite agree with you there. I can't think of a more successful beast mode.
Honestly, I'm just glad how Hasbro and Takara stepped up their game these past few years. Really. Most people, when doing these lists, would just put 3rd party all over the video (looking at you, Jobby, who untill 2020 end wasn't bothered to take a look at chug stuff) and called it a day. Heh, for me, the stuff i'd put on my list would be harder to pick, since i just buy stuff I am interested enough into that I'm happy with my purchase. But yeah, the Grimlock steals the show in my collection, I just love how there aren't any faux parts and how the transformation fits the simple design - if they made modern masterpiece, then i bet they'd over-engineer the crap out of it. Yeah. I'll never have any Doom Guy figure, but this? This, in my mind, is more than enough spiritual replacement.
Honestly and yeah I too kind of view a Grimlock as the transformers of Doom Slayer.
And yeah it would be a super it easy to put nothing but masterpiece on these lists.
But I find that they tend to too often be a less satisfying than something just a little simpler.

I, basically, bought all my 2021(released this year) figures after seeing your videos (they either made me want it or reinforced my opinion).
I had one of my biggest hauls of deliveries arrive recently with 3 separate figures from 3 seperate orders come on the same day. This was on the 30th of december so they counted for releasing in 2021 (at least 2 of them do). All 3 surprisingly are now in favorite figures list. First was Kingdom Road Rage which feels 10 times better than that stupid Tracks figure with slightly more possibility in the head and tabs that actually work everywhere on the thing and also having a much better paint job. Second is gonna annoy you as I got Mutant Tigatron in 2021, And this mould deserves the praise that it has gotten as it is better than all the other voyager figures in Kingdom. I am still waiting on my actual Tigatron but I did get the Golden disk version in 2021 so it counts. Finally is a figure I have wanted in my collection ever since I saw it in a local Toyworld. 3 attempts at getting the thing later and I now have it. Earthrise Titan class Scorponok. He is hands down one of my favorite decepticons and redeems the Titan class figures after the awful ratchet joints of Titan class Ark (I just keep it in ship mode because I'm worried about breaking the damn thing). This Thing is everything I could want, Large (bigger than the Ark by a decent bit showing how that was a rip off), Posable and really accurate to the version of the character I remember. Fasttrack becomes a really cool weapon for scorponok and is a worthwhile partner figure to get as well.I have such good time with this thing and it is 100% in my top 3 figures of all time and is the centerpiece to my new display cabinet.
This is a long message but I really wanted tell you about this as you are one of my favorite youtubers and inspire me to start making my own content which I will start to do soon, when my tripod arrives.

@@PerspectiveEnd Mutant Tigatron was from Amazon UK since the Australian version never even got a preorder up and Scorponok became a favourite to me thanks to a english dubbed copy of the Headmasters show that was at a local Blockbuster (never found it again but I remember that it had the Japanese intro and was dubbed in english)

if I had to say anything bad about ss86 Grimlock
1. He needed screw caps and a sword instead of Wheelie.
2. He should've had re engineered forearms so he could do sword wielding wrists.
I really hope they redeco him into G2 colors, because it's hard to imagine a retail release G1 Grimlock ever matching him.

A masterpiece level figure that I recommend (didn't come out this year but I still recommend them, and I say them because there are many variations of this figure) is any of the Fans Hobby Power Baser/ Machine Eagle, the transformations are fun, the alt modes are amazing, and the price seems just right due to the size and amount of stuff you get. Also their God Armor companion figure is also pretty great. I highly recommend one of the Optimus primes from fans hobby.
also their Naval Commander is amazing too, and no the re-issued ones don't have the very fragile plastic, and they sent me replacement parts for mine since I got a first run and it has no problems.
But yeah I highly highly recommend a fans hobby Optimus.
I have a look at that one with some interest, it does look kind of cool.

Take all the time you need to recover, end of year trips are an absolute pain towards the end.
I was convinced that Tigatron didn't exist, weeks of checking stores, keeping track of restock days, bordering insanity. But no, he does exist somehow. It's just really difficult to get a hold of, I blame Hasbros last minute "hey, so we said Kingdom is only 4 waves. That was a lie! We're throwing Blaster and a Core Hot Rod onto the end, oh Slammer and Pipes get moved to wave 5 now too. So enjoy your endless repacks" for all of this. I also don't think Tigatron deserves Transformers figure of the year, there's others that are way more deserving of that spot.
Solid list though. As different as others lists will end up being, yours hits all the right notes for why they're placed where they are. And while it can change at any literal second, all of the ones here I'm glad to see they aren't here simply because of hype surrounding the figure.

First of all, I really think your current discord is a mess. It's not your fault, but I feel like there are too many trolls in there. You would need a big and strict mod team you can trust to manage that place. Honestly, I think it's best to shut it down and focus on the Patreon discord instead.
As for the list, I'm definitely surprised by the number 1 pick. I know it was good, but I didn't think it was that good. But I don't have the figure, so who am I to judge. Your reasoning is solid too.
I'm hoping someone will do an oversize KO of the TE Scorpinok and you have the perfect MP of the character.
I do kind of the fantasize about doing that. I want people to be happy and I feel like getting rid of it would disappoint a lot of people. But I can't profess that the discord turned out the way I wanted it at all.
I just wish I could come up with a concrete plan that would work on how to fix it.

@@PerspectiveEnd Think of it this way, if you shut down the current discord, you would have two advantages. 1. More people will return to commenting on your videos. 2. It might also encourage a few more to contribute to the Patreon. 3. You can't manage 2 discords at once while trying to pump out videos. A smaller discord is also easier to moderate.

I sculpted Cyclonus's on again off again-goatee on him, and it helped improve his headsculpt. Nothing revolutionary, but just that little strip really helped. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I think it helps better tie him to Scourge and Galvatron.
I have seen pictures of him with the goatee painted, and yes it does look a lot better that way.

I passed down wreck gar never saw him since kinda bummed however yesterday I went shopping and I just thought I’d take a peak at the transformers not going to buy anything then I see the first kingdom soundwave I have ever seen it was the only one left and I said yes I need this, I am going on holiday soon and I wanted to pack some figures to keep me entertained cuz I’m going during stormy weather and I played with him for a bit then packed him away but I couldn’t stop taking him out of my bag and playing with him his just so fun I agree that it would of been better if we had a transforming lazerbeak but I still love this tiny thing. I still like grimlock just not as much as I used to I love his robot mode he makes my collection stand out and his Rex mode is just so lovely but I just can’t be bothered transforming him and even though I love the Rex mode I can’t display it without him looking wacky because his missing an arm

SS Dino may not have the greatest articulation, and he may have fake car parts on the chest, but his joints move very smooth, and he can get into some cool poses using the blades. (Especially with the up and down movement the feet have) He also has one of the cleanest backs a movie figure could have, it's amazing for a deluxe class Bayverse figure. While some figures may be objectively better, Dino does so much, for such a good price, and that's why he's my favorite figure to come out in 2021. I recommend him to any collector, even if they hate the Bayverse, because he's a pleasant surprise, and something we've been wanting for a long time.
I have Cyclonus and BW Megatron and I'm glad I got them. I'm hoping that I'll be able to get Hot Rod soon.
It's a good figure, it just feels a little light for what it is.
Bruh have you ever tried a newage seeker! The engineering is so incredible, the chest vents hide in the nosecone in vehicle mode severely slimming down the jet.
Plus he has a waist swivel and ab crunch. Despite all that transformation wasn’t horrible at all either.

I didn't get DS-01 Starscream cus he was a bit too expensive but managed to find myself a relatively cheap MakeToys Howling Meteor and honestly... Meteor is really good. I genuinely think the War of MP Scale Starscreams should be 3-Way because Meteor makes for a genuinely great budget version of the character

I think part of the discrepancy in our lists is that one the battle chargers are figures from 2020.
And the lambos are retools of figure's from 2019.

I have to agree with you on the soundwave, the core class is my first ever soundwave figure and I’m so glad I got it. It may not be the best but it’s probably the most (I’ve transformed it over a hundred times by now)
It's a lot like the official masterpiece in that regard. It's just so fun.
As you like the Kingdom galvatron, have you taken a look at the DNA designs upgrade kit that adds swappable faces, articulated hands, and oddly enough leg extenders?
I did see that, but I wasn't interested because I think the main problem with him is that the Helmet is wrong, the face is fine, but it's cool to get the add ons.
The 3rd party space Bumblebee is actually based on the War Within comics, the more you know.
Which is still a Reinterpritation of the character and therefore not the thing we're really needed.
God I can't wait to get my hands on the mass release version of Eris Kultur. Kicking myself in the pants for not being able to grab the original run when it was released. Oh well...

Well this has different Considerations. Like that had accuracy to the classic interpretation of the character, where as the cyclones head is pretty off, and unlike a WTB I factored price in on this. So it being a cheaper figure but being so close to beating the Megatron, gave it an edge.

I was biased and was going to wait to get the next Beast Megs they make, hoping it would be better, but I just decided to pull the trigger and got it after chirtsmas. I was not expecting to love the T Rex mode as much as I did. Outside of the obvious panel lines and the chest just not wanting to stay tabbed together on mine, it is just perfect. I was seriously wanting to leave it in dino mode for the rest of time, it was so good.
Every single time I talk about the beast wars Megatron I tried to point out how good the T. Rex mode is.
And every time people somehow don't understand how good it is.

10. Damn right it's a fun figure. Conversely, the Core class Megatron is trash by comparison, Starscream is so-so but has a sick transformation (it ain't quite perfect, but I like what they were thinking), and Optimus...uhh...it's fine, but I'd rather fiddle with almost any other Optimus figure I have.
9. Galvy is awesome. No denying that.
8. This is one place where I just can't agree there; my experience with the T-Wrecks repaint has been annoying. Straight outta the box, it turns out certain spots on the left arm/T-Rex tail were warped pretty badly, making it hard to transform and impossible to get situated correctly. The transformation makes the MP43 and even the MP43 KO transformations (which is a little more fiddly than the real MP43) look like a G1 toy.
7. Issues aside, this kills the MP52 mold dead, like how Raid bug spray kills bugs dead.
6. Geez, I thought the old Reveal the Shield Deluxe class mold was annoying to transform...SS86-9 Wreck-Gar LOOKS like a nightmare. Sucks that while both modes look cool, gettin' there is a hassle.
5. Huh? I've never heard of folks sayin' they wanted this transformation for Seekers. 😮🤨🤔 But yeah, Cyclonus is a beast. I still hold out hope for a possible Generations Selects reissue as Targetmaster Cyclonus, in G1 toy colors and with the Nightstick from the old Deluxe class Cyclonus (and not some craptastic repaint of Siege Firedrive aka Firebolt, like Generations Selects Artfire got stuck with).
4. Ehh. The head here ain't as bad as R.E.D. or even MP45. And as for that third-party one, the robot mode design looks like it was more intended to go along with the designs of the peeps from Dreamwave's Transformers: The War Within, akin to most of the (much maligned) Titanium Series of figures.
Honorable Mentions: Yup. Excellent points on all of'em.
3. If it wasn't so pricey like most of these third-party Legends sized offerings nowadays, this would be a great troop builder to go with the Kingdom figure. Sorta like a nod to the Kingdom show on Netflix, where Scorponok seemed like the Predacon cannon fodder grunt.
2. No comment on Grimmy, cuz it's Grimmy. Like, aren't the only ones that are subpar the Classics, FoC & PotP ones?
