In the past 7 or 8 months we have received not 1, not 2, but around 5 broken, unfinished, unoptimized games coming from these Triple-A Studios. Saints Row, Modern Warfare II, Star Wars Jedi Survivor, RedFall etc. I am sick and tired of these billion dollar publishers and putting out unfinished games, being so out of touch with the gaming industry, and having the audacity to want me spend $30 extra dollars for the latest Call of Duty Waifu Skin bundle. Something's gotta change because it's only getting worse.
I think the state of current gaming is a sign for me to move on. Move on to better and bigger things in my life. Feeding money to all these greasy reptilians in suits won't get me anywhere in life. I salute you, for making an awesome video. The world NEEDS to know about this.
I realy miss these times where games are made for fun and love. Not like today's standards. Besides if developers had walked out already i am pretty sure that these AAA would drown in the toilet after their corporate greed.
I keep saying it. This is why people need to stop defending broken video games now a days dude. This is pissing me off even more like I'm trying to figure out what wrong with the world now!🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
I miss when you unlocked all the cosmetics by playing the game, nowadays at best you can sometimes grind for in game currency but buying stuff off an online shop just isn't as satisfying as finding items by playing the game.
That's what I miss the most, if I see a cool skin or a cool cosmetic or a weapon, I grind and I earn it. Nowadays you HAVE to buy it to have it. I would have no problem with purchasable cosmetics if I can earn it and unlock it instead.
Activision: Modern Wafare II is the most advanced Call of aduty ever made! Over 3,000 deva worked on it, with a 300 million dollar budget! Buy a waifu skins for 30 dollars each! Also Activision: Can't put in a barracks and stats tracker
You hit the nail on the coffin with this video. It is becoming a very dangerous trend for these AAA studios release unfinished and un optimized games. There is no excuse for a game to come out and PC players that got RTX 4090s should not be getting poor performance when playing a game. One of these days the line is going to be crossed and there will be a big lawsuit
I have a 4070 Ti (and still have my 3060 ti) and I shouldn't have to worry about new games not being optimized and my GPU is struggling. I paid alot of money for this damn card
No ones gonna sue because the companies have thousands of lawyers at their disposal and the amount of money it would take is something the average person can't afford. And even then there's no guarantee it would be successful. These companies can get away with a lot. Unless you get the government involved (which it never will), don't expect anything
I know it will probably be a losing battle but at this point somethings gotta give and we have to at least try. Unless a law gets put in place to stop this from happening
Never. Cyberpunk was made by inexperienced amateurs. Thats why its so trash. GTA6 is made by experienced talented developers that made GTA Games for 20 years
R⭐ is trash nowadays lol. They've milked the prehistoric GTA5 cow so hard that the tiddies have dried up and the milk has turned to dust lmao hahahhahahaha. What a shame this company has become, and the worst part is the R⭐ puppets that still defend them for milking this old GTA5 turd lmao
TALK YOUR SHIT. Yakuza series LITERALLY SAVED gaming for me, consistent releases, consistent quality. Companies drop one groo game every 7 years if even that, but they been coming through unlike these Triple ASS companies/
I know that this sounds crazy but there really needs to be a law where unfinished games should get a 50 million bill for releasing a buggy game a option to refund the game and 3 dlc pack because they just want to buck these game studios just get away with it
If you’re actually wondering why they don’t get sued, it’s simply because you can’t sue them for this. As far as the law and software are concerned, if the program downloads or installs when you pay for it, and the program starts when you click it… You can’t sue them. If you buy Battlefield 9 and get space invaders the only thing you can sue for is false advertising. Which will be an uphill battle even at that point
That's what I heard too, and the shareholders threatened to pull out. Which goes to show you that CDPR and their ambitious ideas were cut short because of white collar suits and executives
This is starting to become a habit from these game developers. Releasing games that are either unfinished or in a broken state. There is simply no excuse for this nonsense. You know you expect us to give you $75, but you can’t even finish the game and make sure it’s polished. And then have the audacity to send out an “apology” paragraph. If you keep doing it, are you really sorry??? But just think about maybe 30 years from now. Games are probably gonna costs $100 by then. Now imagine paying that much for a broken unfinished game. If we’re at the point where we’re begging for you to finish a game, then we have a problem. The simple solution is to demand better and stop giving these companies your money when they don’t deserve it. And yes that includes Rockstar. Stop tolerating this anti-consumer behavior. Also I felt what you said about MW2. You can’t even load into the game without them advertising skin packs 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️.
I've been having more fun with indie developer games than I've had in a long time, and its insane that indie devs can get things right with literally the .00010% of the budget of these big AAA devs.
I agree. Do not ever pre-order games. You should want to have the ability to assess the quality of the product before you buy it. The likely reason these AAA gaming companies have not been sued is because they're mostly based in the USA or other countries that have weak consumer protection laws. So I would assume it would be a case of 'We released the game but we never said it wasn't unfinished or full of bugs'. Australia has strong consumer protection laws, so when Fallout 76 came around, Bethesda was forced to provide refunds to its Australian customers. If more countries adopted similar laws, this would help to encourage the AAA companies to consider not releasing unfinished games, when they know they might have to pay a large portion of their earnings back. I'm don't think it's likely game developers would actually dig their heels in and refuse to release a game until it's ready. If they don't, they're effectively failing to meet their contractual obligations as workers for the development studio, so could be easily fired in retaliation. Especially for the studios based in the USA, which has almost every aspect of its legal system benefiting employers over employees. Developers know this, and they don't want to lose their job. Many game devs work paycheck to paycheck, so they cannot afford to risk losing their job over taking action to oppose a morally questionable business practice. Unions are almost non-existent in the USA and from what I understand they frequently fail to be formed or are crushed by corrupt lawmakers. Even if they magically don't get fired, it's still bad for them. Workers don't get paid when they go on strike, as far as I know. I predict that some aspects of these underhanded practices will go away over time, as governments around the world begin to update their relevant consumer protection laws, but some will remain because the gaming industry has become more mainstream and as a result more commercialized, similar to sport and movies.
I hate to break it to developers, and the people who advocate for them but you're not making art. You're making a product. Not keeping your customer happy is a sure way to drive everyone away from it
Hard pill to swallow: AAA Gaming is still going to be pathetic since people are still going to spend loads of money on a game and complain about it rather than not buying the game from the company and pirate the game. People need to stop spending money on microtransactions, the company rather release shit games with microtransactions instead of releasing a finished game with an expansion later in the game life cycle. But it's mostly the higher ups in the company pushing the devs to release unfinished products
*after Skyrim in 2011, gaming failed to evolve and reach the next level of creativity. everything became a copy paste and recycled concept....and developers just wanted to CASH IN instead of giving the fans something unique and groundbreaking 👎 Personally, I don't mind certain companies going bankrupt or out of business now....that's usually what happens when you get it wrong 😂 let bad developers die and those still among the living should take heed and actually put some thought into making the Best Possible Game* 🌠
The last time a bought a aaa game on lunch day was years ago. Usually I wait a couple of years for them to be $10 or less. If they have micro transactions, (most do) I avoid them all together.
I believe the two issues was that they rushed it to satisfy investors, which in turn alot of ambitious ideas that was promised was cut. And the 2nd the publishers overpromised and underdelivered. I like Cyberpunk but that's the cold truth. People really said this was gonna be the first ever AAAA game and rival GTA. But sadly they ended up fumbling it.
Gaming is dead to me now in days I played yakuza 0 through 7 in I can't wait for the 8 soon elfring I will play that but now Gaming to me is dead to me cause fing aaa company can't do shit right
0:47 that crossed eye tho 😂😂😂😂 sorry man i know your really serious about this but i did remember playing gta 3 seeing that everytime i laugh at chick making a cross eye. well she's dead anyway. i gotta screenshot those parts i'll start with sweet that one is too much to handle. tho i do got the original versions of gta trilogy tho not the new trash type. i
i have stopped buying games, i dont pre-order games anymore and i never buy games on day one anymore...enough is enough. I cant convince others t do d same , but i can stop supporting the bullshit..........only in d game industry can u continue t scam your audience n customers and get away with it. Fortunately for me i have me a very gud gaming pc and lots of older games from a few years back that i did not hav d chance t play so i wont b bored any time soon.
This is an uninformed take, you really think developers care about there games? It's just a job to them. If they was passionate then why hasn't the game been polished at the start?
Um probably do to the fact that the publishers and executives put them through extreme crunches to meet their quota and earnings. If they had full reigns, games would be coming out more polished
You keep buying AAA tho . Can't cry about it , if u keep buying the next madden or cod or ect Sued , it's in thier terms of service , you accepted their terms when u clicked yes. They don't care anyways. But for you, good luck for whatever comes next.
I realy miss these times where games are made for fun and love. Not like today's standards. Besides if developers had walked out already i am pretty sure that these AAA would drown in the toilet after their corporate greed.
It's basically a trend in the AAA gaming industry.
Unfinished and buggy games for $70 plus tax is crazy.
Could not be me bruh. That's outrageous
I know its an old video but it still holds up.
This video deserves loads of attention!!!
Agreed!
I keep saying it. This is why people need to stop defending broken video games now a days dude. This is pissing me off even more like I'm trying to figure out what wrong with the world now!🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️

Thank goodness for Indie games for putting decent shit these days. Gaming is alive, but definitely not for AAA development
You can also throw in Nintendo. Indie, Nintendo, and pc is where it is at.
Get ready for GTA 6. Waiting for 6 years and it will look like Cyberpunk 2077.
Never. Cyberpunk was made by inexperienced amateurs. Thats why its so trash.
GTA6 is made by experienced talented developers that made GTA Games for 20 years

Part of the reason I became a solo indie dev is cause the state of AAA trash major companies keep releasing.
TALK YOUR SHIT. Yakuza series LITERALLY SAVED gaming for me, consistent releases, consistent quality. Companies drop one groo game every 7 years if even that, but they been coming through unlike these Triple ASS companies/
Who cares. Gaming as a whole is dead.

Glad i'm no more in the gaming community.
I remember cdpr receiving threats after they wanted to delay the game🤔

Put some respect on cyberpunk atleast there actually doing something unlike Rockstar
Yeah that is true, at least that's something I can give to CD Projekt Red over Rockstar

Gaming is not as good like it used to be. It’s really sad
Remwber kids, its morally okay to pirate AAA games. Especially EA's
100%
The last time a bought a aaa game on lunch day was years ago. Usually I wait a couple of years for them to be $10 or less. If they have micro transactions, (most do) I avoid them all together.

just pirate AAA game at this point lmao
Or pirate good old fashioned games from the ps2 days, GameCube, or Xbox 360.
The funny and sar thing is your right.
also dead island 2 is optimized except for denuvo

You keep buying AAA tho .
Can't cry about it , if u keep buying the next madden or cod or ect
Sued , it's in thier terms of service , you accepted their terms when u clicked yes.
Gamers need to take personal responsibility.
Why would they change plus its not a right to game , for any of us.
Save ya money and don't buy AAA
Or wait years then go ahead and buy at discount and it's more complete of a game.
Nintendo exclusive and indie tittles are where it's at in gaming these days
Dredge is fun!
Lol union , go on strike lol dude im sorry you have no idea what youre talking about.
No fighting , just trying to help you.
The publisher owns them .
If they font wanna work, theyd be fired on the spot.
No unions and the developer in on it with the publisher more than you think.
Don't lose hope, guys. I know it is bad but if we don't give up, we can try change gaming for better.
