ISTANBUL ON THE FOREIGN EYE
Inspiration, enjoyment, passion, mess, love, hate, problems, people, naivety... among many other terms and adjectives that would never be enough to describe in barely ten minutes what goes through the heads of the foreigners living in the, colourful, exotic and always addictive Istanbul...
We explore the feelings from differently aged random foreigners from countries such as: Canada, Austria, Iran, Britain, Finland and Sweden... We will analyze the feelings of a bunch of foreigners from the perspective of teachers, students, social workers, artists, and architects. And understand how their clean look adopts different angles of vision at the face of a completely different world.
This video is presented as my own perception of the town and its people... However this is how I pay homage to the beautiful city I live in; I do so through the words of those going through the same experiences Im living now.
The concept of this project is simply to compose a descriptive, dynamic and humble material in order to portrait how Istanbul taste on a foreign eye.
ESTAMBUL AL OJO FORÁNEO
Inspiración, placer, pasión, desorden, amor, odio gente, inocencia. Entre muchos otros términos y adjetivos que nunca serán suficientes para describir en diez cortos minutos que es lo que pasa por las cabezas de los extranjeros que pueblan las calles de la colorida, exótica y siempre adictiva Estambul
Exploramos así los sentimientos de distintos extranjeros , de diferentes edades que vienen de países como: Canadá, Austria, Irán, Reino Unido, Finlandia, y Suecia. Escuchamos desde la perspectiva de: profesores, trabajadores sociales, artistas, arquitectos, como a través su mirada limpia, forman diferentes percepciones al enfrentar un mundo completamente nuevo.
Este video se presenta como mi propio ángulo sobre la ciudad y sus gentes. Rindo homenaje así, a través de las palabras de aquellos que experimentan las mismas vivencias. La idea es simplemente componer un material descriptivo, dinámico y humilde con el que retratar cómo sabe Estambul al ojo foráneo.

Istanbul is probably the most abiding city in the world. After all these horrible urbanization that has been going over half a century without control or plan, it still is a beautiful city.

Finland is not Scandinavian it is nordic country and a country cannot be secular islamic, it is secular with mostly muslim population. However, those comments reveal what those people actually want to say.
