I'm glad you added Snaxton, I've been lazy with updating character mods, so Meat Fortress Fredd has gotten long in the tooth. Guess it may be time for me to get back to learning modding for this game so I can take ol' Fredd in a different direction.
I don't know if Snaxton will incorporate some of the modded tf2-style weapons into the weapon pool like the ones Storymods makes. If not, if you did that it'd give Fredd even more variety.

Anton, if you’re reading this: 1- Terrific work, this game keeps being my absolute favourite VR experience day after day, year after year. 2- I feel like Meat Fortress could be a very solid base for a similar mode, a casual timed TDM/Domain/Team Elimination or whatever, just with normal guns, something like a casual TDM Call of Duty experience.

Like I know a lot of the guns Anton shows off are 3d modeled by another person. I honestly can't say for certain either way, but I know that at the very least Anton has some help every now and then, and that is enough for me to want to include them in my comment.
Oh my god, Snackston Hale looks so fun already. Can't wait to give it a try. I honestly like that it's so crazy difficult, it's appropriate to tf2 and especially when you're playing as hale himself. I think honestly it'd make sense to even change the standard health for the mode. Small suggestion: I think it'd be a cool detail if the enemies during the hold section were blue (since they are attacking), while the ones during the take section are red (since they are defending).
Another thing that would be fun for meat fortress would be alternative class weapons, such as boxing gloves for heavy, market gardener(or another melee weapon) for soldier, eyelander for demo, more of a stab weapon such as the ubersaw for medic, etc. Of course these wouldn't do anything special, it just would be fun to have in the game.
Honestly, a Demoknight Kit would be amazing, Especially since its basically the only real Subclass in the game. Wouldn't be TOO hard to implement either I think? Just need a Sausage Based Eyelander. As for the Mechanics, When you pull the trigger it gives you a Massive speed boost for 3 or so seconds before needing a cooldown period, and That boost gets faster, Longer, or the cooldown gets lessened the more kills you get with it.
I think the fact that palming rounds has context now for how many is left in the gun + double loading two barrels at the same time is actively my favorite thing that's been added to the game.
Sentries and dispensers on the hold or able to be grabbed from the item spawner could do a lot for the difficulty and variability of this mode! Maybe even teleporters? O.o

Heck yeah MF (DOOM)! The stone thrower reminds me of an old TF2 mod gun called the Patriot. Also, can we get a 20 round mag for the noise maker? It would be a nice in between mag to go with the 10 round mag and the 50 round drum.

You should make Saxons health higher by default, and maybe add a fear interaction when the player melees a Sosig... giving the player a chance to reload, or even chain melees
maybe instead of turning chat on or off, maybe add display options, so it can be where it is now, or above the player, or maybe following the arm around, similar to a certain streamer who plays h3vr :P
What I’m thinking for the take and hold character is instead of using just the 9 mercs in the original game, you have like a basic merc that has like a standard but whacky pistol to start off with, and eventually gets like assault rifles or shotguns, while the holds have one of the 9 mercs as a hold boss like the red lumber jack in zombie hunter zeke For the model I’d do it like the merc from open fortress, or something like it, make it a little more balanced but still on par with the theme I do understand that it would involve more work into this silly little update, but I thought it’d be an interesting thought to throw out there
I was gonna comment the same thing and I agree ten fold. I think a 'generic merc' is needed to be cannon fodder, armed with weaker weapons at the start.

The way you play TnH is... interesting. And I don't mean your weapon skills but your decisions (holding on to your melee weapon, breaking boxes even though you're at full health, dropping the shotgun and not even selling it)

I love the video so far, about 8 minutes in. I kinda wish every gun had irons like the noisemaker. It's the first vz.63-like gun that I saw and thought, Wow! I can use these sights!
32:40 this is an issue all the time. The pin is visibly very clearly pulled all the way out, but the model is still stuck to the grenade so when you throw it, they won't ever go off. idk if there's an easy solution, each grenade would have to be looked at individually and tuned such that once the pin crosses the last pinhole, it kicks itself out and the grenade is forced to be live even if I didn't continue to move my hand another 3 inches.
One of my submitted ones is "Can I trade a killstreak BBoomer for some keys?" and I realized it probably would be better the opposite way around. For people submitting forms: my suggestion is try to come up with acronyms and nicknames for stuff like how TF2 has the cm5k or ambispy.
So excited for the Meat Fortress update! My one point of skepticism comes from the score addition; it's fantastic to finally have a proper goal to work towards in MF, but I think there should still be the option to enable the endless mode. Which is an incredibly insignificant complaint all things considered.

You probably want to do the Valve Special and start the player in Take n' Hold with a melee and a pistol, considering how fast the Meat Fortress bots are, the pistol's stupid high rate of fire would be a good choice for a starter, but it might we worth looking into making a few "low tier" weapons for T&H starters.
Maybe Snaxton Hale could spawn with the stock MF Pistol? And if that's too powerful, maybe introduce a deliberately crappier variant? Something liiiike... *The Desperado:* A pocket-pistol that chambers the same 11mm Mannchevskikovovichidev of the stock pistol but only runs custom tiny magazines that hold a measly 5 shots each (and are shaped in such a way that it won't fit in the stock or Backfielder... not that they could even reach the chamber). Oh, and it's also semi-auto.
I swear we need a Warhammer 40k crossover, I'd love to have a lasgun, bolt pistol, melta, what have you that isn't modded in (because frankly the 40k community and this game's modding community don't overlap all too much). I feel you could take a lot of insperation with a lot of 40k's weapons for anything custom, you can already make a kind of snazz gun in the game rn kinda sorta, but if you could possibly try to make some grimdark things that match the asthetic, it would be amazing. Hell there's plenty of shooters to draw insperation from now with Space Marine 2, Darktide, and just the general art works.
Funnily enough actually, Anton did try to work something out with GW a LONGGG time ago because he was once into 40k a few years ago. But it ended up falling through because he found Games Workshop was frustrating to work with from what I've heard. He was trying to make a 40k themed TNH character
Snaxton should be able to find and shoot down health drones that carry different amounts of health wieners. It would give you some respite, but you'd need the skill to shoot it down.

A meat fortress take and hold character is something I've wanted for ages. Amazing! Sad that I missed the deadline for sosig submissions, but I'll think some up for if there's an extra round.
I Both love, and am mildly concerned about how you said you should make Spies Not show up on the minimap when Cloaked, and immediately find out that is already a thing somehow. I'm going to guess the reason for that happening is simply that the cloak Causes the Minimap to not awknowledge the cloaked spy in the same way it does for enemies.

Perhaps you could start off Snackston Hale off with a muscle meat power up. Capture a bit of how hale is in the tf2 game mode.
the spy cloak could be team colored so its easier to see if they are friend or foe.
Maybe make it so that it's neutrally colored above a certain distance but have the team color fade in as you close in on them.

In the past I was able to run T&H off of a SATA SSD, I7-3770, RX 480 8GB, and 16GB of RAM. Not perfect on my OG rift at the time but doable.

I swear we need a Warhammer 40k crossover, I'd love to have a lasgun, bolt pistol, melta, what have you that isn't modded in (because frankly the 40k community and this game's modding community don't overlap all too much). I feel you could take a lot of insperation with a lot of 40k's weapons for anything custom, you can already make a kind of snazz gun in the game rn kinda sorta, but if you could possibly try to make some grimdark things that match the asthetic, it would be amazing. Hell there's plenty of shooters to draw insperation from now with Space Marine 2, Darktide, and just the general art works.
Funnily enough actually, Anton did try to work something out with GW a LONGGG time ago because he was once into 40k a few years ago. But it ended up falling through because he found Games Workshop was frustrating to work with from what I've heard.

Snaxton should be able to find and shoot down health drones that carry different amounts of health wieners. It would give you some respite, but you'd need the skill to shoot it down.
Would need to drop random power-ups for us 1-hit nutcases. :P

@@blunderingfool well power up drones should be universal. What they should give you on one-hit is more grenades, especially when your terminally adrenaline-addicted and play limited ammo 1-hit

I Both love, and am mildly concerned about how you said you should make Spies Not show up on the minimap when Cloaked, and immediately find out that is already a thing somehow.
I'm going to guess the reason for that happening is simply that the cloak Causes the Minimap to not awknowledge the cloaked spy in the same way it does for enemies.
