    I finally get the audio and video to work with my new dji mic and the insta360 one x2 camera. Join me on a glorious trail run near Neyland in Pembrokeshire as I train for the Thames Path 100K Ultra Marathon in September 2022. I visit Benton Wood, find mysterious rocks, share training tips and update you on my training for the Thames Path Challenge 100K Ultra Marathon in September 2022.

    Beautiful route! I'll definitely have to start using Strava to see some new roads! Good luck on all those long runs! Keep pushing!

      I didn't quite make it to 10 & 25 at the weekend. A combination of heat and local farmers had me short by about 5 miles but looking at my weekly mileage, it probably would have been foolish to do much more! Thanks for watching Paul. Hope your fit & well :)

    You can’t beat hitting the trails in the summer time!
    Although I’ve not listened to any of Billy Yang’s podcasts, I do enjoy his videos. His ‘The Why’ is one of my top favourite ever UA-cam videos. A great influence for me taking on the 100 miles.

      Oh yes I definitely agree regarding his film “the why”. That video introduced me to the world of trail running & ultra running. He’s a very talented guy! His podcasts are all very “long format” so great for my long drives around the country! Thanks for stopping by Rachel 🤗

    Well you are running royalty mate 😄 I was surprised not to see the red carpet tbh! You're right though, I would appreciate a nice clear path if I ever found one!
    I'm the same with not running if I can't see where I'm landing, as that's exactly how I sprained my ankle one time.
    Please tell us more about your hotel discounts lol.

      Thanks for stopping by and having a look Mark. 🤠 I stayed in another hotel the day after this run, and someone came into my room at 12.30am!!! They also took the access card so I couldn’t turn the lights on or have any electricity 😳 The receptionist told me in the morning it was one of her colleagues and he should have gone into the room next door 🚪 Needless to say I wasn’t too impressed!

    A lovely part of the country but your right, it takes forever to get there! Nice little mini Stonehenge there 👍 Good idea with swiping those long runs round & the hotel looked lush 👌

      Yes it was quite a shock seeing those stones. Looking back through my footage, not sure why I was convinced it was fake! Must be my cynical old age! Yes I will certainly be back at that hotel for sure. Its old inside but a real hidden gem down there! Thanks for taking a look Martin :)

    It is amazing how green it is in that area in the Summer time. Nice place to run

      Hey Richard! Yes it doesn’t look like that in my back yard but yes, there are areas like South Wales that do stay lovely and green like that. Pembrokeshire is a beautiful part of the UK, and the coastal path is stunning. Do a Google search and you will see what I mean. Thanks for stopping by Burpee king! :)

    Thanks for the tip about Strava maps. We didn't know about the routes. We'll definitely be using this now. 👍

      Your welcome. I did edit out a lot more detail of the strava maps feature as I didn’t explain it very well. It also gives you choices of distance of runs and what terrain they are on (dirt, road or any). When I “save” a route, mine automatically gets added to my Corus maps apps on my phone and then I sync that onto my watch to follow on the run. Get in touch if you need any help ok? Thanks for watching guys.

    I think you're right about Mark enjoying the sight of those trimmed bushes 🤣👍 I also always say Onwards too 🤣 The new mic sounds quality. Very clear! The Neolithic stone pile looked very similar to the pace where the Omen finished.👌 Great run Phil! 😎🤘

    That's a great way to use Strava to explore new routes. Stunning run Phil. Definitely think Mark will be envious of those nicely cleared trails and the lack of need for a machete 😀

    • @trailrunningphil
      @trailrunningphil  2 роки тому +1

      Yes it works really well with the Corus App too Ben. When you click on "save" on Strava, it automatically gets added to your Navigation routes library. It takes a few minutes though so don't expect it to be instant! Its then easy to sync that route with your watch and your off and out the door! I find it quite exciting running in places I have NEVER been before and I wouldn't be able to do it safely without this feature on Strava. Perhaps I should a video about it!? :) Thanks for watching mate. Hope your fit and well.

      @@trailrunningphil That would be good. I'll check that out on the Coros app and see how it works. Always nice to try out some new routes and mix it up a bit

    First I’ve heard about the Strava maps function! There’s a couple of routes that start in parks near me, I’ll check them out 👍
    Wow double run weekends and the shortest one is 10 miles 😳 blimey hardcore training. Looking good mate, and running in some wonderful places too look forward to seeing more of it and you’re main event too 👍

    • @trailrunningphil
      @trailrunningphil  2 роки тому +1

      Yes its great. Use it all the time in my travels around the country. I didnt explain it very clearly and so perhaps I should do a video about it?! You also get to choose the distance you want to run, and the terrain you want to run on too. It can either work from your "current location" or from a location start point that you choose. The tricky part is moving it off your phone and onto your navigation watch but I guess you could follow the route on your phone but that means looking at your phone all the time! :) Thanks for watching Ash
