I love, love, love this light! I have the Hygger Advanced LED Full-Spectrum Light on ALL six of my tanks! It has soooo many great features, easy control & program, and Full-spectrum for plants. Though I utilize most every option from time to time, my ABSOLUTE fav is the 24/7 lighting cycle. Dawn-to-Dusk... life is good 😁
Dude this is such a great video. I was wondering if the timer mode would just stay a constant brightness level after ramping up. Right then you mention even the timer mode can have brightness stages. Subbed.
If you're looking for someone to kill crypts I'm your guy! For what ever reason they just don't like me lmao. They just disappear. Except for when I use this light not sure why
If I may add, crypts and amazon swords are the only plants that are thriving in my aquariums right now 😂. My java fern and anubias are just looking rough with yellow leaves and holes in them. Plus those damn dwarf sag (which are my favourite for their carpeting look) just melts on mine like butter haha. Hopefully this light can change that tho. Cheers.
Great video and light. It works well on my tank and my plants do well. It's a great entry-level light but does work for any type of fish keeper. Thanks for the info.
So my question is on the 24/7 Mode I'm noticing some algea. Is it too intense to run for that many hours? Or would the timer mode be better for those who battle algea?
@Lefty3213a tank has been set up for 6 months. I add thrive liquid fertilizer twice a week. Thrive root tabs once. Tank size : 55 gal. 6 guppies. 8 amano shrimp. 1 adrican dwarf frog.
Only thing I don't like about it is having blue light on all night in 24 hour mode, bad for algae growth. I'd also want it to ramp up from 6am to 10pm.
@@gardian1701 I was worried about the same thing when I got this. I watched it go through the cycle and it does eventually turn off, and I want to say the orange morning sunlights turn on around 5 or 6am? So theres roughly 7hrs of darkness
Hi, thanks for the review. Q: Does this blue moon light is on for very long time like all night? (In 24h mode) or does it fades out to complete darkness after some time?
It is on for about the last 90 minutes and then fades to darkness for night. Same with the sunrise. It starts 90 mins before with orange and slowly brightens to 100%
does it just continuously blink when using the 24/7 or timer? I have found that it does which is kinda dumb. Should be solid instead of continuously blinking
What do you mean by continously blink? The light itself or the remote/button? I know the remote will blink when it's in stand by mode. Which I'm guessing is just to let people know the light is "on"even if it's off
I was also wondering if I had it set right. Push power, push 24/7 button, and then pick time, the first choice is 8 a.m. though, assuming I waited until 8 a.m. that would be fine. But it check kept blinking so idk if I'm supposed to push something else or not. Also, for a time that starts at 6 a.m wouldn't it be easier to put the first time option at 6 a.m. instead of 8? Or am I missing something..I have been online for hours trying to figure this out, I know this isn't a fresh post, but praying you can help, love how detailed your video was!
Define deep? I mean the light itself is pretty powerful like it can cut through tannins in the water and through floaters. Biggest I have it on is a 40gal, but I know someone that put these on a 120
If you use it on an external timer, it will not remember any mode you used, it will default back to the main mode. You have to use the built in timer for it to work properly.

Thanks for the kind words. Yes if you are using it on the 6 8 or 12 hour setting you are able to set a brightness level.
Had to kinda smile when you said grow plants you haven't been able to like crypts. Thats all i have ever had grow well for me haha.

@@Lefty3213a hey man its funny. I cannot get amazon swords to grow to save me hahaha. Its a strange hobby sometimes

Great Video and Explanation! Thank You !
Thanks you. Glad you think so
Great description Thank you.! You're like the only video on this model that I could find.
Glad to hear you liked the video :) and only one :O well that's good to know haha explain why people keep watching it

Thanks Rob :D hope you're doing well. Haven't seen you around chats latley.
@Lefty3213a Have had some issues, and I will slowly get back to some form of normal.
@DeFreeseAquariums say no more! I fully understand the need to unplug and step back. I hope things get better for you

How long have you had the tank set up?
Do you add liquid fert?
Do you add root tabs?
What kinds fish you got in there and how many?

The blue light for the moon period does shut off. I want to say around 11pm
@@Lefty3213a Oh that's ok then! Lol. I had a cheaper light once that didn't, think the fish never slept properly! Might grab myself one of these!

@@Lefty3213a yeah, the remote just continues to blink rather than going to a solid light mode. Hate that. It's annoying

Is it possible to adjust the brightness to 50% for the 24/7 mode? or brightness setting is only for Timer mode.
The light should keep the settings you put. So once it's on when you set the % it should stay there.
No, in 24/7 mode, it reverts to full brightness
how would it be for a deep tank
Define deep? I mean the light itself is pretty powerful like it can cut through tannins in the water and through floaters. Biggest I have it on is a 40gal, but I know someone that put these on a 120
Hey can I use it with a separate timer or only with this controller?
I have not tried this particular light on a seperate timer. I will test it for you and get back to ya

Thumbs up for lapras!
