I think hey bind like that cuz they're not made for each sword. My unokubi was just like that. Took about a week to cut through it and stop the binding...

Two very beautiful swords 😊👍 I think they both have something special and they one with tanto tsuba also looks cool even if it is not practical. So now you are probably playing samurai all day long 😁👍

But these two took 3 to 4 months because I ordered them right before the Chinese new year (China takes 22 days off for this) and then they shut down country for virus. nice blade, the ito has me worried though. not sure if its just poor lighting but it kinda just looks like cheap cotton, like shoelaces. Hate to spend $400 and not atleast get decent psuedo silk lol
Thanks it is pretty nice for the price, imo. Good eye too! Cause the ito is not the color or the texture of the pic on their website. But it is a thicker cotton and wrapped very tight. So that's good. Other than that, the blade is sound.
Yeah I was pretty happy. I had to wait extra long cause I ordered them right before the chinese new year. And china shut down their economy because of covid then the U.S. stopped most of incoming trade from them. Did you like your St. Nihonto?
@@Katana-Karl I ordered it yesterday... I wish I got it that fast! I have a custom SinoSword, and now a St. Nihonto ordered, so by March 2021 I should have them. Chinese New Year is Feb 12, 2021. :) Happy New year!
How many swords do you have now? I have 10. I’m thinking I might buy 1 more with the stimulus but if they give us $2,000 ($1,400 more) then I might throw that statement out the window. I think you have more than that in just Jkoo swords. ;)
Dang Jkoo does good work for the price, nice tsuka wrapping on both. Got a 31" custom 9260 O-katana coming from them sometime in June, this sure does make the wait harder hahaha.

Guess there really is a lot to be saved by buying direct from manufacturer instead of through a store. No beautiful hamon but that is the price paid for through hardening. Jkoo seems to get really pretty ones brought out in their T10 blades.

No this blade was the normal width. Might just be my camera making it appear wider than it actually is
