2:50 dthrow to fair can be at times incredibly inconsistent because characters can fall out of the multihit (similar to upsmash) which is why the BnB is dthrow nair. 4:10 Samus online may be considered a zone character but watch any top level Samus like YB, Joker and Quik. They bring the fight with Samus and get up in your face while forcing the enemy to condition and constantly mix up their game plan. 6:20 this hasn't been a thing since the projectile nerf. 7:15 ledge trapping with morphball has better and more consistent confirms with upsmash and dash attack. 7:45 if they wait for the morphball to explode and lose ledge invincibility you challenge with dtilt. 8:40 why even bring up breversing like that when you could have made one of your tips about utilizing breversing as a movement option and the reason why good Samus players never have a full charge. 9:25 tip five should have been just an overall "mix up your recovery options" instead of "use morphball to stall recovery". Samus has so many different ways to recover that each option has its own benefits, and to even further elaborate that Samus is a very good reverse edge guarder. Five tips with nothing about different level charge shots being the core foundation of Samus gameplay. Five tips would be: 1. Breversing as one of Samus core movement options. 2. Utilizing the different types of charge shot and the follow ups and why holding charge shot isn't a good option. 3. Conditioning your opponent by mixing up your playstyle. 4. Utilizing different recovery options. 5. Different options of ledge trapping and edge guarding.
10/10 content! I've been looking into picking up Dark Samus recently. Saw a lot of potential, and my gang has been bullying me in our local games. LOL. Thanks for the good content!
6:20 not true anymore like for a while since back when the patch that nerfd all projectiles. The only way it'll work is if the opp shield isn't full. This trick doesn't work on full shields anymore and that's what I'm addressing.
Although my experience with her is limited, I think falling up-air may be one of the best moves she has. It easily sets up for a kill with up smash at pretty much any percent (just make sure you're facing them), can be combo'd into up b, up tilt, n-air, f-air or another up-air (maybe even charge shot). It also immediately gives you stage control as the opponent needs to react if they don't want to get hit by something else. Then, if they air dodge expecting an attack, you can punish the landing. Try it out.
Some of the mentioned things mentioned do not work like the super missile charge shot shield break. Samus is good at ledge trapping but the one option will not work most of the time. You have to adapt to the current situation and use the great tools for ledge guarding in many different ways. Probably the most important thing wrong with this is that fully charged charge shot should almost never be used. It works occasionally for certain situations but when it is fully charged the move is extremely laggy and you can never play off of the shot or you can be punished for it's use. Additionally having one at about 90% charged dose not do that much less damage than when it is full and it strings into other moves like grab dash attack and fir really well. even small charge shots are really good at just stunning your opponent so you can get a true grab or dash attack of of it which are really good kill confirms with a character that struggles with killing.
If u really want to mess with ur opponents head, play aggressive Samus, no projectiles. I've had so many ppl quit the match when I do that bc they want to counter missiles and charge shots. I just dash attack into upair or up tilt downair etc
Please. I 100% agree. Hes my main puppers. 😇 I love his game play so much. I need more knowledge and I love how he breaks everything down and tells you everything good or bad!
Samus can go under the stage in Smashville and Town&City. You tether grab but let yourself swing and carry the momentum into morph bombs. then you use your jump and up special and youre good. On PS2, she can use morph bomb to float horizontally without burning a jump and can wall jump off the center under the stage
For Samus? They'll see (Samus Mains) this video and go back to shooting missiles, charge shots and once you jump, Fair... Rinse and repeat, oh! And don't forget to run away and do the same from each side, drop some bombs on the way too! 😂 Nah, but beside the toxic spammers and players, there are some really cool Samus, nice vid.
Why is it that down throw to up air is so overrated? It easily adds on another up air 80% of the time, and if done correctly, you can get 4 or 5 up air laddered on battlefield. And if you have any trouble with inputs, make sure R/C stick is on either smash attacks or tilts. You also can easily short hop air if L stick jumping at about the same time as it. Then you can jump around in any direction you want whilst keeping your hand on R/C stick, allowing for up air into fair or back air.
One of my favorite things to do is condition them to jump over a charge shot from ledge for the first couple of stocks then jump with them and snipe them to win the game
Down smash can hit them if they are hanging on the ledge n not invisible, also don’t charge your shot all the way, it’s slower to come out n doesn’t do so much more damage. You can also down tilt to up smash.
Forward air is a great comboing attack, but I noticed how you haven't said much about up air. I personally take up air instead because it hits almost just as far forward and forward air, but it also attacks more upward. It works really well against my brother, more so than forward air does.
instead, you can "read" if your opponent will shield the super missile, and a soon as it explodes you can shoot another, this can break shields too (ar at the least work as shield pressure) and you don't have to waste your charge shot
I'm a beginner, any time I jump forward, how the hell do I turn around and shoot backwards? Missiles will turn me around. But don't know how to reverse blaster shoot...
I really wouldn't recommend the Switch as handheld, gamecube controller or pro controller is best. However if you want to learn it with the Switch console, check this out ua-cam.com/video/L30sLmV3Dps/v-deo.html
I know its gonna sound dumb but what buttons to you press like I know those but I press the jump button but she goes to high up and will completely miss
As a Samus main: - I thank you for this video - it bothers me that your thumbnail shows MPrime Samus, when Ultimate uses her OtherM design (no hard feelings though) - the MPrime music in the background pleases me - I unfortunately couldn't take too much out of this video, except for the b-reverse charge shot GJ :)
The hard thing about this is that I can't practice because I do not own a switch. The only times I can play is at my friend's places so practicing is not really something I can do. so that sucks but hey maybe I'll be able to pull it off first try :/
Super missile is not super good. Pretty much any situation you'd think to use one, a small charge shot is better. I only use super missiles as a mix-up
you can also use down throw dash in up air up air up b which does a ridiculous amount of damage in exchange for ending closer to neutral. This can work past 0% on some heavier or bigger body characters.
this is clearly a click bait video due to the samus buffs and the hype brought about by them. all this information can be clearly found by looking up pro players and watching them even before the patch came out., learning from their matches. also during this video, you try to demonstrate "combos" yet drop them quite frequently despite trying to showcase what your saying. it shows you dont play the character. fianlly there is misinformation as some others have commented such as the missile into charge shot shield break. that is ineffective except on previously damaged shields. bomb into charge shot still does a better time breaking shields. This is all just my thoughts on this however, so oh well.

Normal people: Who bothers to watch a Samus video at 5 in the morning?
Me: *OH BOY, 5AM!*
Yes. Lol
4:18 am reporting
4:22 am, close enough
3:55am
Literally 5:18am lol

The b reverse CS ledge trap is a neat idea
Pure evil
Yea I liked that too I'm gonna do that haha
Samus has some pretty cool custom combos, maybe not all true combos, but I still think dragdown fair into whatever you want is very slept on.

Rico Fly I was just about to say that in the beginning of this game everything broke shields now only Byleth does
Dang it! why...
Yeah, time for more morphbomb /jab/fullcharge combos for shieldbreaker.

Releasing this right as Samus gets buffed, I see...
Missile + charge shot does NOT break full shields... They nerfed that a while back
not to mention a lot of character shields are better now
That is really bad. It was actual cool. Something you can pressure bu samus.
Good that was dumb
100k dude. Congrats on the growth.
8:39 omg that’s genius!
Whoa these are all good tips, thank you, as a Samus I need to get better with Samus and become stronger!

Her bombs can be used for more than ledge trapping and recovery. They are very versatile in many circumstances.

Was thinking of experimenting with Samus before clicking this but now I gotta play Metroid Prime again
Not complaining
One of my favorite things to do is condition them to jump over a charge shot from ledge for the first couple of stocks then jump with them and snipe them to win the game
I thought this was gonna be a video on how to beat samus, I was terribly wrong but now I have a new secondary
loved! thought you would not do this video because is not a very popular player. Thanks!!!
As a Spamus main I appreciate you
Down smash can hit them if they are hanging on the ledge n not invisible, also don’t charge your shot all the way, it’s slower to come out n doesn’t do so much more damage. You can also down tilt to up smash.
Holup! 8:40. I can't reverse shoot my charge beam. How do you turn mid air and fire your charge beam?? Because if I try that it fires a missle🤷🏻
I believe you have to flick the stick immediately after pressing b. It sounds like you're flicking too early.
What kind of tips do you have for getting out of disadvantage with her? That’s my biggest struggle against aggressive characters/play styles.
Reverse b, b reverse and wave bounce are her best tools to get out of disadvantage
How were you able to change directions at 9:08? I either dont turn and blast, or shoot a missile instead.
B first, then opposite direction on the joystick
"A Smash Ultimate Competitive Tutorial and Breakdown on Ike."
That's a weird looking Ike you got there.
Also samus main here. Would love to echo fight sometime and learn!

Missile to charge shot shield break hasn't worked for several patches now
DeWayne SuPaMaN8304 Scott Dont remind me😪
instead, you can "read" if your opponent will shield the super missile, and a soon as it explodes you can shoot another, this can break shields too (ar at the least work as shield pressure) and you don't have to waste your charge shot
Did you record this before or after 7.0.0?cause samus got buffed
Probably
yeah unfortunately lol
I'm curious to see what snake tricks you have up your sleeve.
"hopefully you find this *Ike* tutorial infromative"
dude since when does samus look like Ike?
Lol, I was searching for this comment. I assume that he copied and pasted the description from another video in this series.
@@yowza9638 yeah probably
I'm a beginner, any time I jump forward, how the hell do I turn around and shoot backwards? Missiles will turn me around. But don't know how to reverse blaster shoot...
Click b, and immediately click the other direction
Do a Lucario vid next; his aura is such a cool mechanic.
How can I short hop reliably every time? Using the switch console handheld not gamecube control.
I really wouldn't recommend the Switch as handheld, gamecube controller or pro controller is best. However if you want to learn it with the Switch console, check this out ua-cam.com/video/L30sLmV3Dps/v-deo.html
Can you plz do mega man or meta knight next
5 tips to win as snake!!😀
Hey i can't seem to relyingly use down throw up air up air up b at 0%
how do you shoot out your grapple beam without grabbing them and hitting them instead?
Make sure you are in the air, as you press grab/Z
I know its gonna sound dumb but what buttons to you press like I know those but I press the jump button but she goes to high up and will completely miss
This video will set you in the right direction!

What to people do to get the Samus double jump kinda thing to recover?
they use down and b. so that the bomb gives an extra stall jump offstage.

Please, 5 tips to win as a Ike Main
What about the post 7.0 buffs?
I want to see a Byleth video
Coool
Just playing Samus gives you 80% people will be killing themselves and giving you the win.
Do DK next since you keep beating him up lol
down throw up smash is pretty good at 0% and it leads into juggle situations
you can also use down throw dash in up air up air up b which does a ridiculous amount of damage in exchange for ending closer to neutral. This can work past 0% on some heavier or bigger body characters.
Please do inkling!!!
My ZSS needs some help, any tips?
StawbsOrio makes the best ZSS tutorials on UA-cam. He has a 20 minute video on just her down b.
@@austininflorida I checked those out earlier today
Half of what I do with Samus is shoot at them and forward air their jump
Says Ike in the description.
I just fixed it! TY for letting me know :)
Do ROB next.
