    Question: Have you ever experienced overheating with the A7iii? Your videos and channel have been a huge help to me choosing equipment. You’re my go-to channel for this type of stuff. The time you put in to your videos does not go unnoticed!
    I truly appreciate it and please let me know if overheating is something you’ve experienced. Thanks!

    I absolutely love what Panasonic is doing for their customers so if I had to get a camera, they have earned my loyalty. That's not talking anything away from Sony, quiescently, Panasonic makes better cameras for my needs.

    An excellent comparison sir! As a landscape and product photographer, I was impressed by the image sharpess of the S1 (with Lumix 24-105 f/4) as shown in the dpreview image comparometer, as well as the ergonomics and build quality (size/weight aside), so I'm leaning towards the S1 kit. My question, regarding the comments about focus issues with the S1 and the Lumix S Pro 70-200 f/4, has the focus issue been resolved, since those comments are a year old? Thank you once again!

  • @raksh9
    @raksh9 4 роки тому

    Have I commented about this before? I feel torn between the S1 and A7 III. I have numerous Panasonic cameras like the GH4 and G9, I love the menu system and ergonomics, and the video quality and functions are amazing. But the A7 III is lighter, smaller, has two SDXC card slots as opposed to one expensive XQD (which might as well be pointless) plus one SDXC, and most importantly, has much better tracking autofocus for still images. There are more and more opportunities for me to shoot sports action, and the A7 III seems more suited than the S1. I find I'm looking for an all in one hybrid with increasing importance for sports action, compared with the more slow, studied work I've done until the last six months. But the video quality of the S1 and other Panasonics is still very important to me. Ugh.

    • @TheHybridShooter
      @TheHybridShooter  4 роки тому

      If you want to shoot sports / action Sony A7 III is much better choice than S1. Video quality is also about the same, S1 just gives your more options for color grading.

      This comment is funny because it applies to both the cameras:
      If, like myself, one has ART lenses to adapt or plans upon using bright lenses then the A7iii's form will impede the operation. Yet, if one is seeking a single all round machine for lightwork and less frequent use of bright or exotic lenses then the S1 may seem unecessarily large.

    • @weplaywax
      @weplaywax 5 років тому +1

      It's actually more complex than that since DFD is a Panasonic proprietary technology and it's not JUST contrast detection. DFD is great for stills, but not that great for video, which is not what this camera is designed for. And unless you are in a very narrow niche of super fast action photography, you won't notice the minuscule difference between DFD and PD. And if you were in that niche, you wouldn't be looking at this camera in the first place :)

    I'm trying to decide between the two and this is very helpful. However, perhaps you aren't aware but the A7III does appear to have a defect with the audio-in port breaking. Lot of youtubers and people on FB groups reporting this, beyond just coincidence or user error.

    • @TheHybridShooter
      @TheHybridShooter  4 роки тому

      That is not specific to A7 III, basically all Canon cameras have huge problems with that, other brands as well. 3.5mm just isn't professional grade connector. That is why XLR input is one of the main things separating professional production cameras and mirrorless cameras.

    • @LeeMarks
      @LeeMarks 4 роки тому

      @@TheHybridShooter To say that a port should be expected to commonly break because it's a mirror-less camera can't be true. For general use 8bit is fine for many people. There are Plenty of tests comparing 8bit to 10mbit on UA-cam and in my own testing it’s great to see 10 bit but not a necessity all the time.
