Some fantastic tips that a lot of tutorials miss or overlook as it eventually comes naturally but you went really in depth to really help newer people out
Really great tips! One thing I would recommend to everyone would be to use less blue tac. It can break the illusion of the animation, and my family always pointed it out when they saw it.
I’ve been practicing fight scenes since the start so I’ve gotten good like you :) It’s great seeing how you do your fight scenes, as they are a different style than mine! Pretty awesome tutorial to, you covered various important aspects
I'm brand new to trying to do stop motion as a hobby, because it's so fun. This was really helpful and gives a lot of ideas on how to get more realistic motion.
This one makes your guns look a bit more cool. If you have a black gun let's say an ar. Grab a black hand and attach it so that the minifigure can reach is so basically next to his right hand(of he's holding it in his left hand) this acts and a foregrip and looks pretty cool.
Thanks for this! I have already started recently applying a little easing in and out, camera movement, and minifig movement to my fight scenes so i'm now gonna add practical effects too, thanks again!
This is really helpful I’m filming my first fight scene for the finale of my Lego Doctor Who series tomorrow and these tips are definitely gonna help thank you
A tip I have for camera movement: back when I used my phone for shooting brickfilms, instead of having a whole camera stand built up, I'd just put a lil stack of bricks behind the phone and place some sticky tac on the bottom of it. That way you can easily get both little and big moves and the phone doesn't get bumped as easily. And the camera is down a bit lower so it looks more eye-level. So ye, great tutorial my guy!
@@ErikTongStudios yeah I get that. Ig the real tip is to not feel like you have to do the same thing every time lol. You'll have the best results if you get original and creative with it
In the process of a Lego film. But my next Lego film I want to do something different with two guys fighting. Found your video and it was very helpful. Definitely going to use these tips. Thank you!
that was awesome and I learned a lot. just discovered your channel and I'm definitely gonna watch more of your vids. you really helped me with my camera movement. :)
Have to do a stop motion project for school. Your videos have really helped. Thanks! Also really cool to see your progress when you showed some of your first fight scenes vs. the newer ones. Nice
Great tutorial! I definitely think wearing in and out and Camara movements are super important! Good use of clips and different media. I do think LEGO is not as good as mega construx in terms of having the range to animate with. Although that makes it harder but allows for better animation. Nice work
wow really great detailed tutorial, ive been doing fight scenes for a while but even these tips can help me, i usually have been doing hard cuts or just plain camera movements but the soft cut part was really cool cuz i dont usually use them, ive also been wondering about your blood effect cuz normally people will use paint or things that ruin legos and im not into that, so im glad you showed me that, one q tho: is the blood putty sticky or oily?
What kind of clay do you use for moving the LEGO minifigures arms/legs? ATM the I use loctite blue tack. It’s useful, but a little too strong, so I’m looking for something softer like clay for more maneuverable events.
This is a great tutorial; the things aren’t to hard to do or obtain items for and you actually show us what lights or blood you use. Keep up the great work man. 👌
Great tutorial, but a suggestion I have is to make the clay less visible, because sometimes you use a lot and you can see it, which looks not so good. Other than, that, great tutorial! Thanks!

Really great tips! One thing I would recommend to everyone would be to use less blue tac. It can break the illusion of the animation, and my family always pointed it out when they saw it.
thanks man and yeah that's a good point I think it defo looks better if you can hide it
@@Netbrix You can it in post but it's tricky and takes bloody ages
@@BossKingLegoProductions Yeah, which is why, for now, im not focusing too much on the blue tac's visibility
I use sticky tack, but I use enough where it sticks but less where you can hide it.
