Mate, you just saved me. First time doing trailer brakes and I didn't realise that the screw needed adjusting on the pull brake. I was pulling my hair out as to why they wouldn't work properly! Thanks a tonne, working beautifully now.
Thanks for that, my tomorrow job! on a heavy borrowed trailer that I want to get back in better condition than I got it. Just wish I could of seen the brake bleeder.
Great vid mate. What happens if it the other way ? The handbrake wont move at all and cant apply the brake manually to stop the van moving. Can only get to the first notch.
Hi mate. Great vid!! Quick question if you don't mind :) My hand brake wont actually move at all. Any ideas on what the issue might be or what to do? Cheers
Just picked up a brand new trailer and guess what.. NO Brakes on the way home... Adjustment screw hadn't been adjusted against the sliding rod in the coupling so the brakes actually activated. Simple video just to confirm what I thought was wrong.
@@oneupthesleevecustomsautom2195 I did, but it had a leak from next to the flared fitting , someone had bent or moved the hard line too much... I was helping a mate, he is going to find someone who can fix that. Won't be me. Cheers
Thats nice to know i am finishing off a car trailer that my grandfather started and i has no springs i was wondering if they can be registered with no springs
I've got no brakes on my trailer and no sealing on the master cylinder. Wonder if i need to replace.. Ive got a video.. Could i send it to your email? Cheers
Grouse! 5 years later and this vid is still helping. Cheers mate

Great video mate, helped out a lot 👍
Any reason why the pump arm wouldn't be returning on its own?
Yeah if there is no back pressure in the system as in the fluid is going somewhere.
Pump then slowly return by hand see if you can spot a leak

Hydraulic leaks suck
It looks like that car trailer does not have any springs under it?? How does it tow with no suspension
Empty they bounce around a bit, full you would never use a sprung one again. So stable and smooth no swaying even with 4x4s on there
Thats nice to know i am finishing off a car trailer that my grandfather started and i has no springs i was wondering if they can be registered with no springs
Yeah I believe so here in Tasmania anyways
If you do go springs go a rocker set up not a slipper one
No worries thanks for that
