Forgot to point it out in the video, but the Jazz 16 is actually SB16 compatible. Not sure why I thought it wasn't... you'd think the fact that it has 16 in it's name would make it kinda obvious that it's supported. I was probably getting it confused with some other card.
"It's just fun". Yup, that sums up the same reason why I have built more than one Windows 98 machine. Just playing old games on it is fun, but building another similiar computer, setting it up and testing it is even more fun.
hi . nice vid ... its probably low on "conventional memory" not "total " memory . you need to optimise the driver & load " D.O.S." etc into "high memory " ... try running (memmaker) if it came with your version of "D.O.S." to optimise your autoexec.bat & config.sys files to get as much RAM free as you can .... Hope this helps....
Hi! Has the CMOS battery held up even if disconnected from mains? I've been wrestling with my own 386 system, and I just can't seem to get the CMOS battery working, neither with a drop in barrel battery replacement nor via the external battery header. Btw, at least on my board, there's a jumper to choose between 3.6V and 6.0V external battery voltage. I've been trying to run with the 6.0V option having a 4x AA holder.

32 megs of ram will work for that period of gaming. Yes I am older and bought these new.
