My P4 box is a "why would you spend money on that" ~2007ish P4 670, 2GBs DDR2 667, ATI 2600XT 512mb. With an Asus board that uses an SiS 656 chipset. I love it for no particular reason.
Psu prices for sure gotten crazy right now no joke i recently got evga 700w gd for one my builds off amazon i about crap see what evga prices for that model cost on there site. I feel u on that psu topic.
Got a p4 650 oced to 4.3 ghz for win 98 se gaming together with a fx 5950 ultra on a asus p5p800. Its pretty decent for win 98 and early xp. Also if you install win 10 on a different pc the p4 will run the 32 bit version making it a perfect retro pc for me as i can just use win 10, with more ram added, for downloading files to the system. Everything from before the cpu came on the market runs pretty well.
When i saw the back of that Alienware laptop i thought it was a Clevo. I have a Clevo laptop that runs a socket 478 destkop 2.6ghz Pentium 4 and the bottom looks almost identical, same fan grills and everything and the latches that lock the lid and the layout of the ports on the back look identical to my Clevo aswell. Your Alienware laptop is from the period when Alienware was not bought off by Dell so it looks like Clevo built it for them. Those require pretty powerful bricks compared to regular laptops, mine uses a 120w adapter
Any chance you could tell me the model number of the power brick? I doubt mine works, but maybe if I come across a compatible adapter for cheap I might give it a shot.
@@NTGTechnology It's a Delta ADP-90SB BB it's got 19V 5A. Mine has the regular barrel connector that works on almost any laptop that has non-proprietary charging port. Still, take a look on the back of your laptop and the sticker should tell you how many volts and amps it requires to run an try to find an adapter that can output that power. Also it can power on with a regular 60w charger that is common with most laptops - it won't be able to boot into Windows till it shuts off due to insufficient power, but it's enough to get into the bios and see if it works
i had one of those (im pretty sure the original as it was under aspire) cases back in the day i do wanna find another so i can rebuild my first pc. i got rid of it because the front io got damaged
Hey at least you don't have a weird fixation with Northwood-128 Celerons, if you find cheap P4 you can have a couple for each generation of nVidia/ATI graphic cards!
I have a few of the Northwood Celerons, and I can say with confidence that I’ll probably never use them. Both because they just suck and I already have a ton of 478 P4s.
For 2004 slap A Desktop Cpu On Laptop Is weird Tech But Now Days As Not Important Thing Yes Alienware(dell Alienware) Still Slaping Desktop CPU On Own Laptops Also Eurora (laptop Makers With Carbon Fiber) Also Slaping A pc CPU On their Laptops

I remember seeing Apevia in the budget case lists on Newegg back in the day. They all looked like they were designed in the mid 2000s.
11+ Pentium 4 systems? Challenge accepted :D
Also, LGA 775 is the best platform in history, you should have fun with it!
Best platform in history, I 100% agree.
I love P4s for Win98 machines, I got one with a universal agp slot and have a voodoo 3 3000 in it that I love for Win98 gaming
26:05 - I really feel that THG VIdeos vibe, so where your phase stage cooling setup or LN2 for extreme overclocking? haha :D
Maybe one day.
