Almost scrapyard wars guys! My favorite LTT videos!
Yeah. scrapyard wars in their own backyard.
If you didn't already know, they have mentioned on the wan show a few times that they have an idea for a new scrapyard wars and are planning on making another one.
scrap pile wars
a scrapyard does not have 2 3080s
😢
I love the "Slow Down, Kids At Play" sign prominently displayed over the filming area. Props to whoever did that.

Can we take a moment to appreciate the editor's *flawless* transition between scenes at 5:50
Good lord, I didn't even notice the first time. That was one sick transition.
Very cool!
yeah that wipe was so clean
Oh wow, yeah that's s great one!
Wow. Didn't notice, which makes it great
Linus figured out how to reboot scrap yard wars without calling it scrap yard wars.
tax write-off wars
The number of “monitors” Linus goes through is actually hilarious
i mean, if he didn't do that, he would be playing crysis in his mind 😂
I noticed at 3:01 when it shows his pick it's just like "iMac?" lmao
As soon as he picked up the iMac I was thinking, it looks too new to be one of the models that lets you use it as a monitor (which admittedly is annoying, they should all have that feature).
@@josephpeters2619 There were a few models that looked like that that supported TDM. Once the retina 5K iMac was introduced they no longer supported TDM, but the 5K used the same chassis as some earlier iMacs that did.
imac has display DP IN mode staring with some generation afaik. So he could stay with it theoretically.
The "WHAT" in unison at 17:41 was hilarious. I never knew a single word could express so much disbelief. 🤣
I WAS LOOKING FOR THIS
You clearly have not seen to door monster WHAT skit.
That was the goofiest sound I have heard lmao
@@fluffyjelloyeah it was cartoonishly perfect
More of Jordan please, very enjoyable to watch.
Great vibes
Omg linus, i started watching you back when i went to high school (10-12 years ago). I was HOOKED on scrapyard wars. This reminds me of those. Its not just the great content, its your personality which really is just a breath of fresh air today. I started a job in IT 1 year ago because you got me into this. Thank you.
Would be really fun to have a checkup on the owner later, see how he fared after that clear out.
Probably filled his shop with more niche stuff he can’t unload
@@jeffreyweng9326exactly what i was thinking lol
@@sourcandy69 that guy now has enough money to change his business into something else entirely. A rare chance at a fresh start. Or sell his shop now that he’s gotten his money’s worth and retire.
Definitely. I´d love a followup on what updates he´s done on the hardware galore.
yes
Giving scrapyard wars vibes and I'm very happy about it. Please do 1 last scrap yard wars series
They confirmed on WAN show a while back that they're doing another, iirc.
@@Krutoniumoh really? I haven’t listened to WAN show in a minute but I remember one a few years ago where linus said that they wouldn’t do another one A. Because he’s to recognizable and he didn’t want “discounts” because of that and B. Because their really aren’t any good options for cheap computer parts at this point, everything is extremely expensive and not very good.
@@cardsfan0776secondhand PC parts are much more powerful for the same money than a few years ago. I just picked up a 1070Ti for £100.
@@cardsfan0776 The market crashed and they said they'd use secret shoppers so they wouldn't be recognized. It's not a sure thing, but it's back in the running.
@@leetjn5663 oh ok well I’m definitely excited for that! Scrapyard wars is my favorite series they do. I
The Boombox as flair AND sound make it way better than any other one.
Gotta give it to Linus on practicality but Jordan's set up is hilarious and it works too!
Btw that "kids at play" sign is pretty accurate lol
You should compact some of the more recyclable junk into LTT E-Waste screwdrivers.
that would be cool
Make screwdriver handles out of the shredded waste and resin ❤
This is one of the best ideas I have ever heard.
But people need this stuff all the time
Yeah those would cost like $100-200 each, due to the compacting/shredding of the e-waste, and then embedding in resin +machining. Yeah you don't want to pay the cost of that screwdriver.
Jordan is quickly climbing up the popularity charts with his sick burns!
And he knows the right why to wear sandals, No kinda of OSHA up there?
This really makes me miss the old school scrap yard wars they used to do. Those where fun to watch
That was a very enjoyable episode! Great interaction between Jordan and Linus.
Linus' rig wins, but Jordan's set up is mint!
This is one of the best series to come from this channel since Alex & Linus create janky coolers and Secret Shopper. Seriously though, I'm so happy what LMG did for the shop owner, he was such a great vibe throughout the first video and would gladly have more videos featuring this haul of stuff if it meant giving more opportunities to others in the future :)

Is not bad but I feel this has to be their counter of the hate they been getting hahah

Damn I didn't even see that the first go around.
It absolutely was!

So refreshing to see unscripted LTT making a come back... Feels like the good ol' days
Agreed
Agree, I fucking hate over scripted and edited LTT it feels so fake...
It felt like when he built a computer for his son, the running around a warehouse filled with crap.
Seriously, why isn't Jordan in more videos? His sense of humor and banter is great, plus his chill vibe makes you feel like he has been your best friend since you were kids lol.
He must be replacing someone?

Jordan is great he should be featured more

He seems like a cool dude. Would be cool to see him on videos more.

By far one of my favorite videos this year from y’all!
Absolutely adorable little Line 6 practice amp sitting there the whole time. Not one of you thought to use it as flair. And I thought you guys knew quality tech.
yep, i saw that too and got all excited
After walking by that store for years, it's so wild to see all the stuff I expected to wind up at an SOS somewhere actually being put to use in an LTT video.
I snuck out of my Amish cabin to watch this computer video
Thee art SHUNNED
Hope you're doing okay bud.
BUT TODAY WAS THE BARN DANCE! YOU CHOSE THIS OVER THAT?... Respect 🤣

This deserves a like! Lol.
This is a brilliant! love these types of random challenges!
Slight edge IMO to Linus's build, but love the interaction between Jordan and Linus. Fond memories of Scrapyard wars!
These are the most real world setups we'll ever encounter. So much nostalgia
Oh god yes. This is what your average homebrew gamer looks like. It's what was whatever on sale, what he had left, what he upgraded from, and so on. Like I have DDR4 not before I like it, but because the smaller motherboards for my Tower100 case with DDR5 went WAY over budget for me, so I had to reuse half of my old DDR4 with a cheap mobo and ONE DAY I will get a proper DDR5, but for now, I manage "as is".
@@TheWinjin What's wrong with DDR4, I used DDR3 up until mid 2019.
@@stonemanguitars I'm still on DDR3 😂
@@g00nie5 Let me guess you also have a massive case with hundreds of drive bays, the only real gaming chair (Dining room chair) and of course, you connect to your monitor with VGA.
@@g00nie5 Sammeee im running 32gb of 1917hz DDR3 in dual channel with an i5-6600 quad core non k clocked to 5 ghz hooked up to a homemade cooler that has kept it alive for 8 years so far.. an overclocked but not overvolted GTX 1650 with windows 10 pro I also have RGB but.. its one red fan one blue fan and one green fan lmfao! I love my setup even though its old as hell it can still game at 60 fps in any game at my monitors resolution of 1360x768. Linus's videos make me genuinely sad i cant afford the new stuff but i'm thankful i have what i do. I'm fortunate to even have a gaming rig and to not be stuck on console.
Jordan ftw! Dude was pretty chill on camera and could throw some fun shade back at Linus.
Also internal scrapyard wars could be a fun series.
He reminds me of Anthony's earlier vids.
I mean its not really scrapyard wars at that point, but I see what you mean. This video definitely gave off similar vibes, in a good way
Yea Jordan won fair and square without having to replace anything
Linus took a bit of replacement lol(even if some were out of his control)
He gives me the biggest cool dad vibes ever
Honestly, at this point I'm convinced one of the writers has a little course to teach people how to insult Linus correctly from maximum effect on video
I had that exact buzz lightyear figure growing up, sadly it was in a flood when I was a kid, found out when I was 20 my aunt kept it in her basement for almost two decades, fixed it up and lost it in a move but it was a lovely hit of nostalgia to see it here.
such entertaining yet informative content! beyond glad you guys were able to help out that momNpop shop and still come out profitable!
So glad to finally see you guys doing a fun build video. Most of them lately have been so vanilla. Really miss scrapyard wars!
apparently its coming back!
When they bought out the store I thought they were going to do scrap yard wars with the parts.
@@wallrunner87same!! I was wondering how nobody hinted at scrapyard wars lol
this seems like Channel Super fun.
scrapyard wars is coming back! 1:36:00 on the WAN show from 9/15
Man, how cool would it be to have a huge warehouse full of hardware so you can mess around like that?
I have one, and is not so cool because you are always finding something better to put into your rig, but you have no time to put it so you say "next time i rebuild my rig i'll put this on it" and guess what? you dont remember to do it or worst, you cant find the damn thing that you wanted to put in your rig
@@salvadormendoza8535those are true first world problems xD I'd have my warehouse indexed and sorted like crazy just for the sake of it
Start a tech business. I regularly have to dispose of trucks full of old pcs and crap. Seriously, I gave away like 25 computers this year with 8th gen intel cpus.
When I was working at a company building computers (Evesham Micros, they were shit), I wanted to build a spare PC that I could use to browse the internet when I was bored, but I was limited to only the parts that weren't on stock, ie whatever I could find lying around that had been forgotten about. That was a fun day or so, sneaking around when I was supposed to be working.
(More fun than screwing harddrives into sleds for a 32 bay NAS anyway)
@@Kaenguruu He's not in a first world country.
definitely my favorite ltt video, would love to see something like this again.
This was awesome. Should totally turn it into a series.
helping that shop out was really cool of you guys!
a really good way to help someone out and get good content ! you guys should do that more often !
Best series in years! Thank everyone at LTT and all who had a part in this!
I like Linus even more now. The way he helped out these shop owners is amazing!
Id love to see just how many complete PCs you can make out of all that stuff. Maybe build as many as possible, then do a direct performance comparison between them all?
17:39 I love that unison "WHAT?!"
17:44 This "What?!" is brilliant.
I love these challenge videos! We need more!!
I could watch a whole series of these scrap builds! ace
The transition at 5:54 needs to be talked about more
Jordan and Linus are so good together - they need to do more videos for sure.
Oh man I thought Buzz was gonna win for sure but that Rabbit rocking out is a tough choice.
This series really brings back some of the great energy from scrapyard wars
Jordan definitely won.
Haha! This was highly enjoyable! Jordan's pretty good onscreen. Linus unfortunately ran overtime. Jordan is definitely the winner considering that. Without the time, or the multiple monitor switching (which was hilarious,) Linus' setup was superior in my opinion because of the monitor he finally ended up with and the sound. Now, if the boom box Jordan had was in good condition, bruh, he'd of won even with that TV he chose.
Fun video guys!
jordan also had good headphones, which i think i make up for the lackluster boombox.
No stereo though. If he had two boomboxes and used one for each channel then maybe.
I didn’t even know you could use a boombox as speakers like that. Honestly kind of a really cool idea/aesthetic , even if it means quality suffers.
@@Tanner85800 'Aux in' on older gear was a brilliant innovation, lost on many modern devices
@@Tanner85800 Yeah Now I want to look for a vintage boom box and butcher it so I can use it as a decent speaker
This is the original type of content I came to this channel for. Awesome.
I have the Corsair 220T, I love it. Such a nice case, very premium and it's a manageable size
Loved this it was like a mini scrapyard wars. I'm glad some of that stuff got some use and in a great and funny video.
That sponsor spot was hilarious. My Herman Miller Aeron's biggest annoyance is when I lean all the way back, my legs just can't stay in the chair and I end up having to reposition myself
Having sex in a chair sounds dicey; I've never done it that way.
It was a close game but I gotta give it to Linus. Not only did his gameplay look better but the sound systems are galaxies apart. Yes, having a boombox as your gaming speakers wins you a ton of style points. But you lose just as many points when you hear it.
Oh plus I think Linus’s setup was a little more sleek and looked more like battle station I’d be happy to sit at for hours on end.
lol bro you must be blind
@@patrickgronemeyer3375just you
Linus setup IS better, but is boring AF. I still Like Jordan's
@@keithmarcus8638 Jordan's is cool for sure, but I'd much rather use Linus'.
I think the boombox is broken, sounding thin is expected but it shouldn't be quite that distorted
Maan this room is heaven. What would you get if they let you (a subscriber ) have 20 min to pick your parts for a build that you get to build with Linus and get to keep afterwards..Thumbs up so they see this!!
I like how Linus can bring a gaming community back to a game we all Love and prolly neglected and would love to play right now... Props to Linus... I miss that game
What, no poll?
I have to give it to Jordan on this one. The larger monitor is nice even at lower resolution - 1080p-ish was perfectly fine in Crysis era. The retro jank boombox just wins it for me. It has that "I spent all my money on my graphics card" vibe that is just perfect for this build.
You can actually change the line out, microphone and headphone outputs on motherboards into the 6 channels needed for 5.1 in windows settings 👌
Godbless Realtek!.
Me with a Dell pre built and one 3.5 Jack on the whole back of the PC😞 (it's ok, I solved it (ish) with a splitter from Amazon)
Holy shit 🤯 🤯 🤯
Woah, really? I can't believe I didn't know that
Yeah this saved me when I accidentally bought a mobo with only stereo support by default when I have 5.1 speakers. I thought I'd have to buy a sound card.
Jordan should definitively become more prominent on the channel, really fun to watch
These videos are some of your best content. I would say you guys need to do this as a battle of build between tech shops or tech shops and Linus.
17:45 was that a perfectly synched double "WHAT!?"?

A lot of this stuff isn't vintage. The majority even, is not vintage.

Awesome idea for a video, Linus. You two did very well with what you had! :D
Seeing this much random tech is really cool
This is great content. Loved it! Making it work with whatever scrap you can find and comedic building with banter is beautiful
This was a very fun to watch outcome of a very fun to watch and heartfelt video! :) And yes, also slightly reminiscent of Scrapyard Wars!
Around the time that Apple switched to Intel chips I had about 15 G4 cubes in stock. I had the powder coated pink, made pink inserts for the keyboard and monitors and sold them for about £500. Untouched they would sell for half that. They always sold well as they looked cool but the pink upgrade had hair dressers and nail bars lining up to have them on there reception desk! They where great little computers aside from over heating if you put a sheet of paper on top of it and having a power supply that was the size of a small desktop computer!
Love this and the first video. Shout out to the corner shop computer stores.
This was a fantastic video, nice job LTT team. These videos where the 'hosts' dont really know how its going to turn out end up being great content
Such a good video helping them out, even better that you lost alot. Not that I wanted to see you lose money, but it made me feel like you were in it for the right reasons and helped in such a unique a cool way. I loved that video so much and the nostalgia was perfect!
Kind of reminds me of Junkyard Wars. I liked it! I hope to see another video on this inventory.
Man, I really wish to work at LTT, it looks so much fun
The ability to make a video where you admit you are milking something, yet still make it a genuine video that doesn't feel like milking is amazing.
You and your team are incredible
The way linus carried that printer has me 💀
Im going to have to go with linus's build because of the power mac g4 cube. Man has clear taste.
