Next time, 6 plain DISHWASHER TABS hot water, run the jets for twenty minutes and watch the magic happen! It'll cycle through and clean them inside out so you can lightly scrub the surfaces if needed but generally it's not necessary. Some larger tubs need a couple extra DISHWASHER TABS. We did this when our jetted tub in the home we moved into had similar grime PLUS something like larvae MOVING 🤢 wiggling in the water... This tub was sparkling thereafter!! 20 minute jet run, hot water, 6 plain dishwasher tabs!

You absolutely should use the jet cleaner! It has enzymes that break down the gunk in the pipes where you don’t see

Call the manufacturer, there is a special hex tool that make removal easy.

I’d use pool shock treatment. I never wanted one for this reason.

Can you please do a video on how to clean a shower head? My vintage shower head has oxidized iron like it looks bluish and idk how to clean it.they seem like brass from the 1970s because my tub is brown

Wow! That was a really big job to clean it! I cracked up laughing & nearly choked when you said you felt like throwing up & then your ad came up for your cooking book!!! Hilarious! After seeing this I don't think I'll ever buy or use a bath with jets as I know that mould makes me really sick! Maybe it's why you've been sick a lot since moving into that house?!? Just a thought! I hope & pray that your health improves now that you have sparkling jets in your bath!! 🥰Blessings from South Australia💕🐨

I remember reading or hearing to never get into a jetted tub at a motel/hotel/resort because of mold and whatever in the jets. Don't even fill up the tub and get in when the jets are turned off. Once your own are clean, there is a procedure to keep them clean with regular maintenance, but I don't know what that is because I don't have those tubs.

That yellow brown color is actually dead skin and body oils accumulated. I would get rid of the tub too high maintenance.

I am researching a whole house filter now. Any advice on a reputable company or did yours come with your house?

Looks like you could soak as well in vinegar as probably calcium built up

What about a steamer cleaner for maintenance? Just steam water.

Oh lord! I can only assume most people don't go to that much effort to clean their jets. Never hopping in a hotel hot tub again.
