I don't want to take away from your cleaning recipes, but years ago when I was buying Pyrex baking dishes at yard sales, they were mostly covered in years old baked on grease. I would buy them for 25 cents or so, (because of the grime), take the home, put them into a plastic bag, double it, and put an ammonia soaked paper towel inside, tightly tie up the bag, put it outside for overnight. The next morning, that baked on grease would litterally fall off. After washing in hot water and dish soap, they looked like new! The biggest plus is no hard scrubbing. That hint worked on stainless steel also, I don't know about aluminum pans.
I use ammonia to clean my oven. I put a small dish of ammonia and a larger pot of hot steamy water in the oven and leave it over night. The grime just wipes off!
Great job Tawra! You did get me nervous a few times with the knife & later the glass, but thankfully all went well! -much love to all of you ~Mary & fam in NJ
I used the Dollar tree pink stuff, to clean the bottom of my Paul Revere cook wear that has the copper bottoms, I was very impressed with it most of the grime came right off it's not perfect of course because it's used but you can tell the difference for sure 😊
I’m first! ❤ My stainless steel sink has hard water stains on the edges that I have scrubbed to death and is not going away. So glad to watch cleaning videos today to try to figure out how to fix ALL my cleaning issues. Thanks for the video!
Those make excellent coffee! I hope you do a video of it on the stove brewing a cup. I didn’t see if you had the percolator insert. I’ve seen them online going for a lot of money. Great job cleaning. 👍🙂🌺
Any tips on getting corning ware paint off of an electric coil burner? I once let a teapot boil dry and it stuck to the burner. When the burner cooled the pot came off, but there is now white paint "glued" to the burner.
Liquid/ gel type dish washer soao works well on vehickl engine grease and grime. Paint it on with a chipmtuoemoait brush then let sit for 5 tom15 minutes. Optionally, turn the e gine on to let tje soao, hestnup, but jit so much as ti dry it out or burn it on. Hose off under pressure.

Wow ---that's an awesome tip!

The ammonia will etch aluminum. It works similarly to Easy-Off Oven Cleaner.
This also works on oven racks tied up in a big trash bag.
@@eclairtreo oven cleaner is sprayed on and left to soak. I just let the fumes from ammonia do the work. I don’t use it to scrub anything.
Suggestion , I’d put a little wire rack in the pan so it would lift up
The coffee pot off the bottom of the pan.
Love this!❤❤ Now how do I get a cookie sheet and other metal pans clean!
We have a Pyrex tea pot too. It has a medal basket to put the coffee grounds in too. I use it mostly to boil water for hot cereal or tea.
I LOVE that pot! I'd totaly use it as often as I could. Great cleaning demo!
Me too!

That was satisfying! Thanks Tawra and Dave!
Glad you enjoyed it!

I agree worth the challenge

Try using some aluminum foil. I know it works for rust❤.
I've comet on mine you could try soaking it in vinegar too.
Barkeeper's Friend works for me, it cleans and polishes. I know I shouldn't do it, but it also removes tarnish from copper pans.
Good advice
Good job
Love you apron!

Good job🎉
That looks brand new.
A little bit of elbow grease can go a long ways. Thank you for sharing. Appreciate you guys ❤
And here I thought you would tip that pot upside down and do the boiling method again for the pot and pieces. Nice to see that revived!!
Please give a shout out to Mexican cooking on a budget... She has been promoting your book on several videos

I did that once except the teapot fused to the coil! If it won't come off with a razor blade you will probably just have to get a new coil.
I'd use it to boil water for tea.

i just use comet and dishsoap
I'm just wondering why you didn't just boil all the parts
With that being glass, can't it combust and break?...
It’s probably tempered glass, made to contain hot liquids
Pyrex made for stovetop. My grandma had a coffee percolator similar to that back in the 60s.
💕💗💕🙏🙏🙏 That looks as good as new. Great job, Tawra. I think Dave was right about the toothbrush though. Have a blessed day.💕💗💕
👏👏👏👍💞

Here’s something interesting I just learned. pyrex all lower case is old pyrex. PYREX all capital letters is new pyrex.
It's the opposite but yes you can tell that way. PYREX is the old.
