The way your trains glide along really impresses me no gerky or unrealistic up and down movements ,just like standing in a field near Watford seeing WCML trains at speed ,great work 😊👍🏻
Hi Daniel, I have to say I am a great fan of details and you certainly know how to add it. Fantastic space and very envious of how you work in such a tidy manor. It really is very impressive and them curves are just awesome for long running shots. Great layout and following with lots of interest.. All the best, Chris
Nice update! your layout is really coming along nicely! I love the flow of the track and the trains run so smooth on it. One thought as you were adding your track detail, will you be adding dummy point motors to the points as they are often overlooked, and will finish of the detailing a treat. Keep up the good work! All the best Tony.
Some nice detail coming on mate, got those same catchpits, nice curve on the station, currently doing some station edging as well but have not gone for peco. Have you seen Tamworth station? Could be a good one to base your station on, cheers Ben
Thanks for the train fix, you flying on with the build. might I ask what colour you used to tone your platform edge. Looking forward to the next stream. Stay safe.
Another great great deltan video! Even though I don’t model the same prototypes on my videos but I am learning and enjoying a lot about the England area trains you’ve been running. I have some questions. 1. The EWS is the same holding company as the former Wisconsin central I believe? 2. The FIRST logo on the blue Passenger train we have over here on our school buses, I’m going to look that up. 3. I know virgin rail that’s Richard Bransons I assume 4. Would DB have trackage rights all the way into England in real life to carry a train from Germany to the UK, via the Chunnel?
1. EWS was indeed owned by Wisconsin Central. 2. First Group plc are a large company who started out in Aberdeen, Scotland, as a bus company. They branched out into railways in the UK as well as buying the iconic yellow school busses, Greyhound (since sold) and the leasing of police vehicles in the USA. 3. Yes, Virgin trains was part of Branson's empire. 4. DB Schenker took over EWS from Wisconsin Central and have rebranded some of the locos. Not sure about running trains all the way from Germany but the 66s don't run through the Channel tunnel. The 92s were designed to haul freight all the way from France to Mossend near Glasgow.
Very enjoyable video. My only questions are when you glue the platform edges I am guessing the super glue works fine sticking them to the baseboard? Also I dont see any markings when you put them down, is that all done by eye and experience as so many seem to have issues with the trains alongside the platform edges? Your old layout was fantastic but I much prefer this one but I am not sure why, possibly because it is bigger and that makes the video look better. Looking forwards to the next video. Regards Chris
Hi thanks for commenting, I'll do the first platform edge using a mk3 coach for reference of overhand, then all the rest after that I can usually get to match the first one. I guess that comes wihh experience and having a good eye for Parallel. The superglue is more than sufficient to stick the edges down. Thank you, yes I'm looking forward to this layout alot more than I was the first, probably as you say-the size.
what's the music you used in the first bit, where you were painting the platform strips, and the tunnel portals? And if it's supplied by UA-cam, how do you edit it into the video?
Hi, it's called Night runaway by An Jone. Its from a royalty free UA-cam page that supplies backround music free of charge but you have to credit them in the video description, hence the music links.
Hi 👋🏻 Daniel. Nice modern layout with realistic length trains and superb details 🤩 Looking forward to seeing your next update 👍🏻

Thank you very much! And yes I shall be along with a load more details once the ballasting and weathering is complete

Yes Tamworth is a nice station and it's got the added bonus of not just the WCML stock tok

Railmatch roof dirt paint was used for the platform edges

@@greatdeltan6556 Thanks for that Daniel!
Have you fixed the 321 Daniel
Nope still derailing, not had the time to take a proper look at it as I've been focusing on the layout progress
you should have cork bedding to drown out the sound
Doesn't really bother me, but for videos yes I think it may have helped
