This remind me a lot of Shinedowns Simple Man video. Like ... when they were less theatrical and more “gritty”. I seriously am enjoying the videos, and am grateful for the UA-cam “rabbit hole” I fell in that led me to discover you!!
Being a shinedown fan I agree. I love Brent Smith but he can be a little much. Their new stuff is a little to 'electric' if that's the word. There's some great songs on attention attention but a lot of them feel like fillers and a hot mess lol. Still love them tho

I think I told one of y'all, this was the song I sang to my son as his "lullaby" - he committed suicide in 2004, at age 15 - & I cling to my memories of him through this song often. Thank you for covering a song that means so much to my heart.

My wife and I watched her mom die right in front of us in our own house six weeks after we unexpectedly lost her dad to cancer. Unfortunately, life can be so unfair. Knew a lady in the early 60's who could rightly be described as a bitch, she knew my birth mother and said that's what my birth mom would've wanted for me had she lived, be a simple man, those exact words, that bitchy lady I've nicknamed Mrs Sparky for convoluted reasons taught me some great stuff but it was only after she too crossed the veil a few months after I'd met her that I'd realized I'd grown to love her for her qualities, accuracy, preciseness, getting shit right...
I watched Ronnie Vanzant sing this when I was 16 at a Tuesday night on core at Lakeland civic center in Florida many years ago, the crashed the next day and Ronnie died
I lived in NJ and Philadelphia for most of my life and then I moved west and went to concerts in Texas and Colorado. I was shocked at how rude people are there during a performance. The East Coast has a bit more respect than that.

Everyone at work has this song on their playlist (the original) and I hear it a few times a day, every day. I LOVE the fact that he's changed it up some! And again, they aren't in the studio, just hanging at the bar and having fun. Have a beer and enjoy!
