    Hello Kristin! Both recipes are well-known to me. In Poland yeast dough based fruit cakes are very popular, if my mum bakes anything it's usually this type of cake. (Also I live very near to the Silesian region). And fruit filled dumplings are also well known here, they are called 'knedle' and are traditionally filled with plums (we leave the stone inside so you have to be careful when eating). I can confirm they are often eaten for summer lunch as well as pierogi filled with fruit, usually blueberries, cherries or apples. This brings me back to my childhood, these were my favourite lunches 😋

      Thanks for this! I spent two summers in Austria and have fond memories of both of these (and also with Zwetschgen). I can no longer have gluten, so these are beyond me now, but I so enjoyed watching you make them.
