3 months back my friend spoke
to Citroen mechanics as he was worried about wet belt issue.. he told me that all turbo engines no longer have wet timing belt. His car is 2023 model C3 aircross.
Search in youtube, there is a detailed video on this belt issue
When it comes to coupe-SUVs, the 2012 BMW X6 is still my top pick. Nothing ever beats its beauty to this day in my eyes. What a fantastic structure and design!

I questioned how it would sell with its flat rear design. However, it went on to win the 'Car of the Year' award and many more. After seeing it over time, I also became a fan, especially when it was modified.

I own a duster, and I feel the ride quality - flying carpet effect - in Citroen is superior to any new vehicle available in this market segment as on date. Coming to styling, I think it's a personal choice for opting a coupe styling or go with C3 Aircross if one is looking for a 5 seater option. Citroen cars are good for what they offer and one can justify the pricing. Citroen needs to focus on adding more Sales and service network and give proper training to technicians on shop floor for proper fitment of parts once they disassemble it for service. (Based on feedback from Citroen customers in north)
Upgraded from Terrano to c3 aircross because nothing else felt right.

In every single parameter, it's a better car.
The ride quality of terrano at very low speed felt wee bit better because of 16" rims, but it's comparable.
Cabin is also much more silent in citroen, speeds are also masked well.
You won't feel 120kph until you look at the speedo, the stability around corners and higher speeds are way better in C3 aircross.
Body roll and control is also very tight in C3 aircross in comparison to duster/ terrano.
Duster & terrano had the best in class and shaped boot space at 475 litres, only c3 aircross has better boot than it, at 511 litres.
For the price its huge VFM.

I had bought myself a French Fast back back in 2006-07. It was the Peugeot 309. I absolutely loved it. Apart from the cracked dashboard it never had any issues. Rode amazingly well and was a very good handler. The TUD5 engine was frugal and reasonably peppy too.
French cars will always be quirky. I remember the horn button on the 309 was on the headlight stalk (I think) .
Hope the Basalt sells in decent numbers and the brand grows in India. We want more choice in the market. Enough with the Suzuki and Korean domination.

Why are spreading wrong information, they don't want to become maruti or Hyundai in sales.
They are making thousands of crores through exporiting engines and cars as well. They are here to stay.
Citroen is far more superior brand mechanically and engine wise than many brands in India ❤

Huge respect to address these types of vehicles as "Crossover" instead of SUV or compact SUV . Because nowadays its very common that people, car reviewers & brand itself calling these types of crossover vehicles as "SUV".
Eg - Creta, Nexon, brezza, ecosport,elevate etc these are not SUVs just crossovers.
SUVs must have proper 4*4 drive mode or at least all wheel drive system
Before buying a car consider ;
your budget ,
maintenance cost,
safety rating,
driving & travelling comfort,
resale value,
fuel efficiency.
No car is perfect.If you buy a car with a optimum combination of above parameters , need not regret .👍

Driving comfort is pretty good
Resale I don't know

I have been driving the European version of the CITROËN C3 Aircross for over a year now. This model is different from the C3 Aircross made in India. I am very happy with the drive quality and the torque that this tiny 1.2 L turbo engine provides.
That’s a totally different car. Now an adapted version of ours has made it there

I'm working in Stellantis design department for jeep and ram... Actually they have really worked on this model to upbringing their cars in the market.. Soon you can see jeep vehicles in Citroen platform

Personally I would choose Citroen as a brand, but with an average daily usage of 35-40 Km, petrol won't be suitable for me. I felt the seats to be very comfortable. My neighbour owns an eC3 and is in love with the car for its driving comfort and the suspension.
How many C3 or C5 we see on road today? Are the dealers doing proper advertising or promoting the products? The cabin of Citroën cars are not silent, there is turbo vibration inside, lesser refinement and still some parts are very old fashioned. Oru change avashyam ullavark chinthikam but are they doing justice to Indian market?

Braking- even without rear disc brakes, old Vento, Rapid to Virtus/ Slavia is amazing. Quality- that’s VW. Stellantis has lowered the standard of iconic European models for a few bucks. C3 couldn’t score even 4 stars proves the Jeep maker’s new strategy.

I like this coupe styling, but in this car A pillar needs redesign is necessary. I feel something looks added with its previous models. Expecting redesign in the future.

I seen Basalt many a times before launch , I felt its shape similar to 1st gen Dzire only.
Still there is room for a top model with Key less entry with push button start and cruise control.
Citron still playing the cheep game, but I dont think it will work out this time also. If they have launched C3 Aircross with atleast these features it may have got more buyers.
I see stellantis as a potential upcoming manufacturer. We have been using the multijet engine in multiple cars and is proven to be reliable. Hope stellantis invest in a good assembly line in india.

I think for 7.99 lacs introductory price, i can digest some cheap bits. This is a 4 meter+ car. Pretty much every car in its price range is sub-4 meter
