Everyone loves Soldiers of the Sea, for good reason, but my favorite is Murder, because it's one of the only tracks that features a violin solo. The soldiers of the sea part has to be one of the most magical moments I've experienced in a game. The way you start from behind the walls, only getting glimpses of the creatures, to finally being up close to them and noticing the humanoid figures on top. Witnessing all the death and chaos as the sailors fight for their lives. All the while that music playing, so good. If I could erase my memory of this game to play it fresh again I would.
@@leocarlton4364 It is being revealed in reverse time order, but you begin seeing the scenes with one where you can only watch through tiny slits in a wall.

@@quadronaut well to make a long story short, my first playthrough was raw. didnt know what i was doing, just did the best i could. after completing it i _learned_ about the achievements, then went back and started my 3 playthroughs. one of them is actually to simply omit every detail and name, one of them is to get most of the names and details right but omit the supernatural elements (the kraken, the fishfolk, the treasure etc) which coincides with the ingame ending as well. has to do with the fates, 0 - 27 fates gets the first ending, 30 - 55 gets the second ending, and so after that you only need to actually complete each and every detail correctly, one time, to get all three endings, and achievements. (tl;dr - first playthrough i goofed, 2nd ~ 4th i did them properly, meaning i only actually got the names correct on a single playthrough)

even after all this time there's something about listening to the soundtrack of this game that just makes me feel discomfort i don't know why could be the knowledge that this stuff plays during what is supposed to be the exact moment a soul left this world could be the memories of being scared half to death by the soldiers of the sea and thinking that the lone spike we see in the lazarette window was the leg of one of the spider crabs waiting for some climactic thing where we open the door to it and get jumped by it, leaving the secrets of the obra dinn a forgotten tale as the inspector and the boat guy are killed by it could be the fear that this game instilled in me of "wow we really might not know of some things in the ocean like that" could be something else entirely all i know is that there's something about listening to this that makes my entire nerve system kick into overdrive and make me feel weird
This song came up for me yesterday and despite having never consciously thought about the music, or of this game at all, since I beat it ages ago, I can't get this OST out of my head now! It was more genius than I gave it credit for at the time (to be fair, I had mysteries to solve)

I love this game. It brings Moby-dick, Treasure Island and Twenty Thousand Leagues under the Sea kind of vibe.
I am here again to say that I love how this game produced multiple ICONIC pieces of music. They're still living rent-free in my head.
I hope I can play this game in like a decade and have forgotten a good chunk of it
The Captain was a one man army.
The first fates you found are a 1vs3 won by the captain who was the last man to leave the ship
What I learned from the intro was that NO-ONE fucks the captain apart from his wife. And debatably the captain himself.
Very much yes. That scene taught me no-one efs the captain apart from the captain's wife.
And arguably the captain himself, if you consider what he got up to before the wreck got found.
even after all this time there's something about listening to the soundtrack of this game that just makes me feel discomfort
i don't know why
could be the knowledge that this stuff plays during what is supposed to be the exact moment a soul left this world
could be the memories of being scared half to death by the soldiers of the sea and thinking that the lone spike we see in the lazarette window was the leg of one of the spider crabs waiting for some climactic thing where we open the door to it and get jumped by it, leaving the secrets of the obra dinn a forgotten tale as the inspector and the boat guy are killed by it
could be the fear that this game instilled in me of "wow we really might not know of some things in the ocean like that"
could be something else entirely
all i know is that there's something about listening to this that makes my entire nerve system kick into overdrive and make me feel weird
Just finished the game! I loved it so much I'm looking for every scrap of extra content I can absorb from UA-cam
This song came up for me yesterday and despite having never consciously thought about the music, or of this game at all, since I beat it ages ago, I can't get this OST out of my head now! It was more genius than I gave it credit for at the time (to be fair, I had mysteries to solve)
I love how reading the title of this game in Portuguese sounds like you're saying "Return of the Little Shoulder Tackle" (ombradinha)
Thank you for posting this! The game sticks with you and I love listening to the soundtrack.
I love the sound design in this game not the least of which was the sound the soldiers of the sea make. Just creative and dark
遊び終わってからしばらく経ったけどまだ聴いてるぞ!かっこいい!
please lucas pope do another one with the same concept it's just so good I finished it 4 times and I want mooooooooreeeeeee
This style of game is fresh market. I rekon if anyone made another one of a similar style it would sell, just as long as the quality is the same
How can you play through this game more than once? Did I miss something?
how did you play it more than once??
@@loulimibarney3435 If you are bad at the game like me, then you can replay it many more times until you 100% it
@@Jinars.I always assumed you had to 100% it to complete it, well, guess I did then.
The whole OST does make me think of the early 1800s/Napoleonic Era really well. Very fitting for the game’s setting.
This game has the obvious musical winners, but I do so much love all the black horses that apparently also other youtubers like.
Hell no, all them songs are bangers!
16:27 always gave me serious Clockwork Orange vibes. People who know the opening song will probably know what I mean! Beautiful work by Pope!
I remember playing this game for the first time while on call w my friends and the way we all collectively yelled “WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT“ when the sea monsters attacked, still such great memories we had so many laughs during this game
Parrot, the 4th Mate and Moss are my Favourites.
A Bitter Cold was the saddest chapter for me. Imagine seeing your good friends slowly succumb to a disease amidst the journey aboard the ship.
This game truly is remarkable. Harkens me back to a time where I enjoyed computer games for simply being what they are. Idk if that makes any sense lmfao
If I ever open a night club, this is playing on opening night.
I will probably come back to this music for as long as I am able.
Agreed. So underrated
I had such memorable time with this game, i want to get back into it but maybe i should wait for a year or two before, hoping i forgot enough of the crew's names, and play it "fair" as i would give names and fates only if i do have solid proofs and without guessing.
I played this game in late June but I can't stop thinking about it, it's so amazing. I get the urge to replay it but I still feel like I know stuff too well. I think waiting might be for the better though or maybe watch a playthrough

This might be the first video I've seen without any dislike. I think it's because only good people with great taste are here
Plus, there's literally nothing to dislike, just amazing music from an awesome game
What dislikes? :^)
*fuckin UA-cam removing dislikes though*
I know it will seem strange to many but the music of this game teleports me to the 90's, I heard something similar in those times and this reminds me of it in one way or another.
Perfect soundtrack to a perfect game. Keep up the good work.
The cook wanted to taste that humanoid demon flesh
Increíble la calidad de esta BSO. Me recuerda en muchos fragmentos a los primeros trabajos de Mike Oldfield.
i wish to forget everything about this game to play it for the first time...
Bargain C really did something to me. RIP Martin, he was a hero.
Utterly phenomenal game. This is going to stick with me as one of the finest experiences I've ever had with a game, and the music plays a huge part of it. Like DizKo says, Soldiers of the Sea is my favourite part of the game... Just witnessing it, and that music.... utterly sublime moments. I'm so sad I can't just wipe my mind and play through the game again.
beautiful
The last guy who uploaded the full OST had his video removed. Not sure if he did it himself or if UA-cam did it, but I hope the same thing doesn't happen again.
Thanks for uploading
ost: good
game: the best
the only pity: this game is so good that i cant forget it and play it again
This playlist could be in reverse order, and it would still make sense thematically.
Soldiers of the sea A so good.

Listening to this OST after completing the game, it immediatly shows in my mind every moment of the game, with their voices, sounds and feelings. What a game it is, an amazing fantastic game ❤
It sort of has bells, right?
That makes it a Christmas thing.
이 자는 누구인가? 어떤 최후를 맞이하였는가?
Gotta love Escape A and B!
