I have seen a lot of complaints regarding Ideapad hinge issues and cracking and Lenovo declining repair even inside the warranty period. Is anything changed in this new model, or is it still the old plastic hinge supports?
It's plastic bcuz we have antenna in the hinge area for connectivity.

Please make a 16" version with no numpad and 3 USB A ports. I couldn’t buy the Yoga 7i gen 7 16" because the trackpad is not in the center. Many of us never use a numpad but we need the 16" version with all ports and good touchscreen and gpu. I hope Lenovo makes something like that. Then it will be a perfect creator laptop for many. Thinkpad X1 Xtreme is good but everyone may not like the price and design language. I am looking forward to a rounded edged Ideapad with no numpad 16" version. Thank you Lenovo! Especially for keeping the SD card slot available.

My Lenovo laptop was taken to service centre 3 times in the past year. Each time the CS just said the whole motherboard was replaced (yes - the motherboard was replaced 3 times within a year) under warranty with cold hard face woman with zero explanation on what was the actual issue. Could be worse I guess.

IdeaPad Pro 5 14" storage supports one drive, up to 1TB M.2 2242 SSD or 1TB M.2 2280 SSD.

@@Lenovo-PC The up to 1TB refers to the offering (in the PSREF), which is what Lenovo sells with the notebook. You can easily swap the SSD for a 2 TB one.

@@juraj.golias I have the 14" model, it runs pretty well considering it's a compact laptop. Played spiderman on mostly medium settings on 1920x1200 resolution got stable 60FPS. CPU and GPU temps were around 70-75 degrees (balanced mode). My only gripe is with the battery life which in my experience is nowhere near the advertised 10hrs. Maybe it's the difference in installed apps and settings. Mostly been getting 4-6hrs of moderate office work and browsing.
Fan noise were acceptable on the standard lenovo vantage settings.

The video says the HDMI port is 2.1 spec, but it's actually 2.0.
It's HDMI 2.0 or could name as HDMI 2.1 TMDS (supports 4096 x 2160@60Hz).
I really love the design... But Lenovo can you make a 17 or an 18 inch model with an AMD processors.. Even an Advantage edition... Thank you... I love Lenovo because they have a numpad, which i'm using it... Thank you again for the development

@@morten1 for me its not... I prefer wide screen, rather then supra-vertically tbh... If someone is a programmer or content creator, be my guest.. I don't judge... But for me as an analyst, i prefer a wide 17 inch screen...with a better cooling and a numpad
