Thanks for thorough review. I'm starting school next month and I need one for at least 4 years at financial aid prices. I found this exact model at Costco for $200 off and I think I'm going to get it. EDIT: I got it and I'm very happy with it! The hinge seems to be designed really well and I love the ability to turn it into a tablet. I use it more than I thought I would especially considering I've got a lot of PDF textbooks. it makes it really easy to read them and the touch screen works great!
Hi! I bought the Ryzen 7 8845 version. I work with audio production. I don't know if this model gets very hot (especially when charging) or if it's a problem with my unit. I don't want to say "Wow, I can't use the keyboard or touch the laptop", but unlike my girlfriend's laptop (a Dell Latitude), I feel that it gets warmer, especially in the middle area just below the screen. That's where the cooler is with the air outlet at the back.
@@FrancoMaldonado96 these lenovos 2 in 1 tends to get hot, i have a i7 12th it gets very hot when im 3d modeling but works great, what i do its go to battery settings and put the energy setting on eficiency and it cools down, i turn on the max performance while rendering
I realized w/o setting out to do so, I've become a Lenovo fan. I have 4! From a very lowend Chromebook, a Duet ChromeOS tablet, a Flex5 Chromebook, and a ThinkPad Nano with Linux and Windows. I think what I like about Lenovo is the chassis feel, even the cheap ones feel solid and aren't creaky or flexy.
@@FrancoMaldonado96 actually I happen to have both now, I have IdeaPad 5 pro (7840hs, 32gb ram) and yoga 7 pro (7735hs, 16 gb ram and rtx 3050). The build quality appears to be better on yoga 7 pro. IdeaPad 5 pro build is very similar to yoga 2 in 1 2024. Tbh the only major difference is keyboard and speakers(25 percnt more bass ). IdeaPad 5 pro is all metal build and feels like tank. Only keyboard differs between the two if I would say practical usage. I now need to sell my yoga 7 pro because ideapad 5 pro does the job for me .xD PS: IdeaPad runs 5 to 10 degree Celsius cooler than my yoga 7pro. Maybe due to new processor I guess. But, anyways they are 25 to 30 degrees cooler than Intel under load and gpu extensive tasks.
i have the 14inch amd model, and its lighter. this is an office laptop, who cares about hdmi version there? the microsd only is the same on the 14" one, and there it makes sense, tbh. i have no use for an sd reader anyways. the usb cs also do display out. do not get the optional digital pen 2, that sucks, get a precision pen 2 instead.
Please can you answer these two questions, the first: NTSC is 45%, but is it really that bad? Can you enjoy watching a movie? And the other question: Can you open the laptop with one hand ? Thank you!
@@SoulOfTech Thanks! It utilizes the incredible Core i7 13700H with 16 GB DDR5 RAM and 1TB SSD. The display resolution is same as the Envy 16 you reviewed, 2560p display with 120 hz refresh. It's slightly disappointing that I was only able to purchase the A370M graphics version instead of atleast the RTX 3060. It's suting me great for productivity. The hinge is like whatever for me, it is just decent. I actually like those grills design wise, they look great like Macbooks but with no function lol. What a GREAT upgrade from the Acer Swift 3 2019 Core i5 8th gen 4GB RAM. I absolutely love it. The Spectre 16 ain't available here, but Envy is still badass at a better price. It kicks off the Dell XPS 15 which has been regarded terrible for its low price to performance ratio.
@@SoulOfTech Great! I myself have bought a 8845hs Lenovo Ideapad Slim 5, waiting for it to deliver. Do you happen to have a discord server for your community?
Hello Shahpar! Thanks for the great video. I am seriously thinking of buying this computer, but am also looking at another Lenovo product, the Lenovo Thinkpad E16 Gen 1 16". Features of this computer include the i7 1355U processor, 16GB Ram 512B SSD. Other than the 512GB vs the 1TB in Ideapad. I'm thinking that the Thinkpad (I currently own one and love it) is an upgrade over the Thinkpad. Would you agree?
Thanks for watching. The iPhone's bottom microphone actually does really well in most low decibel tests and has been very consistent. We found when compared to a standard testing microphone it falls within +/-2dB of accuracy.
Product links and other details can be found in the video description :)
can u provide an amazon link perhaps?

I bought the AMD version, a few days ago. I like it. It handles all of my office work, and FL Studio, without an issue. Work, and play. Sweet.
The amd Ryzen 5 7530u ?
@@seanp6685there is no ryzen 7530u version, you are mistaking this with the older flex 5, this one has a 8645hs as base config, which is a monster.

Thats great to hear, when Lenovo gets it right they do a great job!
Great review. Plenty of info and quick to the point.

How does the build quality of ideapad 5 pro compare to yoga 7 pro?

excellent video! :D
Thanks my dude!
Would you recommend spending the extra few hundred bucks and going with the yoga 7 2-in-1 ?
What did you find out?
Is this good for video calls/conferencing? If not, what would you suggest for video calls?

hi, great video!😊 do you feel like this would be a good laptop for Uni+The Sims 4?
sure
Great and useful video, thank you! Also, I know I'm a bit late, but does it have compatibility problems with Linux?
Thanks for watching! I did not test Linux on it so I cannot say objectively. Technically I do not see why not though.
Im interested in buying this for my college, the amd version. Should i buy the standard slim 5 amd or the 2 in 1
