Don't listen ... unless you want this tune stuck in your head for at least a week afterwards!
The ELO violins lived onThanks for sharing.
Great music makes your imagination work really vividly and run wild! Love it!
Top Class Channel 4 Test Card Music!
Top 20 rundown music as used by Simon Bates in the early part of 1979 on the Sunday Top 40 show on Radio 1. This brought back the memories. Cheers!
So so so glad you have put up this comment because I've been racking my brains trying to work out how I know this!!!
Glad you enjoyed it, Liam!

So good, even the Brass Band in the movie Brassed Off played it!!!
Mik Kaminski and friends.
How ELO! Fitting, seeing as Mik Kaminski's in there. Many thanks. Can't get this on Spotify.

It is NOT a song
It reminds me of the good old days in Yorkshire with Richard Whitely on Calendar.

Jeff Lynne may hate him but boy this takes me back Brighouse Brass Band do a great version to.Thanks
why does Jeff Lynne hate him?
cybertronian2005 legal and finical reasons
Michael 196782 is horribly wrong - firstly it was Simon Bates presenting the top 40 in 1979 and it was only used as backing music from 21 Jan to 25 Feb (the week before it got into the charts) ---- and I have all the recordings to prove it!
Good song
the albums are very good as well.
I have got the single somewhere. It sounds like ELO under another name. How many members of ELO apart from the violinist?
NJPurling None, just Mik Kaminski.
NJPurling It's because is neoclassical music, don't you get it?.
I’ll always remember this for being the eating contest music from Banzai.
Used in Brassed Off. Wonderful tune. Inspired by a shop selling clogs.
Sounds like a BBC TV sports programme intro!
Love this song, can’t find it in Apple or Amazon music
Sounds like Status quo to me.
This sounds like the wombles....
