Palworld: We are the ultimate neocapitalism slavery camp simulator
Upwell: Hold my Quafe
Garbage Game! Has a crap ton of pugs! *PAY TO WIN* You can buy in game money with real money.
*You can't us all ships, ammo, attachments etc*
That means you'll get whooped by anyone paying. Literally WHOOPED.
If your ship gets bugged with video evidence, the staff will literally blame you and say their game is flawless.
Guess baldness is a small price to pay for immortality 😂
yea im mean they are basicli slaves but what ever
I'm already bald. Can take an immortality now?
That's not baldness. That's TESTOSTERONE! Ladies, let's dance.
Embraaaaaace it
Erst is bald
So, EVE has finally moved from the "Immortality for the rich" to "Even death will not free you from your toil" :D
Capsuleers have always been the ones rich enough to afford a large cloning supply, however Upwell seems to now be able to alter your clone to a younger state, stronger state, smarter state, etc. Adds an extra layer of wealth divide :3
@@ash3dEVE So, clone grades :D
like "Altered Carbon"
i mean sure if you're caldari or amarr. thankfully those of us enjoying the freedom and liberty within the gallente/minmatar umbrella will enjoy our newfound immortality by having lots of queer sex on piles of amarrian religious texts and then going to union meetings
Two immediate reactions are 1) Will this destabilize the empires, if cloning become commoditized so that every non-capsuleer can afford it? 2) Scam sense is tingling. This whole trailer just feels sinister under the surface, and I can't describe why.
According to the lore, they have to render services in order to get cloned, in a sort of indentured servitude.
EVE's cloning tech in itself is pretty sus though, as it seems like every clone is just a separate person with uploaded memories of it's identity's past. So every time a clone dies, that person dies, but the memories live on. That's likely why it feels sinister.
Same. I totally felt that gentle sinister vibe under the surface.
Well... did you ever watch Moon?
@@feronanthus9756 Two weeks to go, buddy!
it oozes apple brainwashing.
We really need an EVE TV show. The art team rocks!
But who'd be willing to air it? Or sponsor it?
Like Fallout. I also thought about it for years. Still, EvE community is relatively small to prove such show profitable. Title must be famous enough for sponsors to be interested in investing show or movie. In case of EvE, I guess anime format would be great for start, like Edgerunners.
@@SV-to5kx How popular was The Expanse before it hit the small screen? EvE could easily have a huge audience, even if a small fraction of them actually played the game.
@@SV-to5kx I disagree, even the down the rabbit hole video has millions of views. Practically everyone knows about EVE but you do have to be a certain kind of gamer to want to play it. I reckon the viewer base would be considerably larger than the player base.
The art ccp throws at us is just mad good. Some really talented animators, modelers and such. Also you have to be a different kind of being to play eve. Its just that an involvement and demanding on you. We are all weirdos guys
All's well that's Upwell.
nice1
"Those doors... they never opened for me.."
I remember another set of doors in EVE that didn't open; the ones in my captain's quarters. Is this a hint, or am I reading into it too much?
He is confined to a wheelchair planetside or, in other words, not walking in stations.
@@feronanthus9756 Wheeling in stations.
Yes you are reading into it too much. The next expansion willnhave a bunch of new upwell sovereignty structures, the structures will need fuel, staff and something called "reagents" which will come from planets. This video is alluding to the clone indentured servitude which will make up our work force
@@trolley7657 they will use clones as fuel.
Everything fine until you realize Upwell can revoke your clone anytime if you fail a payment.
This is a universal threat to humanity!
You can be a wheel chair Slave or you can be a valuable Slave. What do you choice?
that's a simple legislative decision away. go bang rocks if you don't like progress
Or they decide that dying doesn't get you out of working for them.
“You did not meet the quota. You will now be terminated”
@@craytonaMC Killing is just a means of communication
My theory: New mechanics require humam resources, and we will be deploying these Upwell clones in the millions to continue to harvest and value add our PI mats.
Not my idea but from better thinkers then me. The new resources will be for SOV Null. Empires need people, resources(reagents), and power. You will have to haul resources around the empire (new corp projects will make this easier) and in return the alliance will extract value and modify space to be more conducive to different activities.
This is for the new minigame
Upwell HR Departments? Ugh!
yes that's exactly what this is
Either that or the new materials needed require tonnes upon tonnes of hair and mass cloning and shaving of said clones is the cheapest way to get it.
Can I have that IRL please
This Comment! x1000
Patience please. Just focus on staying healthy for now
Cloning in real life is the same as creating an identical twin sibling with its own personality and opinions, this younger IRL clone wouldn't be you unfortunately.
Oh, so there are people interesting in becoming corporate, mindless slave. Wondering how much rent that new body costs?
Go play that game about scraping spaceships. You don't want corporate level cloning. EVER
@@willemvandebeek That's what the brain scan is for.
Feels like these guys are setting up to become form of dystopian corporate villians.
Especially considering that they literally have no competition.
welcome to the Caldari State
That's almost every corporation in Eve Online tho. They will have to be especially scummy to stand out.
Are we finally going to get passenger ships to haul people around?
This is good. They feel sinister in just the right way.
No joke the trailers for this are killer
1 thing. the graphics/ video department never disappoint with eve
I absolutely love this, this is pure any empire criticism at it's finest, the first trailer was an ad for us the capsuleers, the richs, the ruling class of this dystopian nightmare for the masses, we were sold a product that fueled our wildest dreams of control and power and we didn't paid it too much attention, while on the other hand the people that we definetely don't give a damn for, all this time, thoses that actually dies at every destruction of a ship or a citadel, in any kind of conflict, were sold hope and illusions while we never dies for good.
It mark the line between the ones that have nothing but pains and struggles inside this universe, the ones that were sold an illusion where their lives are better were they do have a chance to be something, while it's potentially just a much more horrible prison than what their lives were. Upwell use the one who dreams of something to sell to thoses who dreams for more. They serves us, we shape the space, as they said, "at our image". And when i'll come back to the previous trailer, i look at it in a very different way, when i see thoses clones i hear of bad their conditions sound yet we're exhilarated about all of this. Now I'm really scared at myself for not noticing sooner, and the worst part is, even if i'm not disabled, i'm closer to the peoples being cloned than the billionaires capsuleers who control everything, the ones that i actually get used to be identified with.
Upwell gain money on both end but will use extreme violence on only one side, the ones that have nothing (and therefore can't buy anything) to be able to maintain structures and satisfactory relationship between them and the capsuleers who will keep using their services, btw, if upwell happen to be horrendous in nature to the extent that even we, will have to fight them, while they took functions of most of the starbases structures, that are becoming dysfunctionnal, what will we end up with if they're one day destroyed, like we wont be able to make anymore structures or something?
Would you try again to say whatever you were trying to say? This is gibberish.
@@barrysears8194 i know english isn't my primary language but i think i'm clear enough???
@@user-vo8zx2uj1pyeah it's pretty clear, just not grammatical. I don't think we will be fighting upwell I think the dystopian hypercapitalism of it is just the EVE aesthetic and you will see if you look into any of the lore what a horrible place New Eden is if you aren't the rich elite or a capsuleer.
@@trolley7657 Thanks, i don't know the complete lore of eve because it's way too big but i understand how horrible the society is in any empire, since i still have played the game for a few years and all
Waiting for that moment when "BRING ON THE WRECKING MACHINE"
SETTING HIS DREAMS OF HEAVEN ON FIYAH
F CCP Guard
There's always a catch...
Slavery
And an Impass.
This is so dystopianly creepy. I love it! More like that in EVE, please.
Also lol, I guess after the Jove died out it's now on the rest of New Eden to just turn *themselves* into Jove.
The eve universe just gets richer and richer in lore and story content.
I have to commend the art department or whoever came up with the idea of showing planets and part of the (hard) lives down there.
I really think this could expand EVE significantly!
Also: I and many other people would really like the idea of a new body... ;-) Although I'm not so sure about the conscience-transfer.
0:55 Cloning technology in question : Wakes up has an Harkonnen
i would love to wake up as feyd rautha
Lore for how Upwell structures are crewed. 🤓👍🤘
Nah in the next expansion we're actually going to need to bring staff for upwell structures including new sovereignty hubs, and passive moon drills. That's what this trailer is alluding to
Logically speaking, it would make sense if the new ressources were extracted in null for the null, but they were still dependent on high sec for.. well... a steady supply of people.
I was thinking they was going to strap rockets to his wheelchair :D
i welcome our new young, hot, bald overlords o7
o7
o7
They're not bald they're just Aerodynamically designed.
Cannon fodder for the vanguard
This one has a Deus ex MD trailers vibes. I like it!
Upwell: making the uncommon, common.
Very inspiring but also kinda scary and dystopic
That's EVE alright
@@JoaoBarbosa1996looking at Blood Raiders and Sanshas Nation. Blood Raiders used baby blood in thier rituals before they changed to capsuleer blood since those types are more pure then adult blood. Sansha Nation is basically Borg
it's actually the opposite of dystopic
wow u guys can make a movie now this quality is awesome
WHOOOOOAH....this Summer is going to be boss!
What I would do to have two legs again and repaired nerves in my spine. My current prosthetic foot is from the Icelandic company Össur, the Proprio Foot is brilliant, but it can't replace a healthy leg.
At least in the world of EvE-Online you can dream of what might come long after my time: A New Life with Upwell!
Good trailers as always. nice job with the dynamic lighting, the graphic department is still creating the world the way we we imagine it.
This smells like Fortuna from Warframe. *We All Lift Together intensifies.*
Someone should pay those clones
Upwell are definitely going to turn out to be the baddies
That's the beauty of Eve; everyone is the baddies.
Hmm, the more kind and friendly they seem when doing things like this, the more sus it seems. So many movies and games have this. Vault tec, umbrella corp, bioshock. I am sure there are more.
They way her voice-over wavers at the last consonant in "UPWELL". Makes it so much more sinister, combined with the body harvesting. Who really are Upwell?
They're a consortium of megacorporations in the hypercapitalistic dystopia that is New Eden. They don't care about the normal poor people of the cluster anymore than we as immortal capsuleers do. That's a pretty common theme of EVE, the unthinking oppression of the poor by us and the other rich elites of society
Immortality?
We can arrange that...
**Gaunter O'dim's theme song slowly starts in the background**
There is something so sinister about this.
Not much, what's Upwell with you?
have my like and get out XD
Upwell: "We provide you with a second chance."
Reality: YOU DIED
Boy that's DARK.
I love how you can make this "totally"wholesome add, but everyone knows that it's probably horribly corrupted.
GO EVE GO!
Fresh start? new life? OMG!)
Yep online to join the Jovian’s.
My take for why this feels so sinister is because this is the civilian application of cloning tech. Whenever civilians get their hands on technology it's expected to have been on military hands for a lot longer. What sort of abominations have resulted from cloning tech that we don't even know about yet? Besides, the uncanny bald clones at the end of the trailer look too similar to each other to my liking. If feels like they all invested in the "economy package" and got clones that are eerily similar
Upwell seems to be a private military contractor of innovation and technological advances that manufactures infrastructure, ships and space material to the highest bidder. And all this to achieve maximum power and ambition by using questionable and unethical methods. Deep down, they are worse than a capitalist megacorporations like Caldari
Not Fishy at all
We make the best Worlds, Upwell!!!
Chillbumps bruh.
Someone tell me I'm wrong: The male narrator's voice in the beginning is the same talent who did narration for the Homeworld game series. Good work if you can find it.
the gelente have such harkonnen esque ship design
I wish this was RL because many of us would like a re-do.
Upwells stuff is just so influential its mad. Like take their structures. Sotiyo is my favourite, as its real big, 170km long, and also looks great. Will anything beat a keepstar in size, like ever, with its 198 km length? We can only guess. But actually being able to do shit on planets, and even land on them potentially would be a whole another level of experience. And about cloning... i dont know what this means. Cloning armies of people and throwing them away like rocks, to be ravaged by enemies? Or potentially secretly profiting off powering pirate factions, under the nose of the empires? Caldarian capitalism be like, thousands of years in the future.
I really want to be a welding operator like that guy in the video.
Why did I get the feeling of "Pay to Change your Race" vibe from this? :D
Man, that's the right mix of dark and inspiring. Well done. I'm still not buying a new rig to log back. It's been too long. Gg o7
Are they hinting that there's WIS coming?? They said " ..the doors never opened for me..." - a reference to the old Captain's Quarters door?
Upwell Consortium may very well be a front for The Deathless to raise their army from the inside of empire space.
I wish Earth had an Upwell! Sign me up!
This will be our future if things keep accelrating in Biotech and Genetic Cloning....if it isn't already and only a select few use it.
Amarr Jesus once spent 40 days and nights in Jita, giving a can of Quafe to everyone who used the New Caldari gate!
Begun The Clone Wars have... (I just wanted to write that ty!)
Getting some hardspace shipbreaker vibes from this.
awesonme.. Good Work Guys :)
yo i had to look up the ad because no one mentioned that its EvE online bro i thought its some kind of new animated movie
Using real PI infrastructure for Vanguard battles would be amazing. Using these clones as "PI defenders" in Vanguard would be awesome.
Upwell is behind the Vanguard clones perhaps?
Old Man's War
Let's leave the reporting to professionals like *The Scope*😅
Imma need that bgm
Station doors waiting for decontamination flasback
We get em back? :3
Reminds me Old Man's War by John Scalzi
Freedom to be your most bald and creepy self. I love it
Starcitizen backers gonna need this to see the release of their game lol
This is great CCP. One thing I've always thought there should be more of is corporation commercials, ship commercials, and NPC propaganda. You have a universe built on corporations! You could easily build in relatable consumer lore and really get some buy-in from the community by doing this. Look at how Star Citizen (apples and oranges game and reasoning - I get it) does ship launch videos and really plays into the manufacturers and what they are about.
Which corporation builds the Brutix? (I dunno, do you?) What's it do? Why is it great? Why should I buy one? Have them sell it to me like your advertisers try and sell me your game. Sharpen your own advertising group by seeing through the eyes of Kaalakiota trying to sell me a Widow or a Flycatcher. I'll know some lore and be informed. You get advertising and a player base with a set of videos to learn more about what ships do - or what a corporation is about.
More of this, and more often! You have 20 years of backlog, let's see it!
Please give us a soundtrack!!!!!
Gives us the soundtrack!
Are you telling me the corpo-dystopian hellscape of the Caldari aren't ADA-compliant?
Thats proper creepy.
AWESome DEI has come to EVE...
After watching fallout...upwell is sounding more like vault tech
How is it different from air technology ?
Soooo reborn as a clone and just work until you die and repeat? Well Amarr probably will love this idea and start experimenting on some Minmatar people
Do your part and GET TO WORK CITIZEN
Epic trailers.
Трейлеры с персонажами из игры стали очень хорошими. Мне нравится!
All the new content is nice
Poor guy, 1 isk is the entire earnings of a person for a year. Now he has to pay 900,000 Isk. Man is going to be working for centuries.
"EvE Online, better Trailer/Cinematics then the game"
seems there still working on the whole cloning hair part
So, on the one hand I know that each of these trailers probably takes a lot of work hours to put together, especially since they don't look like they reuse in game assets. I wonder if they'll be used for something like Vanguard.
On the other hand, Bald Clone slaves
Soon planets will have colonys and populations
So, I guess skill training is going away and will be replaced by some version of skill point gathering mentioned at the last Fanfest.... and you'll get a chance to completely remap your current skill points. Just a guess.
god i forget how grim eve is sometimes
Upwell are the Jove or Drifters
nice i can copy paste myself
Already a thing jump clones ftw
^ eve online meets black mirror
Well, this isn't ominous at all...

Beautiful!
so if i am already balding, does that mean i'm on my way to greatness? cause believe me, it doesn't feel like it
