London Vision Clinic Professor Dan Reinstein, Lead Consultant to Carl Zeiss Meditec, was involved from the Visumax 800 design concept stages, feature design all the way to prototype testing and verification. He developed the patented computer assisted centration system - with the VISUMAX 800, incorporating a number of computer assisted procedure enhancing tools and a design that makes the procedure shorter and more ergonomic for the surgeon. Professor Reinstein performed the first lenticule creation with the device in the lab in 2019 and the first SMILE pro procedure in the UK.
