It’s nice to see a good video on this. Very informative and helpful. Great work my friend. Hope all is well with everyone. Take care my friend. Going to Carlisle this summer, can’t wait.
Thanks buddy! All is well for us and I hope everything is going well for you too. Thank you for stopping in and always showing your support buddy it’s greatly appreciated! That’s going to be a lot of fun and I still hope to be able to go one year. Have a great week my friend.
I’m a tuner, never turned a wrench in my life my tech is on vacation and I wanted my sled back on the road now. I removed my trans with the help of this video alone took me about 13 hours lol… but I did it bolting up the new built sunco today!
That’s awesome to hear that you found this video helpful and informative and it was able to help you on getting your transmission out. It’s ok it took you that long as long as you didn’t hurt yourself or break anything. Good luck on bolting your new one up.
Does the bell housing bolt directly to the block or is there a plate in between? I’m looking at a truck that cracked the bell housing and the part that it bolts to is also cracked and not sure if that’s the block or not
The bell housing bolts up to the rear cover and then bolts up to the block. You can replace the rear cover with the engine in but you will have to remove the transmission. Hopefully that helps.
