    Great tip with the vice grips! I’ve ground mine down with my bench grinder sometimes too far for my clutches liking.

    This is pretty much the first thing I do when I get a new engine. I had a couple where the pads had stuck to the plate so the clutch wouldn't disengage. Can be fixed with brute force, but I always like to have a look anyway.

    good to know i need to tear mine down and see whats going on . there is alot of slop in my clutch arm and im not sure if all the parts are there .. i dont want to try forcing the arm cause i dont want to break anything but there ether is no play in that clutch cause it dont move when i push on the clutch arm or im just not forcing it enough . but i guess we will see when i do the engine inspection .

      When you push the clutch in if the clutch isn’t letting go yet then adjust your flower nut

      Sounds like you might need to adjust the pretension spring behind the clutch plate. Pretty simple to do. Hughes Motorized has the best information I've seen so far on how to do this

    All right so on the clutch pads themselves there is a open part then there is a straight slick part which way do you put them in I'm not getting it because no video has explained anything about which way to put them in backside or front side

    Hi there I not long ago bought an 80cc peddle and pop as a non runner I got it running great but soon after I started it a few times the clutch didn’t work, unless you had the lever fully out, there was only a cm of grip catching it and slight scraping sounds just before it engages, the rest of the lever just rolling no turning over, but slight scrape sounds when rolled

    • @2strokezoomies
      @2strokezoomies 2 роки тому

      When rolled disengage just a cm before lever fully out and scrapes but rolls free/ lever fully out when rolled it turns over but I don’t want to risk starting it again untill I know for sure replacing the pads will give me my lever halfway out start back.😭

      You can adjust that just with the flower nut bro by adjusting that you can make it grab sooner or later depending on which way you go
