Even Electronic Gaming Monthly gave it four 8s. So who said it was a bad game? People who played it 25 years after it came out because they werent born yet in '93? And yes, I played it single player and still enjoyed it.
Have to agree 💯. Battletoads & Double Dragon: The Ultimate Team, specifically the SNES version was the best of all the console releases. With the kick-ass soundtrack, storyline, and overall gameplay mechanics (although some problems with the controls were present but are easy to overcome once you get used to them) and the challenge the game presented (was actually harder than most people thought, as one would expect if they ever played any game from either franchise), it was a great crossover of two of the best beat'em -up franchises of all-time and did not disappoint like some crossovers have done.

@ravinraven6913 This just in, youtube commenter doesn't realise other people may have had different experiences in their childhood. Saying it was only from 2000 onwards is entirely missing how ridiculously popular some 90s games incredible. There's a reason the industry was booming as it led into 2000.
I must say, you must have had a totally different experience with 80s and 90s games than I did. I remember taking my nes carts to school to trade with my friends for a week. Mario, Zelda, Final Fantasy, Double Dragon, and countless other absolute legendary titles. And I never ever recall anyone ever getting bullied or picked on. The kids who had the newest system and games were always the most popular because you wanted to go to their house and play the newest thing. And as far as things not working, just take the cart out and blow in the bottom. And I had a tv in my room with my nes or super nes always plugged in and ready to go. You obviously arent of that age. Most kids in those days had to show their parents how to set the clock on the VCR. Back then kids took care of our own business.
And I don't know why I didn't pick up on this before. But why are you referring to 70s and very early 80s games like pong and frogger? I lived through the supposed video game crash. I own my original copy of ET for the 7800 that was mine as a child. I think you are confusing that era with the revolution that Nintendo and Sega brought about.
I've reached 1998 so far... it's incredible how many of these games I've either owned or played at a friends house as a kid/teen. As far as I remember, I had fun with them, but appearently I could've had a lot more fun if I'd played something else 🤔
WAIT WHAT THIS LIST IS HUGE. I will watch in pieces. Congrats on accomplishmening it this is the longest list you guys ever done! But what about going up to the latest full year of 2022?
I know a lot about the games you guys are talking about. The shooter with the old man on the cover has to do with a commercial from the 90s. The old man talks about his childhood when he was a space pirate or something like that and is still young and what he has experienced and these flashbacks are shown in the game while he himself is quickly an old man and lives on the ranch as he is on the cover you sees.
Balloon Kid is pretty fun, better than the similar mode in the NES game Revenge of the Gator is one of the best pinball games for the system Didn't watch the rest
If you've never edited videos before I don't think you understand how much work goes into a single 15 minute basic list video, let alone 7 whole hours. Great job!
I remember "revenge of the gator", it was my first game. It was sold on bundle with a game boy + tetris. Not my favorite game but I can hardly forget because it was my first experience as a gamer in 80's.
Me, at #3 on 1995: "YES! JUSTICE LEAGUE TASK FORCE! THAT WAS THE WORST! I didn't read DC Comics or watch any of the DC shows for years because this blighted my Christmas!!! TAKE THAT!!" Me, at #2 on 1995: "Aww, no, Tecmo's Secret of the Stars is nice... it's bad but in a nice way..."
Really though a lot of these games early on the list are actually quite good! Even today games like Alien Storm and Revenge of the Gator are fun to play!
Yep, did half of all the games in 1990 not actually get reviewed or something…because there are loads of games from that era that are worse than most of the games on the list.
@@tiredhippo82Actually yes. Or to be more precise they weren't reviewed enough to make it onto this list. Gaming mags had to juggle reviews, features, guides, and other things so they often wouldn't review many lesser releases. For those reviews you often had to go to the specific gaming mags for that console but those generally gave higher review scores overall since they were already biased in favour of the console (and were often published by the company itself). So even if these games did get enough reviews to qualify for the list there is a decent chance the biased reviews raised the score enough to keep them off the worst games list.
I must say, that I somehow managed to fart at the same time as the fart sound I didn't know was coming at the start of the Y2K section. Had to laugh and post about it
And suddenly before I even realized it, the video was over and it was the middle of the night. Well done, TripleJump. Side note, very very early on I heard mention of recommending Bards Tale. I have to back this recommendation, it's one of my favorite CRPGs from my youth
Are those Duke console games really that bad? Though they made ok... RING reviews from Mandalore was truly a piece of art, much like his Mystery of the Droods one. Why play bad game when you can watch someone else suffer? Cryo have a lot of games, still waiting for the re-release of Dark Earth....
It took a lot of hard work to put together 7 hours of video, and I would like to first say thank you for that. I enjoyed it because there were a lot of things I could relate to. However, I would like to point out that in this list, there are many games from SNES and Sega Genesis that are somewhat difficult to understand and label as 'worst game of the year'.
Ah, Galaxy Force II, or as myself and my friends used to call it, Starship Harrier... Seriously, replace the jetpack dude with a ship, and call it a new game?!?
What they forgot to mention during the Moonwalker segment is that certain copies of the game had Thriller while others didn't have it at all (if you're not sure about that, watch the AVGN review on Moonwalker)
I bought Beyond the Beyond when it first came out, having bought a PS because of FF 7 moving from the Nintendo. The reason I got it, and likely all the people who rated it, was, it was quite honestly the only RPG the first PS had when it came out, not a single game on the store's game wall even close to an RPG. One fun thing about the game was they stuck in a Japanese Easter egg gameplay feature, like their systems having a yell function to kill Pol's Voices in Zelda. In BtB, if you moved your controller in a certain way, you could have the protagonist's little dragon make an attack, as well.
I don't fully agree with this list: Columns III Moonwalker (Megadrive/Genesis) Alien Storm Fatal Labyrinth (I get the repetitive aspect since certain assets were just same. Still the roguelike aspect was good. Played the game through finally at some point. It was a great moment) Zero Wing 7th Quest King's Quest VII The 11th Hour Duke Nukem: Land of the Babes 7 Days to Die Generation Zero were not that bad. 7 Days to Die didn't get updates after point x (PC got and it was way better). We had a blast with the game for a long time but eventually we moved to PC version. Generation Zero had its issues at launch (or rather missing things like bicycle, fast travel, storage etc...) but it got better with some important updates. I still play the game to this day.
This is the perfect way to end my day! A nice, clean bong packed up with the most purple-colored skunk I've ever seen (and I'm old as heck so I've been around if you know what I mean😏), and a nice, long Triple Jump video to relax and unwind while watching. Man, after I eat these double bacon burgers my wife is making for dinner I'm going to fall asleep at my desk playing The Witcher 3! What a life I've got! Have a great day everyone!!!

Moonwalker at 5 for 1990 was enough to void all these lists
According to the AVGN review on Moonwalker, some copies of that game had Thriller while others don't
Thanks for this compilation! Much love to you and all of the walrus clan 🧡
1:51:37 showing the Saturn box while saying it was released for the PC, whilst totally ignoring the Saturn port, that messed my brain a bit.
YASSSSSSSSSS TripleJump, live hours long videos! Even tho it must take AGES to make, they make tons happy 🤙🏻
OH YEAH, HERE WE GO! LIST TIME!
I'm gonna sit here and have this on in the background whilst videogaming and give this all I've got!
I managed to partially watch but definitely listen to this banger in its entirety while at work. 😂
Helping me through my work day, thank you!!
I can only imagine the hours of research you guys must have put in for this video.
3:30 am: im so bored i wanna watch something interesting before bed!
"Wow 300 bad games?? Cool!"
-sees nearly 7 hour playtime-
did i say bed?
Ah, Galaxy Force II, or as myself and my friends used to call it, Starship Harrier... Seriously, replace the jetpack dude with a ship, and call it a new game?!?
This video made me want to pick up "Soda Drinker PRO!". Look what you did, Triple Jump
Really appreciate long lists I can put on. Thank you!
"Deadly arts. . . more like. . . Deadly FARTS!!"
A 7 hour video!!! The commitment from some UA-cam channels is INSANE now
I farted
Double Dragon 1 has a run option by pressing forward twice or 3 times and holding it.
One of the channels i enjoy most while i unwind for the day
What they forgot to mention during the Moonwalker segment is that certain copies of the game had Thriller while others didn't have it at all (if you're not sure about that, watch the AVGN review on Moonwalker)
I'd got the words "All your base are belong to us.." out before you had even finished saying the words Zero Wing Ashton. lol
I unironically love the word “plops” as an adjective now
Will you any worst games before: 1990 or of the 1970's or 1980's?
40;28 the way you said you didn't know what earing Ken was is so dirty. i had to take bath after wards
This is going to relax me tonight and for many nights to come
Talk about a stroll down memory lane lol. Im actually old enough to remember something from every year lol.
Best 7 hr in my life
I bought Beyond the Beyond when it first came out, having bought a PS because of FF 7 moving from the Nintendo.
*Grabs popcorn*
*Sees runtime*
*Grabs Popcorn Machine*
Let's go.
I was thinking about how great Darius Twin is during the Super R Type section and 2 entries later I became very sad lol.
I don't fully agree with this list:
Columns III
Moonwalker (Megadrive/Genesis)
Alien Storm
Fatal Labyrinth (I get the repetitive aspect since certain assets were just same. Still the roguelike aspect was good. Played the game through finally at some point. It was a great moment)
Zero Wing
7th Quest
King's Quest VII
The 11th Hour
Duke Nukem: Land of the Babes
7 Days to Die
Generation Zero were not that bad.
Fantastic, a list to finish by Christmas
Michael Jackson saving kids from Mr. Big? Talk about going from the frying pan into the fire.
There's actually a lot of bangers on these lists!
Kung Fu Rider was awesome! It was super fun and enjoyable and my friends had a great laugh watching me play! Don’t know why it’s on the list!
