    I think in order To(CO)6 should be in second position in decreasing order ,,,please ans

      Ti complex where are the 2 anion?
      Also order is right. But negative charge on Vanadium will effect frequency ?
      Because Ti has only one electron so it should have atleast pair of electron to do back bonding. So therefore it's of lower order

    I just concluded that
    Ti (CO)6 has lower stretching frequently because it possess no back bonding.
    Because of d1 system
    As 6×2 = 12 Carbonyl electron
    2s2 d1 = 3 electron /18
    3+12 e/18
    15/18
    Ti complex do not follow the 18 rule how it will form because it is unstable

      I think mam forgot something it may be 2- electron present.so -ve charge increase pi backbonding so lower vibrational stretching frequency...

      madhu arora, note that the electron count cant tell us about the existence or absence of the bridging carbonyls. This has to found from the experiment

    mam Tico6 will be on 2nd postion here its having less d electrons and poor back bonding here ..i tnk [TI(CO)6]-2 HAVE less but here u wrote TICO6
