Fantastic performance, and incredible production. Always loved John's work, but this beats everything, it feels like bringing back innocence to the music production and engineering, all focused around performance and delivery. Can't wait for more.
I think John Cuniberti might be the single best salesman for the R88... I mean after hearing how great these recordings sound, how could you not just run out and buy one?
My ears hear more in these recordings than they do with other songs with high track counts. Have really enjoyed listening to all the recordings in this series. Mixing with musicians and proximity in the room definitely the way to go for the organic sound. Love it.
This is so much better than any multi-tracked session. Sounds so organic and REAL. All about performance and not micro timing every beat an note until the performance has been destroyed. Love it
A wonderful performance and a beautiful sound. I think the one mic Blumlein technique sounds so good because the spatial positioning in the panorama is consistent with the room's reflections. In the sense that Bob Katz writes in his book: you should think beyond the panorama control. Of course, such recordings can only be made with excellent musicians. And when you record in one take, you notice how great the musicians make music together. Bravo!
@@onemic-theminimalist with pleasure. I love listening real sound as art ...its rare in this days....just seeing the combo Millennia tube , RCA Stereo ribbon, HD650...and the conception of the recs i already enjoy and aft listening to the sound quality dynamics and "sound image" i really really liked a lot! Bravo
Incredble!!! Great performance!! How the equilibrium of the band can be very well done to listen. The PAN between the guitars is very pronounced. SG guitar on Tonemaster is on left side and the stratocaster on right but i can't see the strat amp. Maybe close to the camera man. I love the drum sound too, you often put something in front of bassdrum....anyway thanks for post this great work!! Sorry my english :-)
Not sure what amp Shane was using. I normally put the bass cabinet in front of the kick drum and ask the drummer to hit it. I adjust the level and EQ of the bass amp to make one big boom like you might when you are mixing.
ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!!!!!! ❤❤❤
Thank you! Cheers!
This my favorite song of yours and just an incredible recording here.
Thank you LavaMan - It was a joy making this recording with them.
NO, ABSOLUTELY FREAKING AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you Deependguitar!
the fact that this is done with only 1 mic (2 capsule) is made me goosebump
Thank you for watching, glad you dig it.
When the drums came in...HOT DAMN! I love this series!

No doubt AEA has benefited from my videos.
@@onemic-theminimalist AEA themselves recommended that I check out your channel, so they greatly appreciate what you’re doing!
Love this! Real music, hard to find these days...The drums sure sound good in that room!
Thank You Erik - very happy to hear you dig it.
Thanks Erik!
Engaging is the word and the feeling! I really appreciate it! Keep up the series, it's awesome!
Thank you! Will do!

It was an incredible experience. We LOVED being a part of the OneMic Series! Thanks for your support, Jon!
Thank, you really get it!
Yeah! Give me the Real! I'd rather hear Jagger belt it than than someone doing 200 takes to get it "perfect" (and losing soul along the way).
Wow! This song is fantastic, great performance! I love this recording method. More!
Thanks so much!! :)
The Lord succeeds.
Exodus Chapter 15 verse 3. The Lord is a man of war. The Lord is his name.
Love it!
OK

Look up an artist named TRISTEN. I stumbled upon her live videos and thought she'd be a perfect candidate for the OneMic series.
Awesome job once again! We love you guys!

So, this is 3614 Jackson Highway?
Yes
What preamp and converter are you using? Sounds great!
Millennia HV-3C preamp / at this studio I believe they had Antelope Audio converters.
Thanks!
Fantastic! Great job by both band and recording engineer. Love this series.
Are you using any compression or limiting in the recording chain? Thanks.
not in the record chain - just some in mastering
Keep the recording aside.. This is a great performance of that tune... 👌
Thank you Jill.
Patterson Hood on the drums?
