On Saturday (10/26/24) I drove fom Pittsburgh, PA to Delaware Water Gap, NJ. I dayhiked the part of the AT that you finished going northbound and WILL FINISH (I believe in you) going southbound. It was cool to walk across the state line on that bridge that you filmed. And I'm anxiously waiting to see the video of you coming down that final hill into Delaware Water Gap on your last day.
Been catching up on your posts. You are such a friendly interesting hiker to have followed. Love when you sing. Amazed you have such wide song library. I have to go back count the trail mishaps and falls you have endured. They are many as you well know😞. You have determination and grit which will always serve you well in any endeavor you chose. Mozy on down the trail.
Can you use your tent like a bivy bag or hang it from shelter rafters with cord for a little extra warmth? Maybe it’s warmed up and you’re nearly done so not worth considering. Doing great Mosey!
I was just thinking about mentioning wet, and especially snow/ice covered wood and how slippery it can be and the next thing I see is you laying on your pack. The same goes for rocks. I'm sure you've figured this out by now. As somebody who has never been a quilt camper (always a sleeping bag), I've been wondering how your quilt has been serving you? That being said, I do have a 10*F hand-made quilt from UGQ Outdoors coming that should be shipping to me any day now. I've said it before; "What a stunning time to be in the outdoors". Hike on, Mosey!
Sorry you fell on your tailbone again. Super painful. Smart to stop at the shelter. When you’re tired you’re more likely to get hurt. Nice day though.😊❤

Use spikes for friggin sake! They could help you if you let them.
very wise not to walk on the snow covered planks.
