    I wish the Misty Mountains theme would have remained the main theme for the Hobbit. It never showed up in Desolation of Smaug or The Battle of the five Armies. I think it's a very strong theme that would have deserved a spot in movies 2 and 3.

      I totally agree with you. I don't know why Shore (or the directors) completely abandoned this great theme in the last two Hobbit movies. As you say, it is a strong theme. It's very dwarfish and adventurous.

    • @JavertRA
      @JavertRA 5 років тому +14

      I think in the 3rd one it didn't really need to be used because it was about their journey (though they could play a soft version (like the intro here), but in the second film it would have brilliant if it had played as they reached the mountain.

    • @markipliernumber1stan
      @markipliernumber1stan 4 роки тому +5

      It really wouldn't have fit in any where else. It served it's purpose in the book and movie the one time. I do agree with you about how it was a great song though.

    • @XXensational
      @XXensational 4 роки тому +3

      The Misty Mountains theme wasn’t written by Shore. I think he wanted to get rid of the tune and feature his own themes for the dwarves. It amazes me how he took the theme in the first film and made it sound like his own by using different kinds of orchestrations. That’s real talent.

    I rarely comment on videos, but yours deserves it. As a film score fanatic, I truly appreciate what you are doing here. I think its quite a gift to be able to craft together different pieces and themes. What you did with the Shire theme is incredible, and it shows how well crafted music can truly express the beauty and glory of the place its describing. I love the recurrence of the misty mountain theme, how you crafted it into a very driving and forceful motif, and how you presented the Audiomachine music to create this great buildup in the middle of track. The reverence of the Last Goodbye is extraordinarily epic, and the orchestration is impeccable (the french horns/strings, how it drives forcefully right into the choir) and how it resolves uneasily to fall right into the Nazgul theme, finally resolving on the Erebor theme. This incredibly good work. Again I can't put into words how impressed I am with your orchestration, your choice of instrumentation, the modifications you made to each of them to create this truly epic piece. I wish I had your talent and understanding of the software that you are using, because it would be very fulfilling to create pieces like this that pay such great homage to the people that created them. I get piercing, powerful goosebumps when I listen to your music, which is my own measure of how incredibly good instrumental music affects me. Please continue to create more of these gems. I am now a true fan of your talent.

I know that e.g. some girl which does makeup videos with a shitty camera and the workload of a few hours, sometimes gets way more views than a video of mine cause she exactly does so.. But I don't want to do that, even if it means less views. I will always keep my modesty. I'd rather have a handful of true fans then a ton of pretending dumbasses. I'll try to convince with the quality of my work and not by promotion. But I really appreciate your comment Lion's Mane TV!

    I have heard many medleys and remixes of the Hobbit soundtrack, but none of them took my ears' virginity... until now.
    I have to say, I am impressed in every way and I've been hitting the replay button many times.
    A suggestion for what to work on in the future: Bionicle. Sure it's a once-dead and now rebooted LEGO action figure series, but it is my childhood, and it has a great story. You can take cues from online games, video games, promotional music by Cryoshell, and a great movie trilogy, whose amazing soundtrack was composed by Nathan Furst.

    Awesome, all of your work! do lotr as well! (Gondor, Rohan, elvish themes, all good resource) :P I love you for using the third hobbit movie end credits song in the end of your track!!! Very nice and beautiful theme it has, and the way you implement it into your music is phenomenal! :P

    I mean, who the hell would feel obligated to dislike this? This mix could end up being the song played as my requiem, God.

    You've done some amazing covers, but this one blows me away like no other! I keep coming back to it, and every time the magic grabs me again. The transitions are so smooth and the music elevates the soul. I know this has been said by other commenters, but it would be incredible if you did a full orchestral cover of "The Last Goodbye."

    That part in the 'The Hobbit' where the dwarfs are making their way up the hill to Erebor, I've always wanted to hear more of that theme and man you've hit it on the head. A year late but wicked job man

    God bless the moment one of your covers showed up on my feed. As a Tolkien fan myself, I absolutely adored this. I could just hear the trailer soundtracks you've used, the parts you've added to make it unique and incredible and the main track and everything... This, man this, is art. Good work. I honestly cannot stop listening to this music!!! You have done a remarkable job and i love how each part of it encapsulates the different sounds of middle earth, strong and bold for the dwarves, light and delicate for the elves, etc.
    As a huge Tolkien fan and lover of the films, I genuinely believe this is so wonderful that it could have been used in the films themselves.
    actually gave me goosebumps and at several points made me well up with tears (in a good way) :)
    (Also, an excellent song for listening to when you're walking through woodland on a sunny day)
