I'm also from El Paso. We are so lucky and blessed to have a Traditional Catholic Church right here in El Paso. Immaculate Conception church downtown. Warning.. you'll never go back to the Novus Ordo mass. Go to the high mass at 10:00 am 💗

My first Latin Mass was in Immaculate Conception Church (118 Campbell St). However, my home away from home is Jesus and Mary Roman Catholic Chapel in El Paso, TX (1401 W. Yandel Dr). The High Mass is Epic, lol! I think the only problem with this Chapel is deciding which priest to listen to. So, I used to go 3 Sundays to High Mass and 1 Sunday to Low Mass. I don't use the word love very often but I love the priests! Also, Fr. Alphonsus Maria C.SS.R does talks there every year, hopefully this hasn't changed.
Something to note, the Immaculate does offer Spanish homily, but let's just say, you can really tell Spanish is not his second language, sometimes hard to understand but God Bless the Priest for trying. If Spanish is all I knew, I would go to this Mass. Either Chapel though some of the people are bilingual. Lastly, Jesus and Mary has a Catholic Bookstore after Mass, highly recommend! So, try both and see which one benefits you the most.
I do not find SSPX to be automatically better than FSSP. In Dallas I prefer FSSP Chapel, Mater Dei. In Tampa, I attend the Epiphany of Our Lord which is independent diocesan (I believe).

I grew up with the latin Mass but was so happy when I could worship during Mass in English. I listened to every word the priest were praying and my devotion became stronger. Also my younger sisters who could not read the missals began to pay more attention during mass. Also what a joy to be able to sing during mass instead of just hearing the choir singing in Latin. I don't go to Mass to be entertained or be a spectator but to worship God. I am a mature Catholic and have the deepest respect for the office of the priesthood. I recognize the gift of consecration that they use to provide us with Jesus in the Eucharist. When I die God will not be concerned about did I worship in Latin or in English

Sadly, it wasn’t just the language that was changed. It’s most of the prayers, stripping down of the sacrifice, the saints, the BVM, etc. It is estimated that at least 70% of the prayers in the TLM were changed, all to not offend Protestants. At the TLM, you can follow the Missal which is in Latin with English translations. The Epistle, Gospel and homily are read in the vernacular. The priest is in persona Christi, offering the Sacrifice of the Mass to God. It isn’t about us, and there’s a beauty and reverence to the mystery of the Mass at the TLM. And there’s nothing wrong with learning a little Latin! The NO is man-centered, not Christ-centered. It was changed specifically to water down the Catholic Faith. Latin is set aside and is a holy language, perfect for the Sacrifice of the Mass.

      Priscilla,
God be with you. Your argument is very Protestant-like. God in my terms. I prefer Evangelical because I can rock out to Jesus, or I like Pentecostal because the Holy Spirit is actually present. The Latin Mass is not about the language; it is about the Rite. I just started Bible in a Year with Fr. Mike, and wow how important is the way to worship the way God wants. Maybe watching these videos will explain better than I can. Either way, pray for Our Pope that he leave his arrogance and disdain for the Traditions of the Church, despite his outward humility and pray for the Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart.

Stock up on St Benedict's medals to place over every door and window at home and the 4 corners of the property.
After having a traditional priest bless them in the old rite. This is done to protect your dwelling from any evil spirit accessing your home. Most importantly wear the blessed St Benedict medal. Way too many evil going on in the world. I would not take any chances.

  • @userPs91victory

Agree Father Rodriguez. If the Medal was purchased in a “unholy” place it will be problematic for the wearer, and as you said it should be burned in a field (preferably with one drop of petrol) and burried in the grounds or discarded into in the ocean. But if it was bought in a holy place that sells religious items beneficial to the faithful, agree it should be blessed and reblessed copiously by a Priest. St. Benedict of Nursia medal as well as other saints notorious to give a good beating to the devil are also being used by other people who don’t belong to a church ⛪️. I may be wrong but I believe these people automatically put a curse on themselves without knowing it, and to the people they give these medals to. This is why if any religious used items are left in church please don’t pick it up. Leave it for The Priest who definitely has the discernment of spiritual guidance and understanding to get rid of it. And also when wearing these sacred objects they must be aligned with their purpose and the person’s behaviour. E.g., Cannot wear these sacred object blessed by a Priest and watch pornography, and the list is long….
Thank you Father Rodriguez I would love to visit your church in El Passo, Texas. May you be blessed abundantly by the Almighty God.

I have seen advertised what appears to be a saint Benedict crucifix but on closer inspection the foot of the cross has an engraved upside down cross and Jesus feet are shaped together to form a very obvious snake head. The crucifix also has spikes around the benedict medal but I couldn't tell if the writing was the same as a saint Benedict medal. The author also had an upside down crucifix driven into the skull of a goat with horns as his profile picture and one potential customer asked him about it and he said it was meant to be a sword killing the demon. I've also seen a video where Satanists were making rosary beads that look normal but then the crucifix is again with Egyptian pose on the cross sun symbols and hands and feet like snake heads. I think it is important to check the website before purchase but not sure if they are cursed. I have a crucifix where Jesus head is falling the wrong way but I think this one was simply accidental in its design. A real cursed object is like a steam train in your life - you will know something is different pretty quickly - believe me.
    Thank you Father.

Always get religious object from reputable Catholic stores. But steer away from things that may be linked with shady stuff. When in doubt ask a traditional priest. Some online stores have a seemingly Christian facade and as you scroll you sea demons and dragon statues. Run!!!

When we purchase a sacramental, we always should have them blessed. Even if it is an old medal and blessed years ago, once the item is sold, the blessing leaves as they cannot be bought. I often see people who may not know better, selling items and using the fact that they have been blessed as a selling point. Wrong.
If someone gives a medal to us, unless they are trusted Trad friends or relatives who say it has been blessed, we should ask our Trad priest to bless it right away.

Can't one just ask a Novus Ordo priest to bless sacramentals using the Roman Rite?

In my experience in the novus ordo only very old priests were able to bless objects in the old rite that is because they were ordained before vatican 2. Otherwise I got a quick sign of the cross and ta ta. Not good! Thank God for the SSPX.

@andreasm1 I have one of those, with the actual exorcism prayer attached to it.

    • @lancermitsubishi2179
      @lancermitsubishi2179 2 роки тому

@andreasm1 i know it too. You can actually sing it. The problem is it still needs to be blessed in the old rite by a priest ordained in the old rite! Trust me,if it was not properly blessed demons can make it fly. If it has been blessed the proper way (including the prayer of exorcism in the old rite) demons will flee! They CANNOT stand blessed objects. That and recitation of the rosary said with complete devotion is like whipping them!! Because Our Lady is present at its recitation with devotion!! Then you could add the Chaplet of St Michael. Sacramentals are very powerful when we invoke heaven through them with UTTER DEVOTION!!

Father, I'm elderly and cannot get to a TLM MASS. I grew up with TLM. My NO church is reverent, but listening to so many negative messages regarding the NO mass, perhaps I need to stop going to church altogether.

Some traditional priest may recommend not going to N.O. However, as a lay person. I would recommend to continue to go and pray for the TLM or watch online. Personally I watch Sacred Heart in Limerick (Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest). The reason for this is the N.O. Mass is still valid. Although, still doesn't give it the praise it deserves. And as Father Says Lex Orandi, Lex Credendi is the major issue with 2/3 of American Catholics not believing in the Holy Presence.
Our Lord said prayer and action, so they to get at least 2 or 3 more people to sign a petition. A bishop cannot ignore a petition of 3 or more people. It could be as simple as Dear Bishop ______, I am __________. I would like to know if our Diocese offers a Tridentine Latin Mass. If not, would it be within your merciful governance to provide a few faithful with this beautiful form of administering the Sacraments. Humbly Yours, _________
I would start something simple like this. A paragraph is good enough.

@@arlowosgerau5830 my church is reverent- thank God. There is a church downtown that offers TLM. I can’t get to it. My parish has 2 retired priests that “help” out and one priest- elderly with physical limitations that takes care of two churches and oversees 2 Catholic schools. He does ALL funerals, weddings, and baptisms. I would love going to a TLM, but that said, not all NO masses are felt banners and irreverent. God Bless🙏🙏

@@michelemcdermott75 I'm guessing you were being sarcastic when gou said "you need to stop going to Church altogether." I was only expressing concern for you. As I've already expressed in this video it's more about the lex credendi and lex orandi, than the intentional reverence. Maybe your priest can try the praying the Latin Mass, to see if there maybe is a spiritual difference. I know there is a UA-cam documentary on the TLM, where priests were like woah this is totally different.

@@arlowosgerau5830 Not sarcastic- my priest has more than what he can handle on his plate. One can get so depressed about TLM or nothing…I feel so bad about devout Catholics made to feel inferior because all they have near them are NO parishes. Taylor Marshall (and I really like him) make it sound like all NO parishes have felt banners and dancing priests. Anyway, no sarcasm ever intended, but lots of discouragement on my end! 😢

@@michelemcdermott75 Dear sister in Christ, I think it's important to persevere in going to mass even if the NO is the only option. Our Lord knows that you'd rather worship at the TLM if you could, so He is not displeased by your offering. Those who have access to the TLM must guard against pride and lack of charity towards others that are not as fortunate. Thankfully your NO is reverent and we, of course, have access to so much great Catholic content online as well♥️🙏
