Glad you like our Aladdin Autovent valves we enjoyed your film. The U key can also be used to remove the cartridge at the end of the valve's life that way you don't need to replace the whole valve just the cartridge in the middle with this version of the valve. Once removed the housing will seal so there is no need to isolate the radiator simply replace the cartridge .
Good video, I have the same towel rad and auto vent, the vent is an excellent design and works brilliantly totally automatic air venting 👍, if you rotate the shut off valves inwards the rad will look a lot neater and it saves the valves from getting banged about.
Simply does not vent air, fitted a year ago and had to be removed for a manual valve. Was manually opened and vast amounts of air removed 3 times over the year.
If you have a very dirty system or have added leak sealer then the valve clogs up quickly. So always best to add these after you have flushed your system. The cartridges on the C type valves can be replaced. If you think they are faulty they can be replaced under the year warranty. There are some fake valves around offering 2yr warranty that come with white and green packaging rather than the genuine blue packaging so beware cheap deals.
aladdin hg30 is cartridgeless and hg30c are the replable cartidges i beilieve.got mine of Essential Shopping on Amazon, type B07PTRP7X3 into search box and it's £14 for pack of 2. I think they work but takes a bit of time Think the device has to get dry (air) then it releases .I have still had to govaround manually venting after a flush.
Thank you chaps, I'm the Frank Spencer of diy but I reckon I can tackle that now.

Thanks for your comment and advice, handy information for everybody. These valves are great little things.
Hey I’m looking to order that exact one,
Does anyone know the model number?
Thanks
how long this valve last then?
@@volatileacid not long. every one i've ever fitted has failed. Stopped bothering even replacing the cartridges now.

Next time we install one we'll do this, this was a bit of hassle to install for a few reasons. Definitely worth using this valves though.
does the wee small green valve thing meant to be tight in or do you push it out before installing
Who are these Laurel & Hardy characters?
rude, just made the video to help others

Interesting but please keep that camera more under control. One gets seasick with all that camera movement!
Thanks, I do try my best but it's shot on an iPhone and not professional kit .
The rad is the wrong way round
Why don’t you loosen the rad valves of slightly and turn them 90 deg so as they are under the towel rail saves knocking you ankles on them
you can do that
Just moved house and there's x2 Aladdin Ladders radiators thanks..... but no U key any where (typical)
The u key is used to take the inner cartridge out as they don't last forever, you take the inner cartridge out and you can buy replacements
Thanks for the information.
@@DanielJohnHowTo no probs mate
