I have aspire sports too and I installed it just before 1000km. No problems at all. if you are worried for engine, use xado new car additive available on amazon for 2310rs. It works for 100000km. I also upgraded the tyres to continental mcp5 205width.
What if It would increase the smoke level from the factory setting which may spoil the turbo sooner, since the factory setting are optimised for safer engine doesn't it ? Correct me if I'm wrong..and what would be the top speed.. does it increase ?
It has a garett GT1241Z turbo..it is safely rated for 130 hp ...turbos r not as much affected by smoke...as much as they are affected by EGT..plus you need to think of turbo boost and injector pressure...this kit works well within safe limits...a happy user over past 30k kms...!!

Shashank - This is very very interesting and I would go for it as I usually do trips in excess of 350 Kms to hills and other states. My question to RaceDynamics - Will you train me to remove the the box when I need to get the car serviced and then install the box again?Also, I have an extended 3 year (total 5 years) warranty on my vehicle till Sep 2021 - you do claim that this would leave no trace. My question is what if it does even after I remove the box - will you pay for any part that should have been under warranty? Are you willing to give this in writing?

No need to remove it. I have it installed in such a manner that it is not visible easily when you open the bonnet. I got it installed in delhi kashmeri gate. I never removed it when going to service and no one bothers to null your warranty after all you are there client.

TECHIE MOTORIST Hello..It is listed on RD website but you will need to purchase from Dealer. Selling for 26K right now in Delhi. As installation is not straightforward in Ford cars, it is recommended to get it installed from a trained person/dealer only.
Shashank, you yourself said that some tuners could get maximum of 125 bhp from this engine. Provided that racedynamics takes factor of safety more than any random tuner, I strongly feel that the claim of 128 bhp is hypothetical and I have argued with racedynamics about the power increase and they never said a bit about it as they dont have any dyno test data. In my opinion, the power gains are in the range of 15 bhp ie 15 pecent.
Hi Green life... my 128 bhp power figure is based out of the acceleration data that I compiled before n after dieseltronic... I have a video on how can you calculate the car bhp based on this data... see it here.. ua-cam.com/video/s6GYO5kiFvs/v-deo.html . ... based on the comparison I did.. I did some calculations and it is easily 125-128 bhp in P2 mode... for e.g. if u go through my 0-160 video in stock was 29 seconds and it reduced to 21.5 seconds in P2... now that itself is 7.5 seconds or more than 30 % improvement.... also 140-160 in 5th gear which used to take 10 seconds or more reduced to 7 seconds...that's again 30%.. acceleration wont increase without a bump in power.....all in my videos...!! I can give u a test ride if u wish :) hope that helps...!!

done 13000 kms till now...2 servicing ...lots of road trips (2000 +kms)...and no issues as such..but i service every 7000 kms...not 10000 kms as asked...!!
you know what, I drove the car for more than 1000 km straight(including some tea and dinner brakes) in one night and few more hours and to my surprise, the distance to empty figure on full tank were over 1200 km.
ooppss....didnt get that...are you saying that after driving 1000 kms...still 1200 kms were left... ? that's an insane 2200 kms of range..for a 40 liter tank..that 55kmpl... seems impossible for a car.... or maybe I am mistaken....maybe u can add more info here.... either way... u r very gentle with ur throttle... :)
shashank , after driving more than 1000km and filling in between also when I again refilled the tank, the distance to empty figure ON A FULL TANK showed more than 1200km.
That's around 27kpl or so considering the fact that u have dieseltronic and it gives around 10% error in fuel efficiency figures...27 kpl seems real ...but I bet that you typically drive in the 80-100 kph zone and drive easy... is it so ?
shashank I drove mostly at night. I drove in between 90-110. I could have found the exact mileage if I knew that trip meter has some automatic reset interval. ,😑

Also I think that the Ford abs are little early to come in effect as it unnecessarily comes to work when there is still enough grip left in tyres. How to overcome it? Some firmware upgrade may be?
that's true..u got it quite right..it kicks in too early...i was also sad...it wasnt worth upgrading my brake pads as the abs wud kick in anyway... I think an upgrade shud fix it but haven't come across anyone who claims to do that yet...!!

your warranty will get void if you go to the service center with this kit installed..however..this never really gives an issue as it works within the factory limits....still in case if you have any issue, just remove the kit before taking it to service center.

I contacted the dealer in Madhapur... luks like its changed now as it doesnt appear any more on their map... anyway I got it all done for 24.5k..!! incl. install... if u buy online ..they charge anything for instal.. I was asked 2k for install.... which is insane...the problem is the install is very very tricky for ford figo/ecosport.... as u have to remove battery.ecu ..to get to the turbo snesor... so I suggest u buy it from dealer... and then get it installed..they shud do it fr free... remote..just press the mode u want..thats it...no way to know which mode the car is in.... no blinks on remote...maybe something in ECu but it sits under the bonnet,..just press the mode u want to be in..thats easy :P.... you still using it? i bought a single channel for my ritz vdi Its not even 1000kms.. and there is increase in black smoke from the exhaust, specially in p2 mode Have you faced any problems regarding black smoke in the dual one And will a K&N air filter solve my problem?
single channel has issues in P2 mode as it doesn't modulate the turbo...but then it is widely used in 1.3 ddis engine without major issues..so u shud be good....K&N filter..might help to solve the issue a little bit by leaning out the mixture.....!! not much....!!

Kindly upgrade to Mobile1 0w40, i haven't have this somke problems till now have been driven over 50k after cleaning the EGR... Clean the air filter more often to get the best out of it

deepak, steering mount is more good when you have to film speedometer. In general, you should opt this one. I am using this one and this can be fixed on glass as well as on dashboard. @@nevilthomas446 By the ECU upgrade, we are pushing the engine to it's Max. Safe limit. So the engine will be running on higher load and theoretically will have a little reduced life. However, most of the times we never get to use the engine upto it's life and sell it before, unless the car is running as a taxi. If you buy a car with bigger engine and say 125 horsepower, it will be running in a much more relaxed state than a remapped 100 hp engine. Hope that explains..!!
I've had bad experience with diesel tronics before with my previous gen Figo..... These are bad for your car in the long run though they are fun....i removed it after about 20k kms on it. It's still lying around with me

hey..i found no issues whatsoever...as a user and also when I was researching the online blogs...didnt find any issues from other users...so I trust the product...however...my piece of advice wud be to save a bit more and go dual channel ecu...as dual channel plays with both ecu and turbo..the gains are much more than single channel....however..if ur use is limited to city driving conditions and tractability and linear nature of car is what u r after...dont think twice and buy the lite version...btw...u can wait for some offer..i have seen it reatailing for as long as 9.99k during some offer periods....!!

yes there is...but its quite expensive for the gains it brings... expect an 8% gain from just the ECU remap..so around 6-7 hp gain...but that will cost u around 30k....u might wanna try a free flow exhaust (20-25k) and a cold air intake for 10k..together with all of these..u might get 15-18% gain...so around 12-15 hp.... in petrol i10...!! but u might end up spedning 70-80k....!!

Hi Sriram,,,no the top speed didnt increase. for that I need to remap/open the ECU software and go overwrite the speed limiter. Dieseltronic doesnt meddle with ECU so It didnt change the top speed. however, there is a catch. most of the SOHC/Single turbo diesels stop making any useful power after 4000 RPM, and it already crosses 4000 RPM at 185-190... so even if we remove the speed limiter..there is not much scope for top speed increase untill we put a sixth gear...!!
hey...the top speed limiter is not removed..so top speed is the same...185... however it gets there almost 15-20 seconds quicker now....!! the top speed limiter can be removed..but then i wont recommend it...as then to handle those speeds..u wud need a much better supension..anti roll bars..brakes..stronger chassis etc... otherwise it starts getting highly unsafe.... even now.. if u want...u wud be spending much more time in the 160-80 kph range than is alowed by the standard ecu...and i can feel that the car suspension is not so sorted w.r.t. changing lanes at those speed...so i wont go for anything higher anyway...
inayat king u mean Dieseltronic...yes it has 2 years warranty...but if the ford service centre gets to know...they will void the warranty on Ur car... U can remove it before giving it for service and reinstall it afterwards...or wait for warranty to be over before u replace it... shashank If required, the use of a tuning box can also be traced even if it's not there, ecu has the history and the difference in the fueling can be detected.
yeah....the traces lie in the fuelling errors and other sensor's inputs....and the way tuning box belies the ECU into thinking something else is going on the engine....but if the box ain't there...the service station cant prove it.... there are many TBhp blogs about the same...so need not worry...!!
It's not done by the service engineer, when there is a claim depending on the price tag, it will be considered too and done by the expert or the application. Btw, it can be done at the diagnosis application, remaps are being tracked in the background and getting updated on their server by some manufacturers
well...if all hell breaks loose on that one car and the best experts drop by...yes they will prove that the ECU was meddled with...but that is highly highly unlikely until something blows up in the engine...!! and all the error codes can be erased before service if u have ur own OBD tool...!! but I will say again...until it is found they cant drop the warranty claim... nor can the insurance company....telling this from experience in another event where I had crashed my maruti esteem...they tried to play games about my power steering..It meant me paying 60k extra from my pocket... but eventually they were outwitted...!!

Ford cars are worst..... They emit a lot of black smoke...... Service is extremely poor...... I own ford aspire..... I'm regretting buying...... U can check with other owners..... Smoke emission is very high....
plz get your filter n injector checked...a smoke comes out when either too much fuel or too little air...Ford is making cars much before all other indian manufacturer...they know a thing or two about it...so dont make generalizing statements

shashank My opinion remains same after seeing your comparison with remap and your understanding on remap. It makes a day n night difference the way the car behaves than a piggy backing box, fuel dumping doesn't make the whole difference. Btw, most of the best remaps are cheaper than what you have spent for the box

Also this engine is a single overhead cam with fgt...not like dohc 16valve vgt of VAG cars...!!anyway...chill... enjoy...!!
Pete's maps are waste. I am talking about major players and don't want to name specifically. Remaps are available for 20-24k (Duster). For small cars it's less too.

Shashank, you yourself said that some tuners could get maximum of 125 bhp from this engine. Provided that racedynamics takes factor of safety more than any random tuner, I strongly feel that the claim of 128 bhp is hypothetical and I have argued with racedynamics about the power increase and they never said a bit about it as they dont have any dyno test data. In my opinion, the power gains are in the range of 15 bhp ie 15 pecent.
Hi Green life... my 128 bhp power figure is based out of the acceleration data that I compiled before n after dieseltronic... I have a video on how can you calculate the car bhp based on this data... see it here.. ua-cam.com/video/s6GYO5kiFvs/v-deo.html . ... based on the comparison I did.. I did some calculations and it is easily 125-128 bhp in P2 mode... for e.g. if u go through my 0-160 video in stock was 29 seconds and it reduced to 21.5 seconds in P2... now that itself is 7.5 seconds or more than 30 % improvement.... also 140-160 in 5th gear which used to take 10 seconds or more reduced to 7 seconds...that's again 30%.. acceleration wont increase without a bump in power.....all in my videos...!! I can give u a test ride if u wish :)

done 13000 kms till now...2 servicing ...lots of road trips (2000 +kms)...and no issues as such..but i service every 7000 kms...not 10000 kms as asked...!!

you know what, I drove the car for more than 1000 km straight(including some tea and dinner brakes) in one night and few more hours and to my surprise, the distance to empty figure on full tank were over 1200 km.
ooppss....didnt get that...are you saying that after driving 1000 kms...still 1200 kms were left... ? that's an insane 2200 kms of range..for a 40 liter tank..that 55kmpl... seems impossible for a car.... or maybe I am mistaken....maybe u can add more info here.... either way... u r very gentle with ur throttle... :)
shashank , after driving more than 1000km and filling in between also when I again refilled the tank, the distance to empty figure ON A FULL TANK showed more than 1200km.
That's around 27kpl or so considering the fact that u have dieseltronic and it gives around 10% error in fuel efficiency figures...27 kpl seems real ...but I bet that you typically drive in the 80-100 kph zone and drive easy... is it so ?
shashank I drove mostly at night. I drove in between 90-110. I could have found the exact mileage if I knew that trip meter has some automatic reset interval. ,😑

Also I think that the Ford abs are little early to come in effect as it unnecessarily comes to work when there is still enough grip left in tyres. How to overcome it? Some firmware upgrade may be?
that's true..u got it quite right..it kicks in too early...i was also sad...it wasnt worth upgrading my brake pads as the abs wud kick in anyway... I think an upgrade shud fix it but haven't come across anyone who claims to do that yet...!!

I own a duster 2013 diesel and it's ECU is not working properly so I'm thinking of replacing it with Dieseltronic, can you please tell whether it's a individual unit or a support unit to the existing ECU?
It's not a standalone ECU, so it won't work if your ECU is giving problems...!!
what about the life of turbocharger, engine, warranty as I have 5 years extended warranty on my aspire tdci?
your warranty will get void if you go to the service center with this kit installed..however..this never really gives an issue as it works within the factory limits....still in case if you have any issue, just remove the kit before taking it to service center.

Except ford ecosport and endeavour all other vehicles from ford's stable in India emit more smoke (which is acceptable by CPCB) during hard throttle. With this kind of piggy back solutions it emits more smoke.

I own a figo titanium diesel and I’m from Hyderabad, very much interested in getting one dieseltronics installed on my car, saw the link you gave for dealers, I just wanted to know how much did it cost you to fix your dual channel kit so that I can negotiate accordingly, I’m interested in Dual channel kit and also just wanted to know how that remote to change modes work does it show some light blinking to show in which mode we are in currently like in P1, P2 etc.? And also in terms of pure numbers what would be the boost in terms of bhp? Would it be like 125 bhp in P2 mode?
Hey Trishul.. I contacted the dealer in Madhapur... luks like its changed now as it doesnt appear any more on their map... anyway I got it all done for 24.5k..!! incl. install... if u buy online ..they charge anything for instal.. I was asked 2k for install.... which is insane...the problem is the install is very very tricky for ford figo/ecosport.... as u have to remove battery.ecu ..to get to the turbo snesor... so I suggest u buy it from dealer... and then get it installed..they shud do it fr free... remote..just press the mode u want..thats it...no way to know which mode the car is in.... no blinks on remote...maybe something in ECu but it sits under the bonnet,..just press the mode u want to be in..thats easy :P.... single channel has issues in P2 mode as it doesn't modulate the turbo...but then it is widely used in 1.3 ddis engine without major issues..so u shud be good....K&N filter..might help to solve the issue a little bit by leaning out the mixture.....!! not much....!!

Kindly upgrade to Mobile1 0w40, i haven't have this somke problems till now have been driven over 50k after cleaning the EGR... Clean the air filter more often to get the best out of it

deepak, steering mount is more good when you have to film speedometer. In general, you should opt this one. I am using this one and this can be fixed on glass as well as on dashboard. @@nevilthomas446 By the ECU upgrade, we are pushing the engine to it's Max. Safe limit. So the engine will be running on higher load and theoretically will have a little reduced life. However, most of the times we never get to use the engine upto it's life and sell it before, unless the car is running as a taxi. If you buy a car with bigger engine and say 125 horsepower, it will be running in a much more relaxed state than a remapped 100 hp engine. Hope that explains..!!

I've had bad experience with diesel tronics before with my previous gen Figo..... These are bad for your car in the long run though they are fun....i removed it after about 20k kms on it. It's still lying around with me
i am sad for your experience...but maybe it was single channel 1st gen dieseltronic...now they are much better..!!

Dear shashank, where did you get the 128bhp figure? Kindly elaborate. Also what is the second box/relay thing just beside the dieseltronic kit at 0:46 . I am using the same dieseltronic box. I never use stock or p1. I just use p2 or sometimes economy mode.
hey...answered ur 128 bhp question in the other one....the other relay is for light..i use the 100/90 or 110/100....dont remember....bulbs...!!
shashank 100,90 bulbs are okay but you could have got there safely with philips extreme vision plus bulbs instead of this complex setup.

hey..i found no issues whatsoever...as a user and also when I was researching the online blogs...didnt find any issues from other users...so I trust the product...however...my piece of advice wud be to save a bit more and go dual channel ecu...as dual channel plays with both ecu and turbo..the gains are much more than single channel....however..if ur use is limited to city driving conditions and tractability and linear nature of car is what u r after...dont think twice and buy the lite version...btw...u can wait for some offer..i have seen it reatailing for as long as 9.99k during some offer periods....!!

Yes you can , but gains won't be as much on an NA engine..more like 6-8%...if club with intake and exhaust mods...one can expect ~15% gains...

yes there is...but its quite expensive for the gains it brings... expect an 8% gain from just the ECU remap..so around 6-7 hp gain...but that will cost u around 30k....u might wanna try a free flow exhaust (20-25k) and a cold air intake for 10k..together with all of these..u might get 15-18% gain...so around 12-15 hp.... in petrol i10...!! but u might end up spedning 70-80k....!!

Hi Sriram,,,no the top speed didnt increase. for that I need to remap/open the ECU software and go overwrite the speed limiter. Dieseltronic doesnt meddle with ECU so It didnt change the top speed. however, there is a catch. most of the SOHC/Single turbo diesels stop making any useful power after 4000 RPM, and it already crosses 4000 RPM at 185-190... so even if we remove the speed limiter..there is not much scope for top speed increase untill we put a sixth gear...!!

hey...the top speed limiter is not removed..so top speed is the same...185... however it gets there almost 15-20 seconds quicker now....!! the top speed limiter can be removed..but then i wont recommend it...as then to handle those speeds..u wud need a much better supension..anti roll bars..brakes..stronger chassis etc... otherwise it starts getting highly unsafe.... even now.. if u want...u wud be spending much more time in the 160-80 kph range than is alowed by the standard ecu...and i can feel that the car suspension is not so sorted w.r.t. changing lanes at those speed...so i wont go for anything higher anyway...

inayat king u mean Dieseltronic...yes it has 2 years warranty...but if the ford service centre gets to know...they will void the warranty on Ur car... U can remove it before giving it for service and reinstall it afterwards...or wait for warranty to be over before u replace it... If required, the use of a tuning box can also be traced even if it's not there, ecu has the history and the difference in the fueling can be detected.
yeah....the traces lie in the fuelling errors and other sensor's inputs....and the way tuning box belies the ECU into thinking something else is going on the engine....but if the box ain't there...the service station cant prove it.... there are many TBhp blogs about the same...so need not worry...!!
It's not done by the service engineer, when there is a claim depending on the price tag, it will be considered too and done by the expert or the application. Btw, it can be done at the diagnosis application, remaps are being tracked in the background and getting updated on their server by some manufacturers
well...if all hell breaks loose on that one car and the best experts drop by...yes they will prove that the ECU was meddled with...but that is highly highly unlikely until something blows up in the engine...!! and all the error codes can be erased before service if u have ur own OBD tool...!! but I will say again...until it is found they cant drop the warranty claim... nor can the insurance company....telling this from experience in another event where I had crashed my maruti esteem...they tried to play games about my power steering..It meant me paying 60k extra from my pocket... but eventually they were outwitted...!!

My opinion remains same after seeing your comparison with remap and your understanding on remap. It makes a day n night difference the way the car behaves than a piggy backing box, fuel dumping doesn't make the whole difference. Btw, most of the best remaps are cheaper than what you have spent for the box

Also this engine is a single overhead cam with fgt...not like dohc 16valve vgt of VAG cars...!!anyway...chill... enjoy...!!
Pete's maps are waste. I am talking about major players and don't want to name specifically. Remaps are available for 20-24k (Duster). For small cars it's less too.
