How much a diesel car can return? We find out in our exciting journey from Bangalore to Mumbai in this fuel economy marathon with new Ford Figo Aspire. We completed the journey of 994km over 21 hours to set a new fuel economy record. Check out our video here.
I bought Aspire diesel Trend, its an awesome car. The feel of driving the car is just too good. Mileage in city is 19 and on highway getting around 26-28 both on AC. The highest I feel with such an easy ans amazing driving experience. BEST CAR IN INDIA at present.

I own the aspire and I am not gonna lie about this that from bombay to bhavnagar in gujrat...which is a 630km trip...i got an average of 31kmpl with ac on half of the time that is.....with speeds of upto 80-100...seriously this car is a major underdog and feeling proud to own one

car runs good,proper mileage,enough room and everything is better,except for after sales services ford sucks big time in that sector....but let me ensure you in 4 meter sedan segment this car is better than anyother car....I have driven other cars as well but after this cars ownership experience ill say aspire rules!
Actually I am from Mumbai, Bhavnagar is my native so I have no idea about it.
I do have new figo,Its give me avg of 15kmpl only.....Dikhave pe mat jao apni akal lagao.
I recently took a test drive of a figo and guess what, it had the best interior feel and 1.5L engine just floored me with power. Maaaannnn, they have a winner on hand. Hell with the 1.3L underpowered Suzuki Baleno.

Bought this car same color same model and no .....it's not for the mileage, but for the gem of an engine! it's both brutal on power and frugal on appetite, depending how u drive.

Am a proud owner of New Ford Figo Titatinum Plus TDCi. Really its an excellent VFM car. I can say Ford is now trying a lot to make a customer feel like family by giving an excellent service. Here in HYD, the service guys are really good. So issues so far. The only -ve is the very minor rattles in rough roads. The 1.5 TDCi engine brings a verrrry big smile on your face, the every-time you floor it.

I have a Ford Figo Petrol and it returns 14-15kmpl on highways. I'm still happy with it. Ride comfort and performance are top notch.

When I was a novice at driving, I drove (much carefully) figo petrol 2016 early morning from delhi to chandigarh at max speed of 90-95kmph and got a mileage of 21.5kmpl. Now a days, I drive faster and still gets 18-19kmpl on highways.
i aslo got awarded by Shubham ford after gave me 33+ kmph in just 623 km.. maxx average in north india.. after that i got 37.8 kmph in just 623 km.

Guys the average speed he maintained is 45-50. On a national highway take any car(diesel), maintain speed between 45-50, don't rev up the engine hard, be gentle on the accelerator, then you would get very good fuel economy. You can achieve 45kmpl on swift. But believe me guys ford is a nice car. The quality is good compared to Maruthi, the sound system and ac in fords are very good, but the only drawback is ford doesn't have very good resale value.

Hey swift shows 30kmpl max in coasting on instantaneous fuel consumption... u couldn't get... this much... I believe in ford., coz it deserves...
I believe new Ford Aspire car price is less than the new SWIFT model, so the resale value might be less for FORD compared with Maruti.
Should have tried this marathon test for other competitors ( dzire, xcent, amaze, zest) in the compact sedan segment...
Then everyone will appreciate u efforts...
i tried this & it works , upto 60kmph 40kmpl, upto 80kmph 30kmpl ,upto 100kmph 20-25kmpl .even though its interesting ,it really is very hard to drive at such low speeds ,in 5 th gear the turbo picks up widout accelerator to 50kmph ,& da empty road & odd timings push ourselves because it has a big punch under da hood.i drove once above 160-180kmph & it emptied da tank like nothing ,bt i was surprised to da distance i covered. in de end dont go for maruti .

i own a ford aspire diesel and it returns amazing fuel efficiency on yhe highway. i managed to achieve 30 kmpl on the high way with the following conditions.
1.Speed maintained between 60-70 kmph
2. AC turned off
I am not sure what you are telling, i had swift dzire, which i get the same 30 kmph with driving 70 - 80 with AC full on....

Bought New ford figo oxford white Titanium + TDCI last week. Yet the car is not delivered, strucked in RTO. I feel satisfied with my purchase after many positive videos about the new Figo and aspire. Hope I get my car soon. Can't even wait for it,.

One idea !! drive all cars in competition in the same lane with you leading . this will give all figures of all the competition. accurately. (given at low speeds air drag is not a major factor). This will also assist other drivers following you to get better economy.

To anybody who thinks they'll be saving fuel and in turn, money, should realize that you'd have to drive at really slow speeds.
You either pay with money, or with time. And if you do decide to pay with your time, go ahead, drive your car slow and get the best mileage possible.
But you'll waste a lot of your precious time. And the sad thing about time is, you can't get it back, and you can't get anymore. For money, you can always get more, and whatever you spend, it will be replaced with more money in the next month through your salary. The same thing cannot be said about time however.

ZARN Mag I understand that. But there are people out there driving at these lowly speeds of 55 km/hr on the highway to get the best mileage possible and it's irritating.
Because most don't realize that time is more valuable than money.

This is not about saving time or fuel. It's just for a record purpose. No one drives @ 55kmph in a high way. In other words it just proves aspire is a better vehicle as compared to others in the same segment.

On the other hand, the Ford Figo Aspire makes for a nice city commuter in its petrol guise and a great all-rounder in its diesel avatar. If we understand you correctly, you are purchasing a new car from dealer's end. It might be the reason that, they are offering the year end discount, and you can go for it. But, do check it for scratches or damage during storage. Check the electricals too and look at the brake discs to spot rust (if any). Also, read the fine print to be sure that the warranty is valid from the date of delivery.

+Biswajit Borphukan It would be unfair to give any verdict here as it depends on physical condition of the car, no. of owners etc. If you find its condition good, then it would be a nice option.
U can also try speed up with 100km or 110 than you take a real average....in this video as you drive with sarval 60 to 80 so may be it is possible...but its take a too time for reach to one place to onather place...

I too made a drive of around 750 kms in the stretch of 12 hours and I was pretty fast during the day and touched 140 most of the time, In the night I was little tense and drove between 40 to 60 avg speed because it was the record holder denser winter fog night in Asia just behind Canada.Thus got avg mil. of 23 km/ltr

+Karthik figo is bigger in size and more powerful than i10. if you are only a city user, i10 will be good for you. if you are a highway driver, figo is the best with 1.5 Litre engine with 100 ps power. i own a figo aspire,and i must say it is really good.
Why not... 10 x times better than Grand i10 diesel... And you know one fact, it can beat even the Volkswagen POLO GT in a drag race.. 0-100 in 9.4 Seconds.. Unbelievable engine by Ford

haha..the funniest comment, if you are looking for a silent vehicle, buy a wagon R..it is almost silent. grand i10 is better in terms of features. now tell me how many of us buy a car for features ?? or we go for better engine and power ?? swift is gonna sunset with the baleno entry.

+Tushar Bose If we talk about Aspire diesel performance, the 1.5-litre diesel makes a sprightly 100PS of max power and 215Nm of torque. This engine gets a new Getrag 5-speed gearbox too. Let’s talk about the diesel first. It retains its punchy nature and accelerates like a bullet as soon as the needle goes past the 1800rpm mark. Its acceleration is relentless and the 215Nm of torque makes itself felt in more ways than one. You can be in any gear and a gentle push on the throttle is all that’s needed to propel the car forward. Out on the highway, you can leave it in 5th and not worry about shifting down even if the speed drops to the lower fifties. You can also power out of corners in a gear higher than you normally would and the Aspire always responds with a bucketful of torque. The new Getrag transmission feels light and precise. Effort while shifting is minimal, though you do need to get used to the collar for putting into reverse. It is at its most versatile in third as it will pull from 30 to 110kmph with ease. It is equally comfortable sitting at triple-digit speeds and a dab of the right foot is enough to perform even the most unplanned of overtaking manoeuvres. It is still a treat to drive with ample torque at your disposal.
With a tested mileage of 15.92kmpl in city, it marginally betters the already frugal Dzire (15.85kmpl) but falls behind on the highway at 19.52kmpl vs the Dzire petrol’s 20.90kmpl.

Try 100kmph and 120kmph. That will be useful. Practically 50-60kmph will not be useful.
upto 60kmph 40kmpl, upto 80kmph 30kmpl ,upto 100kmph 20-25kmpl upto 100-120kmph 16-22 above 160kmph -7-9kmpl. diss is wat i face in long drive. if u have a question on y such low speeds ,i often travel in midnight 11pm & travel 350km so i reach by next day morning . heavy savings wid comfort bt sumtimes it gets itchy & i drive 120kmph

If you don't want to settle for the current-gen model, we suggest you wait (but this could take a couple of months) or choose from other compact sedans such as the Maruti Dzire or even the upcoming Honda Amaze, which is expected to launch in April/May. With my wagonr Lxi i got 260kms ride within 3 ticks(10.5litres) of petrol.that comes to 24.76kmpl

That's an amazing mileage. These days bikes are not so efficient. 200cc bikes are hardly getting those figures. Cars are getting really efficient. How can a car even idle with such a big engine and be so efficient. 1500cc diesel engine is as efficient as a 200cc petrol engine.
My 6000 kms completed on aspirr its giving me average in between 15 to 16 till now.
I use my car daily 60 kms 10 kms in city and 50 on highway.
I dont understand how people claims average of 30 and 40
i suggest u to put da odometer in kmpl mode . dan drive steadily over 60kmph on 5th gear .(remember turbo will automatically push ur vechicle to 50kmph in 5th gear,so after diss tap da acclerator slowly) 2yrs back itself i got 30kmpl & still getting da same .

Driving fast can reduce your fuel efficiency by up to 33% if you are travelling above 60 mph. It is best to change gears appropriately and match the gear and the RPM carefully. Changing the fuel filter on a regular basis will ensure that your car runs smoothly by letting only fuel into the engine instead of other residue from the tank and a clean air filter promotes better combustion which optimizes fuel economy. The tire pressure should be checked at least monthly because properly inflated tires can improve fuel efficiency by up to 3%. You can keep these things in mind while maintaining your car.

its a super se bhi uper car if looking for saftey with style go for it but.. every thing has its pros n cons n yes it has too the car is fully loaded with evry thing but ... the mileage which is like paisa petrol ki treh bhana ... i owns aspire petrol it is giving avg of 11 kmpl .if mileage is not your concrn go for it ...

The claimed mileage for Petrol is 18.16 KMPL (Highway) and 14.68 KMPL (City). The mileage will vary in real conditions depending upon the driving conditions and vehicle maintenance.
