Got mine 2 days ago after 2 years with the S21+. Glad I got this and very pleased. It’s great to hold and the 1cm smaller or so screen doesn’t really make any difference that is noticeable. The battery, well just put on charge as down to “42%” from full charge over 24 hours ago. Ticks all the boxes and fully recommend. Ps there is a great feature in the Widgets in “Bixby vision”, when you point the app at a different language maybe in a menu, it translates the words to read on the phone, brilliant.
I am using S line since s1. All my main phones are galaxy s line, and i have pixel 7 pro and iphone 14 pro 1tb as back up. But samsung s23 the best. Battery stays from 7 am till 8pm easily with 30% at the end of the day
Hi Mark. Thanks for another update on the S23 base and that still "fan boy" of it. Watching on my S23 base, Black,256, which I upgraded to from the Z Flip 4, last Tuesday. Agree with your S23 base comments, much better improvements from the base S22. Will be interesting to see how this will compare to the Z Flip 5, later this year. Also keep up the "jokes!". I have the S23 Ultra. On multiple occasions I had 80% left at the end of the day, and usually around 70%. I've never had to charge it within 2 days. I don't understand how that is possible, it blows my mind.

I'm happy with the charging it's not going to kill your battery 🔋 IMO and Samsung offer so much people say "oh it's overkill," well you don't have to use all the features but they're there if yo want them.
Having mine since Tuesday, this device is outstanding, I can't even find another word to describe it... I'm using also a Pixel 6a as secondary, imho Samsung and Google are winning the game.

I bought the S23 256GB lavender and it's a great phone the battery life is very solid now and it's easy to handle, also the chipset is better than ever! As for the case i use the spigen liquid air black it makes the phone grippy and it's slick instead of the bulky fat cases that turns phone's into bricks, that said i'm really satisfied with the S23 because we always had the exynos trash can chipsets in europe!
I updated my S22 to a S23. I wasn't sure about doing it because I want my phones to last, but it was an excellent decision. I'm no power user, but even then my S22 was always warm and its battery barely lasted one day (like 4 hours of SOT). Now I'm sure my s23 will be with me for many years to come, it's a great phone.

One thing worth mentioning is that the Pixel always ships with a brand new version of Android, and these phones are released at opposite ends of the year. So in 2022, the Pixel 7 series shipped with Android 13, while the S22 ran on Android 12 for the bulk of the year and got the 13 update after the launch of the Pixel. That's not a bad thing, it just means they're actually on an even playing field in terms of software updates since Galaxies get one more OS update than Pixels. I think it just comes down to your preference. There are pros and cons to each version of Android... I'm just glad non-iPhone users have such great options!

Honestly I’d suggest getting the normal S23! Trust me, it’s a WORLD of a difference when compared to the S8. Don’t worry about the 200mp on the s23 ultra, you wont *really* notice a massive difference over the S23

I've been strictly only buying Samsung phones since the 1st Galaxy S and upgraded to the new version within a month of Samsung releasing it (T-Mobile Jump), I stopped buying phones like that once my priorities changed, I've been had this S9+ since a month of it's release (it's the last version that works with the free vr goggles they gave when I got my prior phone), I ordered a S23 (that'll be here tomorrow), Am I gonna be disappointed or excited with my purchase?
I've been a Pixel fanboy since they came out, but now I just find them to be boring. Overall they are really good phones with a great camera, but just boring. I've set aside my Pixel 7 Pro, my Pixel watch and my Pixel buds for the S23 Ultra, Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Buds 2 Pro. Samsung just has so much more to offer I think. Plus I really like customizing my phone and Samsung makes that easy. It's pretty easy to do on Pixel as well with a 3rd party launcher but I like the fact that Samsung gives that to you.
Here's a tiny review from me, it's compact, amazing screen, amazing battery (i got 6-8hr sot), good gaming performance (not really stable for long gaming session), amazing camera (just a little oversharpen but, other than that it's really good), and good speakers (low freq is decent but it's clear and loud)

to many, those things dont matter. I know people with iPhones that dont even realize their phone records in 4k.. so yeah, its fair 'just' camera, battery and larger display to many, isnt a factor. of course, if its a factor for you, then the ultra is the better phone.
Iphone sort of copied Samsung. You have always been able to edit lock screen on Samsung by holding your finger down on lock screen. My next phone might be the S 24 plus 👀
Samsung is expensive here. Every year new improvements the price will go high. I know they can make 166Hz, 24 hours using the battery, 200x optical zoom, or even video they can improve it. Feels like they are playing with us. 😒

It's always good to have that option and taking that away, is feeling like the apple way of doing things. If you turn on adaptive brightness and use dark mode all times, the battery lasts crayon longer. I love this phone
my only issue was the memory if the s23 had expandable memory id have bought it right away im still on the s9 so ether is a massive upgrade
