Your video is useful and easy to understand! I have the exact takedown rifle and OD green x-22 backpacker, paring with my OD green SA XD that gonna look very great
If you just want to keep it ultra light I'd suggest using an aperture rear sight on the receiver. The 22LR is flat shooting enough that with sights .75" above the bore, CCU 36gr MiniMags sighted in at 65 yards will be no more than 1" above or below the line of sight from 0 to 75 yards. That covers a lot of ground without magnification. Personally, I would mount a Primary Arms 6x fixed magnification scope to the receiver. With the ACSS 22 reticle it provides range estimation, hold overs and wind hold offs out to 200 yards. Get this scope and you will develop a whole new appreciation of what a 22LR can do.
@@RuggedOutdoors I talked with ‘em both for a little while in Vegas one time. They are great. I don’t have an RV but seeing them after meeting them makes me kinda want one. lol
I like the X22 stock but mine is in mossy oak and pretty as heck so I’ll keep it the way it is..did a trigger job on it and put aftermarket bolt release and mag release..nice rifle you have there!
Try adjusting the barrel adjustment lock (the gear-tooth looking ring that the barrel fits into). Adjust it as tight as possible so you can barely rotate the barrel on.
What's the story on getting these stocks? I go to the manufacturer and they're completely out of every model. Are they trying to tell me to go to a dealer?
just had a customer who bought one of these...... I did the install using your video and found it helpful!!!!! thank you !!!!
Glad it helped
Great install vid! I wanted to watch before I install mine! Made it easy and won’t have to read instructions! Thanks!
Glad it helped!
Nice! I have the exact rifle down to the color. I added the Magpul optic mount with a Vortex Venom red dot on it. Very happy with the setup.
Thanks for checking us out!
Congrats on 30k views!
I have a Red Dot on my take-down. Love it. Just received the Magpul stock. Thanks for the instructions.
Cracked me up when you said to get it out idk what you do 😂😂
I just installed one yesterday.
GREAT REVIEW /INSTRUCTION. FIVE STAR. THANKS 👊🏽
Thanks very clear concise video and explanation
Don’t use your torque drive to loosen screws, it will mess up the calibration. Great video though, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the tip! Appreciate it.
Came here to say this, but looks like you covered it. Good tutorial video though.

Always use a drop of blue lock tight on the screws. Great informative video
Good idea. Thanks for watching!

Cool little project.
Thanks! It is fun modifying these little rifles. Thanks for watching.
You just need to loosen the screw on barrel band and slide it forwards.

@@David-Drums never met them but watch a lot of their videos. RVing is great fun!
Is that torque driver necessary? Debating wether I need it
Thanks for watching. I believe that the torque driver is good as you need to torque the bolts to the appropriate spec to keep everything tight.

Will the Magpul Backpacker Stock fit in Ruger back pack after it is installed? I like the factory bag and would like to keep it.
Nice video. Is there a mount for a bipod?
Yes there is one available from Magpul. Thanks for watching!
Will this stock work with the 18 inch barrel that comes with a normal 10/22 instead of the 16 inch one that most people use with it?
Does anyone know what the length of pull is for the backpacker stock? I've heard both that it has a 13" lop and other sites say 13.75" lop.
I have the regular 10/22 can i still get the breakdown stock?
I do not believe so as the barrel and everything are different
Do you know if this will fit on a non takedown version? I like the light weigh aspect of this stock compared to others
Thanks for watching, to be honest I do not think it will fit.
@@RuggedOutdoors it won't but the Hunter x-22 will

I do not have that problem with mine.
