    FAQs??
    -How many squares do I need for a baby blanket?
    This can vary, it really can be however big or small you like, but i generally do 4x4 or 5x5.
    This blog post might be useful: bit.ly/1UIobie
    -How many chains shall I do for a *single/double/etc' blanket?
    Again, this can vary. I would suggest that you do your chain and lay it down agains the bed you are wanting it for. It should be the same width. You should then ad a few more to make it a little wider.
    This blog post might be useful: bit.ly/1UIobie
    -How much yarn do I need?
    Unfortunately, I will not be able to answer individuals questions about how much yarn you would used do to multiple factors affecting it. Such as, your tension, the size of hook and the yarn being used.
    -What equipment do you use?
    Camera: amzn.to/2jkNDl2
    Tripod: amzn.to/2w4ReK8
    Ring Light: amzn.to/2w4vrC7

    Thank you for a very pretty tea cosy. I did get a bit fed up with all the stopping and starting with lots of ends to weave in though and wonder if there is an easier method with just open side seams that could be sewn up but allowing space for spout & handle. Lovely tutorial - great fun and very clear. I like your presentation style Bella Coco. Had the same problem as @SIOBHAN DELANEY (below) in the spout row - had to go back and do 8 instead of 7 clusters, so I ended up with 9 instead of 10 which would have made it skewiff! Looking good now. :-)

    • @butterflymo
      @butterflymo 3 роки тому

      I am also having this issue on row 6 it's you say in the video that after 7 clusters in cluster 8 is when we begin to do the double clusters. So I have seven clusters and then the two doubles and then 10 on the other side you stated that it should have 9 on One and 8 on the other. What am I doing wrong?

    So cute! Great tutorial! Is there some reason slip-stitching across areas to “start” new stitches in other places wouldn’t work? I’ve never seen the cut-yarn-restart method you’ve used, but it seems simple enough. I just hate weaving in ends 😉

    • @bellacococrochet
      @bellacococrochet  3 роки тому

      Thank you 😊 It's just personal preference; I find that a lot of slip stitches creates a 'line' that can be noticeable. If you want to avoid having so many ends to weave in there's no reason why you can't use that method though.

    I finished my cosy, but it looks awful on my brown Betty which is tall rather than round. The uneven puff count is really noticeable around the handle. Also the constant cutting and re-threading was cumbersome not only that but the many weaving of threads into the project was a huge turn off. That said, your tutorial was clear and easy to follow, great close ups of the hook to show how to do the stitches, and I loved the 'pause' labels to keep me from getting lost. Great video. I need a new teapot now.

    I love this pattern and would like to use it for a 2 cup teapot. Not sure how to adapt it to fit. I’ve tried just 3 clusters in the first row but it doesn’t look right. I’d like some advice please. Thanks!

      To make this for a smaller teapot you would need to make less clusters so that it creates a smaller cosy. I can't say exactly how many as it will depend on the teapot you are using, so it may require a bit of trial and error 😊

      @@bellacococrochet ok thanks. Maybe I'll try again with a smaller hook too but I'm not very good at adjusting patterns.

    Hi I know this is an old post but wondered if I needed to do this for a bigger teapot would I just double the instructions? I did 1 already and it fitted perfectly for a small teapot. TIA

      To make it bigger you can just increase your hook size and use a thicker yarn, that way there is no need to alter the pattern 😊

    hi there...just wondering is it ok to use cotton yarn for this project thanks

      lucie arruda you can. Use any natural material though cotton and wool would probably work best. I wouldn't recommend synthetics like acrylic because it has the possibility of melting.

    Doesn’t acrylic yarn melt under heat? Why not use cotton?
