This works! Shame on Akai for not giving real support on non-MPC-DAWs. FAQ and Help documents do not tell anything about splitting the drum pads on different channels. Others UA-cam videos about the Miniplay MK3 do not really focus on Midi settings also.
The fact you have to buy a 3rd party template to use a keyboard like this in FL is crazy, well made and priced by you but they aint missing any opportunities huh
I did it right to the end and I can see the MIDI keyboard responding as I tap or use the keys but I get no sound? I is confused plz help I just updated to FL 24 and as I am playing around I got some sounds so I think I need to adjust things like the channels and all that (I am a super beginner)

Hey, i already did every step up to the part where we open the template we downloaded. I know it got updated, but now there isnt a way to get to the "Favorite Editor." i dont see an option for preset in the top right of my editor, like there is in the video. Please help
Open the editor, then use the File-> Open to find the file. For some reason PCs/MACs don't like it when you try to open the file directly from the folder. Instead open it from the app.
This video is based on the template that has to be purchased. It can be done without it but you would have to manually map it…most ppl just find it easier to use the template and ask for support if they need it. Totally worth it.
Keys or pads? You can set the pads to always be full velocity or sensitivity based. If you’re using sensitivity based, try playing with the velocity curve in the fl midi settings
Make sure you have the correct editor. There is a specific one for each keyboard model. And then make sure you downloaded the correct template for your keyboard. It's easy to confuse the models. If you still need help, email support@allbangerz.com

Yeah if you go back to the editor that you used to install the template. You should be able to do it there. Note this is not part of the template, the template focuses on the drum pads.

Instead of showing you how to make everything fit your needs, what is what and everything he just tries to sell something. Sad actually, no wonder his channel doesn't really grow that much. hi, i bought the template on my mac, unzipped it, but i cant get it to open in the program, first, my program is not exactly the same as yours, its called "MPK mini editor - MK3". i dont have access to the same that you download and when i go to files, it cant find the file as it was not the right format. do you have any idea why it's doing that?
You have the wrong editor I think. There is a specific editor application for each keyboard. You should see it in the download section of the akai website after you register your keyboard
You can record the onboard sounds but you need to go from the headphone jack into your computer or audio interface. And using FL in this case, change the input on one of those channels to use the audio interface input that you plugged into
I downloaded the template and extracted all, but the folder is empty when I open it in mpk mini III program editor. It only showed 3kb in the downloads folder for the file. What did I do wrong?
Hi, I downloaded and installed the program to my MPK mini. I went into FL Studio and changed the MIDI controller. Only one of my pads work, and it sounds one track. None of the other pads, knobs and keys work anything. They don't even light up when I press them. Am I doing something wrong or what? Any advice is appreciated.

Are you on Mac? I tested there too but just wondering. Also be sure to unzip the folder and make sure you have the right software editor. It's specific for each keyboard model. If you still have issues email me.

How did I ruin it? Everything works as shown and works for 100s of ppl…maybe you missed a step. But you should be able to reset it in the midi editor app.

the keys work (of course) but you would have to manually assign the knobs to specific parameters in serum

I think you downloaded the wrong template or the wrong program editor. You had a Mini "Play" MK3 file but a Mini MK3 editor.

Probably didn't set the omni preview channel. Email me a screenshot of your FL Midi settings if you are still having issues.

Make sure you don't have any other apps using the keyboard (like the editor app) close them out.
What version of fl studio did you us
I was on 20 but it should work for any version
