Question about the injora cling ons. So i just got my first mini crawler. The hobby plus cr18p evo pro. Never owned anything but walmart r/c's. Was building lego technic with power functions building crawlers with my 2 boys, blowing servos and just not getting the desired results. Looking at a different way to build a drive plus steering front end one night i came across a mini crawler video. A couple weeks later started researching mini crawlers and came across your channel. Basically binged a ton of you vids. It just so happened you had just done the review on the evo pro. So yep, thats what i got. I told my wife when it came in it was the smallest, cutest, meanest thing i had ever seen. Then we started playing with it and oh my goodness it is awesome. Im hooked. Told the boys and wife i would get them one or they could pick their own. My 14 year old wanted the toyota lc80. And my 6 year old wanted the rock van evo even though i told them they arent as capable. The wife wants the evo pro with a bug body so i ordered one from ebay to put on hers and just ordered the other 2. Im a complet newbie to this world but am very mechanically inclined. So to my question, when it is in the budget, can i get these wheels for the evo pro, rock van and yota? I tried to look into it but it looks like they are for 1/24 scale. And i have no idea what type of rims to get. Just lost bro but you seemed pretty inthusiastic about these tires. I wont be able to get them like tomorrow but maybe in the future as it was a choice to make the evo pro into an at least close to comp crawler and have fun taking turns or get everyone their own and we all get to crawl together. I chose the latter so it will be a bit before i am able to outfit all with rims and tires. I have also learned about the front and rear axles and portal covers and all the other stuff but that would be super far in the future. So yeah, weve put this thing through its paces and the first upgrade we will probably do will be rims and tires and if were gonna pony up later, we would like to get super good ones and not have fitment issues. Thank you so so much for your videos as they seem super thought out and informative. God bless, oh and just realized im on my wifes account so thats why its a girls name, im Chris. Just thought that might throw you off a bit.
Great story Chris! Welcome to the hobby! The wheels/tires are pretty universal across the smaller scales. Just review the hex size to make sure they are cross compatible. But I swap wheels across the evo pro, Cr18p, scx24, and trx4m no problem.
@@CapeCrawlers @CapeCrawlers Oh wow, just realized how long that was. I'm so sorry and thank you so much for replying. Just figured out what a hex size is and pulled out the mics. .276" or 7mm for the evo pro. And injora has a pic that gives the dimension for the hex size. I am learning and would have probably spent alot longer looking and trying to figure out or ordered something that didn't fit if it hadn't been for your direction. Thank you so so much. Going with either the injora turbines with brass inserts or the 1.3 brass beadlocks with the cling ons. Leaning towards the brass beadlocks for weight down low but i like the turbines better. They don't have inserts yet. They have a question on their site about them and injora said it would be some months before they have them. Thank you once again for the direction. Would have been lost without it. I've learned 95% of what I know from your videos. Thanks once again and God bless sir.
Nice! Looks like a great option. Sidehill will be negatively affected, but these larger motors will help slow crawl and punch. I had a 270 in my scx24 about 4 or 5 years ago, w/ a shapeways motor mount by Gamy. I loved it, but not for comp crawling due to sidehill loss.
@@icee753 yeah, it's a lot of weight up high. On a larger rig you have a bit more wiggle room, but it's still a bit much weight up high. Pros and cons really. I really liked it, the larger motor has an easier time starting the movement of the rig early (begins that slow crawl sooner as opposed to a small motor having to work harder and then lurching forward), and i could punch it to lunge forward with great power and control, but sidehill definitely suffered. As an example of the slow crawl being affected by motor power and torque... two 050 motors will have better slow crawl than one 050 motor, because they begin to move the rig sooner. Sorry for the rant, i know you didn't ask that. Yes, this heavy motor is quite heavy up high, but has other benefits, so not that bad at all.
@@petejones6827 that doesn't seem too bad, and on a larger rig maybe it's a negligible amount of sidehill loss. I like these larger motors, just on the scx24 it definitely hurt sidehill.
Thanks for the great content! - I have a RCAWD 370 setup in my SCX24 Gladiator and love it. After seeing your video - I think I need this Injora 370 pro for my 4M IR40 build. I already have the MB100 running 3S (with a Mofo big block now). I have the MB100 in all my TRX4M builds except one with mofo BAM brushless (w/ dinkyRC ESC)
I assume so, will need a proper mount like the ones printed by Shapeways. I had the 270 in an scx24. Looks similar in size. Awesome punch! But the center of gravity was not so good, sidehill was definitely affected. There are others produced for the scx24 now by the major brands with the 270, probably just need to drill holes if the cann is larger.
You use many Injora parts. Their axel replacement notes you should add grease, is this to the transmission as well?. Show us how and how much. that is just to the center diff or is more involved? You got a great channel for a newbie like me.
I don't see the need for such a big motor on a trx4m. I run a holmes hobbies 180 motor with a meus 2 speed on 3s. Would be interesting to see which setup is more top heavy

Great vid...Thanks!
Would be nice if they were in stock
I've been trying to track them down before I even saw this video.
it’s in stock on amazon
Looks like a killer setup. Amazing slow crawl, good wheel speed and it wont break the bank.

Do you think the Hobbywing Mini16 would bolt up to the 370 transmission?
Hi there. Just wondering the 370 motor transmission does it use the same gears internally as the stock transmission please ?

Has anyone tried this with stock ESC. I just plugged it in and it's working? Anyone else?
Do you have a link for the micro receiver you’re using? Thanks in advance and keep up the great content!
I just installed this combo and for some reason it runs faster in reverse than forwards got any suggestions on how to fix that

What dinkyrc esc?
What battery is that? And does anyone know of a 3s battery that connects up to the injora esc
Does this work with fms electronics? I like their transmitter.
So Holmes hobbies is still the best option… 🙄
can i take the motor out and use it in an scx24?

really should just get into 1/18th scale for the mini's the 1/24 really cant compete with a 1/18th scale the longer wheelbase stock its just too good
Just smoked my stock TRX4m radio esc so I need a cheap upgrade. This might be what I’m looking for! Thanks for the review

The discount code at Injora only works on your first order. So make sure it’s a good one!

What 3s do you run with that esc?
Will it work with the hold receiver
Hey! Thats a killer setup! Do you have a good and affordable recommendation for a controller?
Yeah, that’s awesome. Dude, I wonder how it would be in the TRX.4m Chevy high Trail
The motor and mb100 and Rx all fit on there? Wow. How's the servo though? Heard it hits the hood
Have you done any upgrades to a Ford bronco? Scx1/24 by any chance.
Salut il était temps qu'il le propose le 370 , chez austar il est monté d'origine 😉
Just Ordered the esc motor and transmission combo. Just gotta wait for shipping
Awesome here watching now April 10, 7:52 PM
Hey you should try to build a mn78 rc Cherokee they are super scale
I’m new to the scene, lol, would that fit the Ascent 18? Thanks in advance , I enjoy your informative videos… 👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks for watching! It will not fit the ascent 18. The transmission mounting is different
Why can’t it work with the stock ESC?
Too powerful. Stock ESC can't handle the current draw
Here within 2mins😂also I love your vids😁
👇
Looks super smooth, maybe even smoother than the furitek python
will it fit in the redcat 18?
How do I get that badass shirt
I got it from Tiger fitness
Are you running bronco links on your tarantula?
Great combo. Awesome video Adam 💯😄
But is it 2 speed or just 1 speed?
Tried on, and ordered a 2nd one.
