    This is indeed 'Efficient Judo' - I love this channel. No nonsense explanations of great quality and genuinely efficient and effective Judo techniques and real-world combinations: obviously a superb coach working with great Ukes. Every time he says 'It looks like this' I smile inside...

      We've got a long list of content to record. But more groundwork is part of that.

      @@EfficientJudo Thanks. I genuinely don’t think I would have won without this channel. I’m only an orange belt so I still have much to learn, and this channel makes it so much easier.

    Is sasae a good follow up?

    • @EfficientJudo
      @EfficientJudo  Рік тому

      Follow ups to Tai-otoshi can really depend on how low you go with your body drop - some people have a very upright Tai-otoshi, which allows for quicker movement out of it in follow up. If you're quite upright, you might be able to knock their leg away and then Sasae, but if you have a low style of Tai-otoshi, I think the movement would be too low, especially if you're really trying for the Tai-otoshi and not just using it as setup.

    Can tai otoshi be effective in no gi against a wrestlers low stance?

    • @EfficientJudo
      @EfficientJudo  2 роки тому

      It can be if you're good enough at it. But a trained wrestler is still an experienced grappler, and no-gi is there area of expertise. There is no secret move to defeat a good wrestler.

      @@EfficientJudo coach what is your go to moves against wrestlers in no gi to take them down?
