Even your rice looks perfect! Thank you for this delectable recipe. I’ve always wished for smell’oh-vision while watching your videos. I’m sure they’re on the brink of discovering it. But once they come out with that, I’ll need taste’oh-vision. I really wish that you owned a restaurant… down the street from me. I’d be there three times a week. And I’d be three times as large as I am now. Have a wonderful weekend.
Hahaha you made me laugh with your smell and taste’oh-visions and with your triple weight gain for visiting thrice a week. That was hilarious. Thanks for making me laugh Dianna 😆.
I didn't start making good dal & bean recipes until I started using a pressure cooker. I think you're right that making dal & bean recipes is so much easier with a pressure cooker.
I am so happy that your videos popped up on my UA-cam!!!👐 I had dal saag at whole foods market for the first time on their hot food bar and i have been craving it every day since. All these spices and ingredients are so satisfying in my tummy and my brain too! Although I still feel I need some protein from meat sources on occasion, but if i were to be vegetarian or vegan, i do believe i could live on indian cooking fairly easily. Ive been having a lot of upset tummy lately, but that dal was actually comforting and nourishing because I couldn’t hardly eat anything that didn’t hurt my stomach and I wasn’t feeling very hungry either. I think i had a flu and now is passing, but i still want to keep this food as a diet staple. Im glad i found your recipe for dal here so i can make it for less cost than going out to eat and also adjust the ingredients to not have any preservatives or chemical additives that was in the one in whole foods. Their dal had moong dal so i bought some on Amazon, can i use the mung bean in place of lentils? Also Can we freeze this recipe?? Thank you also for doing these cooking videos in english because so many others do not and i can not understand them.
Made this for the second time after more than a year and OH MY, it’s even more delicious than I remember. I ate the whole plate going “Mmmm”, which had never happened for a long time. Thank you Bumbi!
I’m a Greek lady from Cyprus, who lives in London. I love your food and I try to learn it. Come on cross with your videos, and I just follow it with your humble calm, sweet voice. My respect for you now wish you love and happiness and health in your life are the best ❤
OMG Bumbi, since discovering your channel a week ago I’ve suddenly started making amazing Indian food with no experience before! This dish was just luscious, gentle warm sunny spices and the spinach is juicy but not watery, and not overcooked. The garlic butter/ Kashmiri chili/ cilantro at the end just makes you want to gobble up a huge bowl. Thanks so much!! I also made your chickpeas and potatoes recipe with canned chickpeas and it was even better than the dish I love in Indian restaurants.
Spinach with dal.Lovely. both of these are my favorites. It's winter now and spinach is available plenty in the bazaar. Must try this out before spinach exits from bazaar
@@CurriesWithBumbi I'm still following and cooking all your recipes, I can't submit any proof as my phone has limited APS, but I always give the like and save button.
Thank you for your amazing recipe for dal, which really impressed me and made me fall in love with dal curry. Butter is an eye-opener. It gives the dal so much flavor with garlic. I will repeat cooking this curry as my staple dish. You have inspired me a lot. After having traditional Japanese dishes for the new year for about 3 days, I rushed to cook Indian curry because it's so good. Maybe next year, I will be having Indian curry as my fusion new year dish. Thank you again.
I had friends for lunch yesterday and I made this as a side dish. She has just asked me for the recipe so I forwarded your video to her. I reckon you have another subscriber. Yum yum.
Thanks so much Hazel for all your support and thanks for choosing my recipe for making it for your friends. Regarding making it yummy, all credit goes to you.
I just made this, my first time venturing into indian curries (something I've been planning for a little while now). This is delicious!!! Thank you for your videos, very helpful and informative!
I usually don't comment on youtube channels but this one's special. I made this dish today and it was absolutely delicious. I am new to cooking and your instructions help alot since it's very composed. I have also made the white chicken khorma. It was yummy as well. Will be making more dishes from this channel in the future. Thank you so much for making such awesome cooking videos. 😀❤
Beautiful recipe Bumbi. I especially loved your tadka. It gives such a beautiful flavour and colour to the dal. I’ll be surely making it and will definitely give you a feedback . Thank you for mentioning all your regular subscribers in your videos. It really means a lot. 🙏👌👌🌸
My whole family loves dal, so i shall be making this tonight, to be eaten with home made naan and chapati. I have said before, but will say again that i love your presentation....very clear, unhurried and calming. I love the way your voice changes when you mention butter. As though it is something wonderful and almost holy. Makes me smile.😊😊 Thank you for another delicious and healthy recipe, maam. Very best wishes.

Bumbi, it seems like a tasty dish. I never thought of adding spinach to lentils. It is a good idea. I will make this dish and let you know how it turns out. Thanks for making this video.
Hi Bumbi, I have made several recipes of Dal as I just love the texture and taste of it - but I can honestly say - hand on heart - I have never tasted one like this. It was worth all the effort - simply delicious scrumptious. It was in a three step stage, but the result was phenomenon. I have enough for three dinners, one I will share with my daughter, whom I converted to lentils using Dal recipes, as she - like me loves curry and won't have supermarket bought or takeaways now. I didn't have any butter to hand so the only change I made was using ghee instead. Thank you once again for making this channel. Its superb.
Hi Iena so very happy to hear that your daughter likes curries. Glad you liked this recipe. I love this spinach dal as well. Ghee is even more better, good you used it. Thanks for all your support.
