-- added 15th anniversary remix
-- added three Japan-exclusive titles: Operate Shooting Star (MMBN1 remake for NDS), Phantom of Network, and Legend of Network (japan-only mobile phone battle network games)
Regarding the exclusion of Rockman.EXE WS's "Hometown": it doesn't share the melody that every single other ACDC town theme has, and it's based on the anime in which afaik lan doesn't live in "ACDC Town", so i don't consider it an ACDC Town theme.

i love the ACDC town theme so much honestly
I like how the towns theme never changed during the whole series. Even the MAIN THEME changed half way through the games! Just shows how good it is I guess

My favorite will probably still be the original. I still question how ACDC Town changed it's layout by the second trilogy. That doesn't make any sense.

Game Master 1 I can't rank between the first three. Also yeah, it changed a lot after the 4th one. Like Dex' house moved completely and the school was gone as well!
I love how, despite each game's theme arguably deviating more and more from the original with each iteration, the final one in BN6 returns to its roots, being very similar to the first two. Makes sense for a kid visiting his hometown, remembering the way it used to be when he was younger. Very classy.
They have to put a collection out on the Switch with online versus battles. I'll pay top dollar for it!

I hope so, I would live to play Battle Network 1 on my switch. I also wanna try out the other games.
I mean now that Capcom have a decent GBA and NDS emulator (Zero/ZX) I see it as a matter of time.
I'm gonna bet Battle Network and Star Force will be bundled together.

Honestly I 10000% LOVED all of the ACDC Town themes. They give you such nostalgia and a feeling of joy
I’m not a little kid anymore. I’m now a young adult. I Just graduated high school. But, this game is going to stay with me forever. Man I wish...they kept this series going. Just looking at lan and hub brings me hella back. My favorite game was megaman battle network 3 blue. This game is a underrated masterpiece.

91Coolepinguin I feel ya man, I’m 31 and these games defined my life from 6th grade all the way to my senior year, I eagerly bought them every summer during that time and I’ll never be able to re-create an experience like that
While I miss the series too. Capcom did a fantastic job running it for as long as they did. 6 games! 9 if you count SF. They dropped the ball a little with 4 but Soul Unison was amazing.
Mega Man Battle Network 3 was my first video game. The version of Hometown in that one makes me think of my best friend, who I met around the same time I played that (age 4-ish). I cry like a baby almost every time.

Well Capcom released trailer for megaman ZX/Z collection, maybe next is Battle Network/Starforce Collection.

MMBN5 has always been the best in my personal opinion. 3 is a close second.
Love the sound tracks in mmbn5 but the liberation missions ruined it for me. Still not as bad as 4 though.

They perfected it in BN 5. Then it took a step back in 6 cause it felt a little too cheery.
Funny I think 5 is the worst, both game in the series and ACDC theme

For me, my favorite versions would be BN5 and BN4. BN5 for obvious reasons. BN4's version has a unique ending sequence that no other renditions have done it, and it sounded so relaxed and chill.

I never got far enough into 6 to hear its version and I think it's probably the best. It's like the original game's but with more instruments.

Did you know that if you hear closely at 08:18 you can hear a instruments similar than the one used for the absolutely safe capsule or from the Porky's theme from Earthbound 2/Mother 3

I like 2's upbeat version the best to be honest. But we all know the arranged version blows each and every one of them out of the water.
